I think he was pretty good but very much overrated, he doesnt have much range. I dont get why people worship him. Hes kind of the Bruce Willis or Stallone/Arnold of the time/westerns. Pretty much same character every time. Watching True Grit after reading the book and its pretty comfy.

Nah, from what I remember it starts with him getting his badge taken away and he has to prove he's still able to do his job like a professional, so he sets off to deal with a recent robbery and pairs up with a woman and an indian kid who have been victimized by the bandit gang
