I snorted some a few times 10 years ago. It was relaxing and kind of floaty like a painkiller. never used IV, but it's supposed to include an initial rush that dwarfs an orgasm.

those haven't been around since the 80s or 90s, I think. after benzos became popular to prescribe, the medical community decided there was no reason to use ludes, I think.

I miss being able to get oxy 10-15 years ago before le epidemic and fent. It was hours of energetic warm euphoria, with no side effects (as long as you didn't do it every day) or hangover the next day. Tried dilaudid a couple times too, that was based as well.

            Anonymous

Dilaudid was cool as frick, I will admit. Only time I ever had it was pending a surgery that I was about to undergo within the following hours. I was a nervous wreck about it and when the nurse gave me a shot of dilaudid I just stopped giving a frick. I didn't care about anything. What's that doc? You're gonna cut me open and remove my appendix with some tiny tweezers and a camera? That sounds fine. Oh, there's a chance I won't wake up from surgery? That's alright. Whenever you're ready bro

with a bit of self control and a continuous stream of dope money (eg a job) you can basically continue indefinitely. unless you're doing IV it won't wack you out or turn you into a complete lunatic like psychadelics or meth. as long as your job doesnt require lots of complex thinking you can do it while on heroin and it makes way more fun

Apparently so good it ruins your life. Christians must seethe at the notion of heroin because God made something literally TOO good for human beings to use and then manage their lives. Even the people who do get clean, which is seemingly a low count, will tell you it's simply the best and they'll always miss it. The "sex doesn't even come close" line is used so frequently, how can you not believe them?

          >with a bit of self control
0% chance of that happening. Even if you manage to "keep it together" for a while, or whatever lie you convince yourself of whilst floating on H, you will slip when the higher tolerance and threshold requirement commands you to slip. If you're wasting your heroin while you work, you're already there.

no, but you can be forgiven for thinking so as the only heroin users people ever see are the junkies, the subhumans injecting themselves with everything they get within a few days and then doing everything they can to get more. like alcohol and weed, you can be a habitual user without it ever having a serious detrimental impact on your life - put it down, come back to it, put it down again. actual junkies will call you a poser for doing this though lmao

              >like alcohol and weed, you can be a habitual user without it ever having a serious detrimental impact on your life
A "recreational heroin user" is someone who has just begun their heroin use, it's a transitory state that history has proven doesn't last and because of this basically doesn't exist. The drug will eventually consume you, it's only a matter of time before the snorting stops feeling that good or maybe you're simply enticed by what the better high feels like. Alcohol and weed, especially weed, have a much lower chance of this happening to a typical user.
With booze, for instance, maybe you are comfortable having 10 bottles a year spread out across dinners. This is maintainable, though arguably still a gamble. With heroin, you either realize immediately that you've found something dangerously good and need to back off before it gets you, or it gets you. There is no in between. It's kind of the king of drugs because of this.
It's a funny drug. A feeling THAT good is something you're simply better off not knowing because of how it instantly rewires your brain. It's scratching an itch you didn't even feel, and only after using it will that itch come back.

Warm wave washing over you, removes mental pain, gives a sense of well-being, makes you very sleepy but can be surprisingly functional as drugs go. There's no mental frickery like most other drugs. I wouldn't say shooting it feels better than an orgasm, I think the orgasm comparison is because it kills your libido so a heroin addict's disinterest in sex created the belief that it's better than cumming.

If you had a near infinite supply yes, the problems really start when you run out or you try to get off it. Even then the constipation is pretty debilitating, it can eventually lead to very serious colon problems. It can also give you "bladder constipation", where you have to pee but you can't. That can be immensely frustrating/scary. There're also complications from injecting like collapsed veins or infections but I narrowly avoided that stage. It really is a terrible thing to do, and the whole miserable tortured soul shtick that goes with it gets old really fast.

everything has fentanyl in it now. you missed out on the golden age of drugs

It's possible to still get it uncut but it's more of an upmarket drug now, costs more than twice as much as good coke. In the same way that people used to run out of money for pill habits and move to heroin, people run out of money for heroin habits and move to fentanyl.

