"She begged for her life, and the life of her child."
she didn't die on-screen so its not confirmed. like Stannis.
my king
It was pretty obvious that he was going to kill her, the movie really wanted to shove in your face how nice she was.
what movie took you by surprise? I like to read the endings of movies i go to just so I know what ending I'm walking in to. The Box for instance was only bad because of the ending, therefore I did not see it.
>If you kill him... he will win.. somehow..
its true death is an end if hes alive you can make every second of his life hell from imprisenment. Prison for all the bad things people wanna say about it always gets even the toughest criminals in the end.
He wins by making the cop give in to his wrath and punish John Doe for his sin of jealousy. Brad Pitt's momentary satisfaction is undermined by an eternity of damnation.
>if you kill a murderer there are the same number of murderers in the world - t. GOD
what if you kill multiple?
That is so unrealistic. He would hear the weows
What if they were sedated with a timer to wake up and start meowing, like that dead guy with the gun at the end of Saw?
Any other kinos with terrible endings? Whole final setup must've been done by someone else who clearly didn't even understand the motivations of the characters.
please tell us the correct fate of Kevin Spacey at the end of se7en
I can't, I've already told it before but you'll just have to find my offscreen and mysteriously vague ramblings in the middle of some other bygone thread in bumfrick nowhere down the ever reliable archives , fixing this terrible movie. Just take me by my word and believe it you know even if it makes no such sense for my character to do such and explain such in such a dead thread you know?
Fix it yourself David.
holy shit you're a goober. Next time you can just say. "I don't like the movie"
haha David you fell for it. Enjoy being the 8th sin of moronic.
kevin spacey is going to get you
In more ways then 1ne?
he will delegate to Jigsaw you'll get a roman numeral death instead
summerset did confirm what was in the box by not saying it wasn't her head
john doe points it out
I will always insist this movie's ending was a complete shockfest that undid the movie's moral messages and the moral conundrum posed by Doe's actions. They thought "shit, people might actually hear this guy out" so then they just made him commit the most heinous act imagineable and act like a mustache-twirling villain despite the cop car scene humanizing him so people won't even think about contemplating on what he said about society and this country and the utter repugnant state of people in it.
Yep, this was my take too. It's such bullshit.
there is no moral conundrum posed by doe's actions you don't get to torture and murder people becuase you think they're lazy/fat/vain/ect
the cop car scene made him appear even nuttier trying to justify the unexcusable and getting all excited that mills was about to discover his decapitated wife's head
superficially i agree with you though people suck
>there is no moral conundrum posed by doe's actions you don't get to torture and murder people becuase you think they're lazy/fat/vain/ect
true and this is a big problem with the movie, for me. the tortures and murders are so cartoonish and edgy to the max that when they try to have their cake and eat it too and bait the audience with sympathizing and considering Doe's words about the failing society they know all too well that it feels like tonal whiplash. if you make the same movie but make the killings way tamer while honing in on the noir aspect, it would be way better. have the ending leave the moral question still standing. people give a lot of flack to the original ending but it sticks more. the ending with the head is the only thing people remember about this movie and it was by design. such a dishonest, soulless move. have the shock ending to bait people to go "OHMYGODSOEDGYSODARK" than have a tame, more mature and contemplative ending that leaves the viewer actually fricking thinking and not going "oh my that was really dark or something".
Se7en, for my money, is one of the few films that truly is overrated and overappreciated. it just doesn't work once you pick it apart.
It's obvious that Somerset was the real killer and John Doe was just a patsy
>sesevenen
dumb fricking title
it doesn't even mean anything
