it was very unique in imbuing in me a very radical anger for the characters. I was roaring by the time the FBI showed up. The film had to be as long as it was to elicit that type of emotion and not suffer whiplash. To illustrate just how systematic it all was there. I think I was particularly taken back by the level of villainy and betrayal of love and trust. it was also a poignant example of evil and the banality of evil.
This. There were hardly any action scenes. Also I kept waiting for Moon Knight to show up but he never did. So I realized my mistake and ended up watching Moon Knight.
Moon Knight > Killers of the Flower Moon
>It's a topic we don't see covered ever and it led to some great drama.
I'm fricking sick of seeing chugs on my television because I live in Canada. At least they're better than pajeets.
I thought pacing in first half was too slow even for a 3+ hour movie, just not enough going on. People complained about Irishmans lenght but in this movie it felt worse. Still the best movie of last year but I was very bored with the whole movie until Plemons popped up and when he did I had a straight up basedjack reaction.
also in terms of the movie, Leo's character was one of most moronic people in history of movies.
You get to be married to ultrarich trad faithfull Mona Lisa girl that just wants to keep giving you money forever while raising kids with one another and you instead decide to cheat on her with your rich evil Uncle Devill??
What a moronic homosexual.
IRL it makes sense since the woman was a fricking rock golem but the actress in the movie is so hot you need to be a total homosexual to ever pick anything other than pumping her full of cum being alcoholics together for 60 years
looked gay, didnt watch it. from what i heard its about these rich injun ladies that crave white wiener and keep marrying their oil fortunes over to white men with white wieners?
Watched it this weekend finally. Huge Scorsese fan but this felt like a letdown (just like The Irishman). As other anon's said, the pacing was terrible, there was a good hour of content that could've easily been cut out (we get it, they were doing bad things and murdering the natives, we don't need 6 different scenes and 5 expositions hammering it into our heads).
Also, I don't think this specific historical event translates to a satisfying film at all. There's no real payoff or climax. The white people fricked over the natives a lot... The End, some of them got caught and some went free. It felt more like a dramatized documentary than an actual film. No character "grew" or "changed" throughout the movie either, which I think also felt unsatisfying.
Leo deserves the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
Yup one of best performances
What the frick was he doing?
His "acting" scene was so forced. It seemed like they added it in later.
Very sad, poignant film.
Leo was very funny in this and I don't know how much of that was intentional

Yep. It wasn't long for no reason. evil is boring. The worst burns are slow
The first third was a warning about the evils of race mixing. So it was excellent in my book
>a warning about the evils of race mixing.
How? The white people all became absurdly rich because they race mixed.
It made me hate white people
Lots of great shots
I was disappointed by The Irishman so I had low expectations but I thought it was excellent. Makes me want to rewatch Irishman too
Shit pacing. Shit writing. 3/10
I'm astounded at all the gays in here that liked it. Then again, most people are always morons.
I agree pacing could've been better, but writing was not too bad. What else didn't you like about it

I don't know where the frick the budget went, like it's a great looking film but it does not scream 300 million to me.
Away from the last hour being a drag (they could've trimmed off like 20-30 minutes and it wouldn't affect the film) it's still a really great movie.
It's a topic we don't see covered ever and it led to some great drama.

Fricking kino.
Basically everything you hoped it would be. If this was Scorsese's last film, then he'd have ended his career on a bang.

You have to be 18 to post here lil guy
I refuse to watch the films of Robert Deniro, or Hollywood films in general actually.
