No one uses hulu. I'll watch it when they merge it with disney plus.
im shocked it wasnt on hbomax
>disney plus.
>giving money to the mouse
lol
lmao
Just use piracy
and waste disk space?
It's already on Disney+ in some countries. Use a VPN
>when they merge it with disney plus.
>he doesnt know
Disney+ isn't going anywhere, but it is in a lot of hot water.
Its already streaming there with better quality
ask the writers
it's 2023. the show is okay with that. thus it is not for me.
>Fry is now a boomer
There was hype?
No, people were actively shitting on it since it's announcement.
>new
I've yet to see anything NEW
Even making Leela's ass comically large couldn't save them from how boring the reboot was.
Aren’t you gays the ones who always say fan service and waifus are what will single handed l’y save a show?
Fanservice is a multiplier, not a driver by itself.
A big butt being completely covered isn't fan service.
thats why its so impressive it still sucked
Original Rama had way more fan service
Dunno, but I’m guessing people actually watched it and it killed their enthusiasm.
>Leela isn't pregnant
The season is just "Hey! Remember this?!" and trying to be current.
That has my biggest issue for that.
The last two episodes were genuine kino thoughever, the last one especially.
**it's dead jim**
There's already a Futurama thread, dumbass.
That thread just hit limit, though seems like the last hundred comments are just arguing about the effectiveness of the mRNA COVID vaccine...
They were deleted right before the thread archived. Janny is playing games with us.
No one asked for it.
The season isn't either extreme. It isn't terrible enough to cause outrage threads but isn't amazing enough to cause hype threads. It currently sits at alright to good, sort of Comedy Central seasons level but we haven't had an episode as bad as the Susan Boil one (yet).
What "hype", you stupid fricking dipshit? What kind of raw zoomer pile of garbage would be excited for another dead-an-arrival decades-too-late soulless reboot of Futurama? Frick off if you even think this garbage deserves even a snot's worth of attention.
>2 new seasons confirmed
>nobody cares about it, even Cinemaphile the site that wants revivals more than anyone else
Futurama ended perfectly
yes but you can very eaily just say its a scifi alt universe
It's less "dwindling hype" and more "revival stopped being controversial after people realized only the first episode would be so meta." There's still plenty of Futurama discussion, it's just not as hostile now.
CULO
It gave us Leela ass, it's good enough for me
Strong glutes, imagine them grinding your wiener
I WISH Leela Futurama would grind my wiener into dust
What's with her name, anyway? "Turanga" is always said first and she and her family are, iirc, the only characters who are referred to this way. Is she Japanese?
It's just okay-tier, nothing too incredible to praise it but also nothing too offensive for anyone, even Cinemaphile, to focus on hating it. Most recent episode was better than the rest but overall, this new season hasn't really risen above the CC era standards, and a lot of people didn't like those seasons back then either.
At best the episodes are mediocre
>Momazon is big company that owns everything
>Already did that joke with Google enslaving half the planet in a matrix like situation
>Leela acts like she's having trouble moving in with Fry
>Despite living decades married to him on Earth where they just traveled and did whatever they wanted
>We're supposed to believe they lived separately from each other during that time
>Fry and Leela were shown to have matured greatly in that time
>Still act like weirdos
It's a pretty bad reboot because it hinges it's premise on being a continuation of the last episode which bites them in the ass.
The last two episodes have actually been fantastic and I won't hear otherwise
>Leela acts like she's having trouble moving in with Fry
It was like, a minor thing which caused no issue at all, the frick are you on about
living decades married to him on Earth where they just traveled and did whatever they wanted
They don't remember that, dumbass
Honestly, I'd rather have the time stop episode be the permanent finale.
It was an actually good finale, both from a narrative perspective and a meta perspective. I really can't see them doing a better finale than Meanwhile. Especially not with the writing they've showcased so far.
The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings is a better finale.
no it isnt
I don't know about finale but it's by far one of the best episodes
Also has one of the best songs in the series in the form of Fry and the Robot Devil's opera-battle.
