It's really funny how AI struggles doing anime but can easily replicate the house American 3DCGI art style of the past 20 years.

it depends on what model you use. some of those Stable Diffusion models are trained solely on ArtStation art, which harbors that sort of style but virtually no anime whereas other models like the one NovelAI uses is trained on Pixiv.

yeah and even then it fails to replicate anime

          anime is safe

One of the most over saturated art styles of the 21st century, often criticised for its sheer homogenisation within the post 2000s, which has been practiced and replicated by teens for decades, is not fricking safe. The sheer amount of shitty anime pin up art being churned out of AI models and looking on point if not better than most coomer pics only shows thst it will eventually applied for media production. Even fricking bing AI can do something as specific as 80s era AI fairly well and thats an aesthetic modern artists struggle to do justice. Western animation is not only fricked but asian animation too as AI models chug along and being tone death to think its exclusively western is moronic.

"Creative director: Balak" come on lol why make this a French-American collaboration headed by the Netflix Castlevania guy with American writers. your animation industry is already better why do you need US guidance

This is good news. Animation fans rejoice. Drop the charade & let the formulaic films be made by literal formulas

Think about what Jeff Katzenberg considers a "world-class animated movie" & realize nothing of value will be lost to this sort of automation
