They are all insecure about being losers in highschool and think that they’re psyopping society to become like how they wanted it to be when they were socially rejected 13 year olds
Holy projection

It's when there's all serious moments are followed by a quippy joke to break the tension
Orson Welles' quote about Woody Allen sums it up perfectly.
>I hate Woody Allen physically, I dislike that kind of man. He has the Chaplin Disease; that particular combination of arrogance and timidity sets my teeth on edge. Like all people with timid personalities his arrogance is unlimited. Anybody who speaks quietly and shrivels up in company is unbelievably arrogant. He acts shy, but he loves himself; a very tense situation. It's people like me who have to carry on and pretend to be modest. To me, it's the most embarrassing thing in the world - a man who presents himself at his worst to get laughs, in order to free himself from his hang-ups. Every thing he does on the screen is therapeutic.
I kinda understand what he's describing but he seems to be seething excessively. That part about pretending to be modest, that's still about Woody Allen, right? That's Welles voicing Allen's mindset?
Not that's him making a joke, my autistic chum.

Excessive irony, for one. I think it's harder to get them to be sincere. Everything is for effect, for better or worse..Like it or not, this site and shitposting in general is full of millennial shit.

Using context clues what do you think millennial writing is?
>anti-capitalist
>Champaign socialism
>lots of talk about pay, healthcare, and rent
>anti religious
>infantilizing speech (doggo, pupper, fat=heckin chungus, etc)
>social justice issues are portrayed as ultimate moral authority
>very into the philosophy that everything is grey while portraying all issues as black and white
>very into the philosophy that everything is grey while portraying all issues as black and white
As opposed to...? Name one generation that didnt think like this
Before the 60s things were simply black and white.
diversity compliant epic random escapism for 30 year who are afraid to laugh at anything related to reality
Demoralization degenerate misery porn.
>If even one of us makes it home, we can return in force and sweep the enemy from these lands like salt from a table
Its when i kill all zoomers frick em GET THR FRICK OUT DIEDIEDIEDIE
"Akward" dialogue in lieu of any humor or wit is one example that springs to mind. And excessive, cringe worthy swearing with additional adjectives. "Frick" turns into "shitty fricking scuzz nuggets" or something equally try-hard.
I am one but when I see the term "millenial writing" I think of a woman who writes characters based on arguments she's had on twitter
That's pretty accurate
>That's not a thing that's happening.
>You absolutely sound like that.
>Did I just do that?
>Yeah, okay, that is something that I do now.