I don't even get constipation on kratom, the constipation on heroin was biblical. I probably averaged something like 3 shits every 2 weeks. Massive bone dry logs, like giant BBCs. I wouldn't wipe to clean up the shit, these shits were too dry to leave shit on my ass, I wiped to clean up the blood. It was like getting ass raped by a 270lb 6'4'' black man once a week

nta, but severe constipation is one of my biggest fears. Even though it's a "solved" condition, the feeling you get when you know you're blocked up and this is going to have to come out sooner or later and will just get worse the longer you wait is horrible. Especially when you have to really strain and you get reverse gaped

I developed a healthy fear of them after experiencing first hand what they could do to an 130lb 6' white man's butthole.

That's it exactly, the sense of impending doom, the skin tearing, the veins bursting. And they don't make laxatives strong enough for heroin addicts, I had a shelf in my bathroom full of enemas and sometimes even those weren't enough.

No, absolutely not. I was on a dilaudid drip for weeks after intensive surgery some years ago and I became addicted in a single day. I would wake up every couple hours just to hit the button again and drift off again. The euphoria you get from it is simply impossible to safely self-regulate. After I got out I was given a month’s scrip of vicodin and I ran through it and my grandmother’s which she gave me that she hadn’t been using in only a week or so trying to get on the same level. Don’t ever touch it, not worth it

      >initial rush that dwarfs an orgasm
I sometimes use tens unit pads on my dick, and I get a rush that feels better than an orgasm (eventually along with the orgasm), that makes my brain feel like I'm eating my favorite candy and talking to the prettiest girl and also it's Christmas and I'm 5. I imagine that might be what it feels like.

I try not to mess with e-stim too much bc I'm probably otherwise giving myself synaptic pruning from overload.

But if you're curious I use a couple of these units, and I snip the pads into horizontal stripes, and use masking tape. Pretty degenerate but less than heroin.

Idk getting high after a long break and then jerking off feel amazing. Same with getting high and taking a shower.
The problem is you build weed tolerance very quickly, after like day 3 I am barely getting any euphoria, it's still relaxing and nice and makes me cum harder, but like 1/10th the power on day 1.

Weed widens the experience but also somewhat numbs it, as the sense is less pointed. What that anon said is a perfect descriptor. It feels exactly like you have just come in from the cold and you’re throwing on a warm soft blanket. There’s really no better descriptive of it, everything difficult just floats away, it’s quite euphoric and it’s much more intense.

I've used them and they're moronic. Could've just be my general mental state but it degenerated me into an anxious puking mess getting confused about whether I was in hell or if reality really exists.

I genuinely believe though you no actual enlightenment from them if thats what you're seeking. Just scattered schizophrenic thoughts that mean nothing. Occasionally sure maybe there's a decent thought out of it but thats like a jackon pollock painting hitting the dead center of the canvas. You're just giving yourself temporary schizophrenia out of a pure larp that this somehow makes you more wise then other people, ironic since its supposedly supposed to dissolve your ego.

If you want genuine enlightenment there's only a few things you need to do
          >Good sleep every night
          >regular exercise
          >regular meditation
          >getting outside and experiencing the majesty of nature

Thats it. Bonus points if you read good books.

Only real alternative is going on some kind of adventure, but like actual IRL adventure not some larpy LSD nonsense.

Everyone just wants to take the easy route, including for enlightenment. No one wants to put in the daily work.

