>Dolphins are known to be extremely rape-y >Aggressive chimps can claw you to death with their bare hands
Combines the two together and you got a creature that will frick you sexually, painfully, or both
Squidward is really what makes spongebob successful. All the best spongebob moments have Squidward. Why do the new seasons suck? Because Squidward is just used for torture porn instead of being the depressed straight man.
Interesting premise and some good jokes here and there but overall pretty mid. It feels like it was missing something in order to truly shine. >Canadian toon
Many such cases I guess.
They did show it in the daytime when it first aired. Then they put it on the night owl segment. To this day, I'm surprised I did as well as I did in school, considering how long the night owl segment lasted.
There is something so incredibly captivating about how this character gets presented, makes you REALLY want to know more about the guy. Too bad it never got far enough for that.
Opening theme was awesome, other than that though I honestly don't remember much despite it coming on quite frequently as a kid.
I guess this statement applies to most Canadian cartoons though.
Looks like the kind of show that could've benefited from being reworked for an older audience. Not necessarily going into the adult realm, just add edgier jokes and play up the horror factor more, kind of like Courage and Flapjack did. It's a show about abominations of nature after all, and one based on a H. G. Wells book of all things.
>is evil, but can socialise with the cast >his female sidekick is implied to be his lover >is voiced by a guy who worked on the series
Good god, Mr Smarty Smarts is basically Plankton
Another one of those came and went shows from childhood that I'd watch but never really think hard about afterwards. Qubo as a channel was a great place to find Quebec/European or just obscure shows >Jane and The Dragon >Jacob Two Two >Pecola >Alfred Hedgehog >Pet Alien >Jakers >Sitting Ducks >Babarr >Book Of Virtues
Can't tell which shows actually held up or if it was just empty noise for when there was nothing good on CN, Disney, or Nick
>feeling confused at the existence of two octopus cats.
Yup, when I watched this show as a kid and saw Peri my only assumption could be that he's some kind of octopus cat, only for a wrench to be thrown into that as soon as I also saw Octocat, who was also obviously an Octopus crossed with a cat but was drawn in a completely different way implying they aren't the same type of hybrid at all. I don't know if that was intentional or not to make Peri's existence more confusing.
I could have swore this and a lot of other Canadian import titles on CN were just fever dreams I had as a kid. Not even sure if this even aired on the main channel over here, I just vaguely remember watching it on their app.
Finally old enough to truly understand why the dolphin-chimp hybrid would be the evil character.
Because he is basically a human?
>Dolphins are known to be extremely rape-y
>Aggressive chimps can claw you to death with their bare hands
Combines the two together and you got a creature that will frick you sexually, painfully, or both
Peri is my son
The show is ok, I think it's funny but I understand why people think it's shit
>Optimistic mc
>Fat moron friend
>Girl
The show has its moments but man is it wasted potential
The show is just Spongebob with ground mutants.
Exactly what they were going for
Would've love it as a kid but the writing felt weak
And no squidward.
Squidward is really what makes spongebob successful. All the best spongebob moments have Squidward. Why do the new seasons suck? Because Squidward is just used for torture porn instead of being the depressed straight man.
>And no squidward.
That's what Smartypants, Joe and to some degree Patricia are for.
i always thought entree was named "andre"
Interesting premise and some good jokes here and there but overall pretty mid. It feels like it was missing something in order to truly shine.

Many such cases I guess.
Looks like a wuzzles ripoff
I love this show. Saw it on Qubo.
They always show it late at night for some reason
They did show it in the daytime when it first aired. Then they put it on the night owl segment.
To this day, I'm surprised I did as well as I did in school, considering how long the night owl segment lasted.
Fun theme song
has the court of public opinion reached a veredict? does it say "crap" or "that"?
I always thought it was "crap."
It was crap. The word was silenced in the UK, since a beep would be too noticeable.
>a beep would be too noticeable.
honestly that would've been funny.
There is something so incredibly captivating about how this character gets presented, makes you REALLY want to know more about the guy. Too bad it never got far enough for that.
Nothing, nothing bad, actually wanna see my nothing? It's fun, like the show.
>every mutant was created with a specific purpose in mind
What's hers?
An attempt to create something attractive FOR ONCE.
have you ever seen a GMO and thought "i wanna stick my dick in that"?
Yes, they're called South Korean women.
Twice?
DSL
The doctor got lonely
Look at her lips and take a guess
Opening theme was awesome, other than that though I honestly don't remember much despite it coming on quite frequently as a kid.
I guess this statement applies to most Canadian cartoons though.
Still funny they included a platypus
A platypus?
>Puts hat on
I heard the jingle.
I was oddly obsessed when it was airing.
Lost interest when it was cancelled.
That yours? Pretty neat.
I 'member you
Nice!
PEEEEEEERIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a fun show. The narrator in the latinamerican version really gave the show a Looney Tunes vibe
I've good memories watching it as kid, It still quite popular over here in Latin America due to having a good dub
I liked it a lot while it was on qubo. It's pretty moronic though so you have to keep that in mind before going in.
For a late 2000s canadian flash cartoon it wasn't too shabby
It had squicky moments,
I like how the Platypus girl wasn't even a mutant but blended in so well
The thing is, she may not look like one of the mutants, but she is. She's a platypus with a beaver's tail.
Used to be sort of popular here in Latam thanks to the dub
catchy theme song

Show was already there though.
What animal parts was the orange thing made of?
They don't know
>is evil, but can socialise with the cast
>his female sidekick is implied to be his lover
>is voiced by a guy who worked on the series
Good god, Mr Smarty Smarts is basically Plankton
And 2 Legs Joe Mr. Krabs.
one of my favorite cartoons to come out of canada
but its a damn shame Qubo only showed it at 3am
>This show really existed
I thought it was just a weird dream.
Another one of those came and went shows from childhood that I'd watch but never really think hard about afterwards. Qubo as a channel was a great place to find Quebec/European or just obscure shows

>Nothing but Nelvana shit
What a shitty channel
Don't forget Turbo Dogs!
It was kino.
We don't.
TIL Qubo is a thing that existed
I only remember two things about this show, the ketchup fight episode and feeling confused at the existence of two octopus cats.
>feeling confused at the existence of two octopus cats.
