    >Labyrinth
    >The Fifth Element
Among my favouites though they get a lot of hate, no real idea why haven't seen a concrete argument against either.
Why - I like Fifth Element for the same reasons people like Demolition Man I reckon, the quirky futurism and the way it's satirical of the genre. Labyrinth mostly for Bowie's excessive bulge.
    >The Boondock Saints
I don't know why it doesn't get more recognition, especially with Dafoe's performance. Great watch.
    Why - Tomatometer 28% Audience Score 91%
    >In Bruges
Haven't heard anyone talk bad on this film, which is incredibly rare.
Why - A real gem for it's comedy

Fifth Element gets hate because of the negative blowback on the strong woman who beats up lots of bad guys trope. I give this movie a pass personally though.

Seeing a 16 year old Judy Garland hold together what was a complete shitshow production wise is really something exquisite.

Adams Family. I like how Angelica Huston is always lit as if by moonlight. And the scene where Fester has to dance the Mamuschka and discovers he knows the moves. Never fails to crack me up.

    >Master & Commander: Far Side of the World
i found this movie ages ago by searching for "good movies where no woman fricking speaks" and its exactly that
but its also such a great movie about love, love for your friends, comrades, home and love for duty
    rewatch it a lot

    >13th Warrior
this one i have always loved basically because of the imagery and music
the lighting of the dark halls, dank forests, open fields, caves and the fire wyrm scenes are just so great combined with the musical themes
it also has some of the most kino macho scenes i know about and over the top dramatics
was gutted when i recently googled it on a whim and found out its considered "one of the worst movies of all time"
doesnt stop me from rewatching it every year tho

Rewatched these both multiple times as a kid. There's something comfy about these sequels. I expected them to be average but found them better than the first parts.
