With as bloated as the cast is, you probably wouldn't get that. They may just show up for a cameo or be featured in a short arc and then the story would move on to focus on other characters.
They did tease Barda sneaking around on Apokolips a year in the future when Klarion was time jumping as the school bus. Maybe she and Scott were going to escape next season.
Some of the things in the show contradict what James Gunn wants to do with the universe, so it's probably not going to get renewed. Maybe there will be other animated shows with different iterations of these characters though.
They could always revive this as an Elseworlds, but I doubt Max was ever interested in picking it up further. I don't think Harley Quinn will go past season 4 either.
They already teased that Big Barda would have a redemption arc during Klarion's timejumps, so there would probably be something with Barda and Mary and Kara escaping from Apokalips and joining up with the good guys.

his series was canned long before Gunn. You can tell be the shoestring budget S4 had with entire scenes being slideshows with voice-overs.
