Aurora works really well for this. Oi think it’s because she spends so much time sleeping, it’s nice to see her get some power and make a comeback with magic. Her having magic fairies that could teach her 3 different types of magic would be a good story for her.
Why would any brave knight want a disgusting and smelly witch instead of a ladylike and pure princess? >Princess sings and songbirds join the chorus >Witch cackles and her weird cat smirks in the corner
Disgusting. Any knight in shining armor would OBVIOUSLY see a princess as his true love instead of a stinky witch.
What mythical figure do they choose to poorly adapt?
>Disney's Macbeth told from the perspective of the witches >Disney's Baba Yaga about a misunderstood Russian witch being persecuted by the village people >Disney's Morgan le Fay about a caring older sister looking out for her bumbling soon to be king brother Arthur
Or do they bite the bullet and pay the right people to finally make Wicked?
>Disney's Baba Yaga about a misunderstood Russian witch being persecuted by the village people
Young Witch
Casting spells over there
I say Young Witch
Flying through the air.
I wold prefer it if they go the Little Witch Academia route and not just hand pick a bunch of witches from the movies. But make up new teens characters learning to be witches.
Or maybe make it like a Tiny Toons situation where the villains are teachers in some Disney magic school. And the students are all new characters. Evil queen teaching alchemy, Madam Mimm is the transformation and transfiguration teacher, Maleficient is the headmaster, Jafar teaches enchantments and hypnosis, also a lecturer on magical artifacts.
Also I would make it NOT Halloween themed, because I'm getting sick of all the witch/magic shows being filled with Halloween ghoul puns everywhere. Worked for things like Beetlejuice and Hotel Transylvania, got sick of it in Owl House.
>What if Disney had a range of Disney witches instead of Disney princesses?
They'd still be shitting out unwatchable garbage, bleeding money at an incredible rate, and under threat of being bought out by Apple. Any other questions?
Makes me wonder how snow white might work with a focus on the witch
Maybe she's a step sister instead of a step mother
Snow white is a siren that enslaves animals with her voice to do her dirty work, who often disregards her duties to the kingdom by disappears into the forest to shack up with strange men. Grimhilde trying her best to keep the kingdom together as the king lies sick in his bed, but her attempts to use magic starts taking its toll on both her and the kingdom.
Not sure how to include the apple, that seems pretty important
Anyone watch that Gretel and Hansel movie from a while ago with the girl from It in it?
Think that had a witch trying to teach the young girl in it thing going on.
This reminds me that Cinemaphile has persistently enjoyed Sleeping Beauty AUs where Aurora can do magic.
We've got at least two of them. Three, if you count the one where she's a vampire as her being "magical."
I like the idea that she's got the Gift for magic and Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather teach her spells so she can defend herself in the forest.
I prefer the one where she's still good though.
How does one live with three fairies for 16 years and not learn a goddamn magic anything?
Fairies limited themselves for most of that time to avoid attracting attention.

>t.
this actually sounds like a good idea for a franchise
it's magic, aint gotta splain shit, witches or "mole suckling demon pact " witches?
The Disney = Secret Satanism conspiracy theorists would have a field day is what would happen

Disney's Medea as a sequel to hercules
Jason is the twist villain.
Might be easier to adapt Befana since she is friendlier anyway. Make her a kindly old grandmother type.

What if the Evil Queen trained Snowwhite instead of trying to kill her?
>Evil Queen as a doting step-mother who just happens to be an evil sorceress
Fund it!

So would it just be plain Elsa exactly how she was in frozen?
Just do a spinoff of Sofia The First.
We already got Owl House.