Anon I was just having a bit of a laugh, but I do agree with you: drugs are not the secret hack to finding "enlightenment" and whatever that may mean to you. Drugs may force you to confront something, though, I've had friends who didn't really come to any "deep" thoughts but perhaps because they were on drugs and "weakened" in a sense, the realizations hit them harder. Simple stuff, like finding a deeper appreciation for friendship (one friend's example) can go a long way.
I've done acid and I came to zero realizations on my trip. I saw weird shit when I closed my eyes, I went on a nice walk and thought trees and clouds were "powerful", laughed about Steven Seagal, and listened to Death Grips. Freaked out a little bit on my walk and my buddy picked me up. It was overall a fun time but not one I need again (but who knows?).
Your guide to enlightenment is similar to what I attribute to helping me out of a really shitty phase of my life: sleep, diet/exercise, and going out of my way to have a positive outlook as much as sensibly possible. Being a pessimist is gay.

not him, but plenty of people experience sheer euphoria from psychedelics. your experience doesn't represent the bulk of experiences

Regardless, and I am aware that many people do enjoy the experience, I don't take back that acid trips are merely temporary schizophrenia nothing deeper.

I don't understand heroin addiction. I took morphine for a surgery and was like 'yeah this feels good' but I don't desire to feel more. Is there a biological reason it effects people so much? Genetic? There has to be something in the person to make them want more.

Morphine is way, way weaker than heroin. Most people don't get opiates the first time they use them, many get nausea and don't seem to have a good time. It's only after you start getting the good shit like real heroin or buprenorphine and you've dabbed a little in that space but just to get a feel. Then when your body has adjusted to opiates you will get the most euphoric kind of high in the world. It's like the feeling when you nut after 1+hr fap session and the peak feeling just keeps on giving, you lose track of time but you just know you can't wait for it to happen again. And that's when you get addicted to it. Morphine is rather weak so it's similar to codeine and tramadol, but a little more potent. It's meant to prevent you from feeling pain and it does it moderately well, but it is used for the reason that it wouldn't feel too good, otherwise the addiction issue gets even worse.

I used to fake a back injury to get panacod (paracetamol + codeine) prescriptions and back then I worked a shitty customer service call center job. I was fed up with that shit by midday, so after lunch I would pop 3-4 of them, get that nice mood and the rest of the day was great. It took off the edge, I remember being quite jolly even with butthole customers, everything was more bearable. For me opiates cause insomnia so I had to stop using them, because it would boost up my lorazepam usage, and I was having a hard time (still am) getting enough of them.

But we can live life without the super euphoria feeling? Just live life. You don't have to keep taking it. So there has to be something genetic that makes people give up everything.

We can live life without that euphoria, but mostly becasue the ultimate majority is ignorant. You give that kind of an euphoric feeling to regular people they will start to get addicted like hell. Just live life? Frick you, my life has been shit for as long as I can remeber. This is not a life I chose, this is not a life I get to choose in which direction it takes me, if I could, why would I not change things? Ultimately it is genetic, but for a person working an uninteresting job in a community which is collapsing, the prospect of having an experience to forget all of that mind numbing, depressing every day shit, is persuasive.

it's not genetic with most people. Opiates are a cheat code for feeling euphoric or otherwise much better than being bored or unhappy. that's why they're so addictive

morphine is more "downer" than some other opiates as well. Oxy and dilaudid provide a more energetic euphoria, whereas morphine mostly just relaxes you.

One time after a surgery I took a shit the size of a nerf football. I don't even know how it came out of my ass. I had to chop it up with a metal knife to flush it.

Not necessarily. The doctors will look at your age. Under 20? Frick you. Around 25? Frick you but here's some OTC shit like ibuprofen. 30-35? Alright you can have a little of the good stuff. Closing 40? Yeah it's just easier to prescribe you this oxycodone. You work a job, right? No risk of addiction.

Never banged it, but I did snort it. Heavy opiate with a euphoric feeling.

I've been addicted to a less powerful semi-opioid, dyhrdocodeine. The high is a pure feeling of euphoria. It also makes everything you say feel like Shakespeare.

Being physically addicted is far more intense than alcohol or stimulant addiction. It is like a parasite has control of your brain and you have to keep using or you feel like you're going to die.
