I just cracked up thinking about “Pancakes, Divorce, Pancakes.” Probably one of the funniest pieces of absurd dark comedy.

I stopped watching review after that, it was too well done. It actually made me really sad, and I think of that episode probably about once a month on average, out of nowhere, and get sad. Masterwork.

A feel like a lot of those sketch improv UCB alt comedy people who kinda ruled comedy in the early to mid 2010s all kinda disappeared in the last several years. Has that kinda comedy died out? I remember when Comedy Bang Bang was one of the biggest comedy podcasts now nobody cares about that shit anymore I was surprised to look it up recently and find out it’s still going all the guests they get these days are mostly literal whos, maybe cuz I’ve fallen out of the alt comedy of the last almost decade so I guess I wouldn’t recognize any of the modern names

      >Comedy Bang Bang was one of the biggest comedy podcasts now nobody cares about that shit anymore
It turns out when you replace funny guests with painfully unfunny guests, the show suffers. A lot of the younger comedians they get on just fricking suck, so they have to wheel out PFT, Daly and Mantzoukas to save things until they get run into the ground

Yeah I started losing interest the more new people they kept bringing in, they just didn’t have the it factor the regulars of the first couple of years did with all the crazy characters and whatnot. Lauren Lapkus and James Adomian were the last great regulars I don’t think either appear much anymore, esp Adomian who seems to have bad blood with Earwolf or whatever they’re calling the company now.

He’s probably the funniest man alive.

Wokeness killed it. Every guest list is Ooga-Booga, Goldstein, Durkha-Durkha, Silverstein, Unga-Bunga, Feldstein, Ching-Chong Wing-Wong, Steinstein, etc. They’re not even trying to put out a good episode.

lol I thought it was just me every time I look at the recent episode guest names it’s all unpronounceable names from Africa or India.

Trump broke all of their brains, unfortunately. Only the apolitical nihilists made it out alive. Now EarWolf has diversity quotas

Yeah like most LA scene comedy, I can usually pinpoint it to the 2016 election to when all those types of comedians became insufferable. I can even remember a time I found Patton Oswalt funny

You can tell even Scott knows they're fricking terrible, because for the 15th Anniversary Show he makes sure to just get "fan favourites" AKA people who are actually funny on the show

Does Gabrus ever do the show anymore? That dudes name just popped in my head forgot about him. Used to love Gino who would always reference O&A lel I remember when I first got into cumtown thinking Stavros seemed like a Jon Gabrus character

Gino is fricking great. His bit about being an FBI bait boy in the Catholic Church is an all timer. But I think Gabrus is too straight white male for the show now

Gabrus and Mike Mitchell doing their "fat guy stories" podcasts were always kino, come to think of it Doughboys is another podcast i used to love back in the day, was always curious to jump back into a modern episode and see if i still enjoy it. Mitch and Nic Wigers had a fun contentious chemistry

im gonna have to jump back in, it was always a comfy listen, Gabrus or Rust (or any of the other birthday boys) were always must listen episodes for me

It’s sad what became of earwolf, it’s all fricking NPR tier shit now. They’d never have anyone as based and problematic as Howard “Dragon Boy Suede” Kramer hosting a podcast on that network today

Based I had his CD back in the day (I think from the old Earwolf website can’t really remember where I ordered it from) I was a fan from his old Comedy Central special. What was that MTV show he starred on in the 90? Used to have a dvd I ordered of that too back in the day, watched a few episodes and liked it but never finished the series for whatever reason.

It’s weird how nobody remembers he was a cast member of Mad TV for a few years, for usually being so memorable in most stuff he was a totally unmemorable cast member on Mad

Swear I heard him on an actual FM radio ad recently, reminded me of GTA 4. Review was so good, comedy is so fricking bad now that it’s bewildering.

CBB/Earwolf died with Harris, he died just before all those guys lost their way, I'd like to think if he were still around he'd prevent them from turning into such homosexuals. his old appearances would definitely turn off modern fans of the show im sure
