What happen with this guy? He is hot, has a nice voice and MCU behind his back. Pretty much every actor from an original Avengers line up has a better career.

All of his films outside of MCU haven't been very successful and almost every time he opens his mouth he makes people hate him.

I liked him in Push. That movie's atmosphere was very comfy, despite what you thought of the plot. The girl with big eyebrows was hot too.

His MCU character was so much more likeable than the real him, while the other avengers were all more or less tolerable irl

He only took the MCU role because money, he wasn't really that interested in being famous or an actor anymore.
    >“If I’m acting at all, it’s going to be under Marvel contract, or I’m going to be directing,” Evans says. “I can’t see myself pursuing acting strictly outside of what I’m contractually obligated to do.”

That was before, but standing in a booth doing VA isn't really "acting". Plus more money.

            I don't think he does.

Didn't he complain that he didn't get to do enough acting while in the MCU?

Idk, just parroting what I do know.

i work with funi actors and have done a few games. it really isn't in terms of the "acting" world. there's a reason they are considered lower on the totem pole. it is obvious when someone is bad at it though.

What do you think of his VA compared to the Funi actors?

He's only paid to do it because he has a contract to do so with any Buena Vista production. He's not good, but neither are the Funimation exclusive actors either. You'll notice all the good dub VAs do stuff for Sunrise or other companies. Most of the older anime was dubbed in a fricking garage, even all the way up to RE4. By the time I was working in the industry, the original 90s actors and sound engineers were my mentors while all the people who stayed with Funimation, that is all they can do essentially. The VA-exclusive actors (pretty much anyone you'll see in a Funimation series) hate it when a "real" actor gets a voice over role because that actor is better off than they are, plus now they can potentially have a fandom in animation to pay them out the ass for autographs, etc.

Voice acting is essentially trading pay for merch and convention runs. They know anime/cartoon fans have $$$. This is also why Miyazaki films do not typically use Funimation/western VAs because they are seen as inferior to the Jap voice actors who take it more seriously, aside from the Sunrise english VAs who are put to task but generally are much more competent.

all good, met my mentor Clay (zorak voice actor) and richard epcar, very cool people. the old dudes who were in the game genuinely love doing it. it's just the pink haired hyper homosexuals that gate keep that industry hard and can't even mix their own work that make it so bad. i genuinely think most people on here can do voice acting if they just got a decent audio technica or blue mic and used fairlight. hell i use audacity for most games i do voice work in.

    >“Part of the Marvel-ization of Hollywood is you have all these actors who have become famous playing these characters,” he added. “But they’re not movie stars. Right? Captain America is the star. Thor is the star. I’m not the first person to say that. I think that’s been said a zillion times, but it’s these franchise characters become a star.”

    >“Back in 2005, if an actor stars in a movie that does as good as the Marvel movies do, then that guy’s an absolute star,” he continued. “It means people dig him or her and they like them and want to see them in stuff. Sandra Bullock is in Speed and everyone thought she’s amazing in it. Everyone fell in love with her … They were excited by Sandra Bullock and wanted to see her in something else. That’s not the case now. We want to see that guy [keep] playing Wolverine or whatever.”