Dan Castellaneta is a BEAST
YOU SHOULD HAVE CHECKED THE WORDING IN THE FIIINE
PRIIIIIINT
This. I wouldn't consider Devil's Hands to be the best finale (and you know you're in a weird place as a series when you have multiple finales to pick from) since it's not necessarily all that conclusive or anything. It's easily one of the best if not THE best episode with some of the best songs the show ever produced, but Meanwhile is both a good episode AND has an actual sense of finality.
It's between Devil's Hands for being the best episode, and Meanwhile for being the most conclusive. My point really is more that I doubt Hulurama can top EITHER of them.
Billy West is going to die before they do another finale because executives just can't help themselves
>Meanwhile
is fricking BORING!
Bite my shiny metal ass
>Momazon is big company that owns everything
>Already did that joke with Google enslaving half the planet in a matrix like situation
That's from The Simpsons.
>Leela acts like she's having trouble moving in with Fry
Because she will have to live with Bender too, simple.
>Leela forgetting several times and outright ignoring and not caring about being the biological parent of Kif's babies
>The Ivermectin "joke"
>The overwhelming amount of unfunny jokes in the first episode about being cancelled
>Everything about the Bitcoin episode
I truly thought we hit the bottom of the barrel with shit like the "eyePhone and Susan Flynn BOIL" episode but holy frick this season is unwatchable. How does it have such high ratings on critic websites?
first episode was funny, piss off
No it wasn't.
post the elevator scene
F*CK Redditrama
There was hype for this to begin with?
Who the hell in their right mind still gets hyped for reboots or remakes in 2023?
There was no hype.
This. Not the first time Futurama's risen from the ashes. People weren't hyped so much as mildly intrigued. Talk to me when they write a CONCRETE SERIES FINALE.
I wish they didn't try so damn hard with jokes, and just focused on good sci fi stories with a dash of humor.
>watching futurama in 2023
>Fry barely talks
>Leela constantly out of character
>Bender has no purpose besides cheap gags
>plots have no logic and are overly "meta"
>barely any music
>barely any scenes outside planet express
>constantly in the rec room for some reason
>animation quality on the level of a Seth MacFarlene show
Futurama ended when Fox first canned it. Every revival has been a cold husk of what the show once was.
>Fry barely talks
Do you want him to?
It's times like this when I remember Jason Alexander talking about how hard it was for him to do Duckman's voice for 70 episodes because it hurt his throat, and how he couldn't reprise his role in the point-&-click game because of how many lines he had to record in a short time. Thinking about that and applying it to Julie Kavner doing this every year for over three decades is horrifying.
yeah but that money tho
Yeah, I imagine their families definitely won't complain about the Simpsons going on for so long. That several-hundred-K-per-episode salary will allow them and their far descendants to live like fricking kings. They themselves probably won't settle for less either. It's funny how Disenchantment imported basically its entire supporting cast from Futurama with the exception of Sagal, but out of the Simpsons cast, only Castellaneta has ever done a guest role in Groening's other works.
Hey that is funny
Ah I stand corrected, Hank Azaria did actually do one guest voice on Futurama (Zoidberg's uncle).
Tress is in Simpsons and Futurama.
It's weird to encounter the VS in pre Simpsons material. Bart Simpson is actually a recycled voice from the G1 My Little Pony.
(The green and white one)
They all get paid the same? Even though Yeardley does one voice?
…isn’t his normal voice duckmans voice?
Woof, now that Devil's Hands has been brought up, I'm a little scared of what Billy would sound like trying to sing in his Fry voice nowadays.
Fry was a really lovely singer in that.
recast minorities and lose my viewiority.
Hype? Nobody gave a shit
I like Amy but I don't like Kif so this season is doing nothing for me.
I'm glad they committed to Kif and Amy's kids after twenty years. If only Fry and Leela can finally get married and have kids...
