My older sister ran the family because our parents were barely around and had a lot of issues. Being raised by a sibling is weird and unpleasant. It doesn't prepare you for the real world at all.

Maybe it's not the same for everyone but I felt isolated from other guys at school because I was a lot more comfortable playing with girls than boys. The upside to that is it was easy for me to get girlfriends because I never had the problem other guys seemed to always have of being nervous about talking to girls, but the downside was that I didn't grow up playing sports or doing most other traditional boy stuff which sucks.

I imagine it can vary a lot just like parental relationships. the environment at home plays a huge factor. im not close with any of my siblings but not because of open conflict or disagreements or anything.. we just barely knew eachother despite growing up in the same house. everyone was isolated in their own rooms and never talked. as adults, we're just as distant. they feel more like old roommates or something to me rather than siblings. maybe even less than that because I was friends with a few roommates in college
