Honestly, I keep trying slightly on the story but it kind of keeps getting reset to status quo by the threads. Right now it’s a story where GOLD decides to genocide his own race to make himself unique, resulting in Stella’s father Gold Leaf hiding on Earth and meeting Alice. Then Stella is born, then has the accident and has her sister stolen somewhere around five years old. Gold Leaf sacrifices himself to replace his daughter’s heart with his core. Stella Grows up on a military base, moves to Empire city as a teenager, meets Carol at school, fights metal assassins, and eventually fights the prophet then goes to space. Also it’s during future era.

Well, knowing that Rebecca Sugar is a huge One Piece fan, if there were other superpowers they’d probably be a bit elemental but also weird like the devil fruits,
Maybe these humans would be the descendants of Homeworld experimenting on Pink Diamond’s human army to see what she saw in them or perhaps Pink experimented on them herself. Steven would definitely be the strongest though.
Would be more interesting to maybe think Pink Diamon had another kid she abandoned somehow ala spinel to show again how terrible she was and the cause of everyone else's problems.
But I guess that is a one time thing since the gem could only be given up once to Steven.

After the Gem War had essentially ended with the corruption, Yellow would be sated with the knowledge that the cluster would eventually destroy earth and be rid of the last reminder of her failure to protect Pink. Blue, not wanting to destroy what she still considered to be Pink's planet, would make several attempts to plead with Yellow, all to no avail, and while we know what measures she takes to preserve bits of Pink's legacy (e.g.: the Zoomans), Yellow hatches an idea of her own: a possible way to "gem-ify" the primitive, presumably non-sapient inhabitants of earth. She commissions a project that entails the kidnapping of earth natives for experimentation. Being busy with other concerns in the Empire, she deigns the actual process of experimentation and the collection of data to a series of other gems, for which purpose she assigns the peridots and bismuths, as her idea revolves around using metal-based gem implants to hybridize humans, the basis of which deriving from the fact that humans have iron in their blood. The experiments take place over the course of centuries, being put into a state of deactivation upon repeated failures and reactivation once those failures have been reevaluated and the procedures revised. the series of experiments starts sometime in late antiquity and ends in the late renaissance, after all gem-human hybrid attempts have been deemed failures and yellow cans the project for good.
The protagonist in this setting was to be a German Teutonic Knight, taken in the 14th century and utterly robbed of the life he once had. we see him in the present day, bereft of any of his old morals or scruples and essentially living life as a violent hedonist with metal powers, essentially being a sentient, metallic version of John Carpenter's The Thing with metal shapeshifting and armed with a zweihander he used as a doppelsoldner mercenary shortly after his turning.

Also after you mentioned the sword I immediately thought of his power as a horrific mix between Alex Mercer and when Shirou Emiya‘a body starts turning into hundreds of tiny swords.
He's essentially that, yeah, except his transformations and shapeshifting don't make smooth edges like Mercer does. His look more like something out of dead Space, where you can see where bones broke and shattered to make new teeth or molded together to form a blade or claw.
Yeah I could see that and that’s why I mentioned Shirou Emiya. He has this weird thing in some parts where unlimited blade works heals his body by turning parts into swords and it looks really messed up to me. Wish I had a better pic.
Also I feel like I’m imagining his edges “drinking” his blood as he transforms to keep it in his body. Like needles collected the drops from the air.

Really makes you consider Stella and Carol’s first meeting with Stella throwing back Carol after a bullying attempt. Like, Stella actually could’ve killed her. And it also explains why Carol might latch on to a potential strong protector so quickly.

If I had to give her an injury, probably from debris that fell down on her legs. Valentina got bubbled by Steven, Carol sort of got the short end of the stick. I think they would end up sleeping the same bed for a while.

The two I remember from the last thread who I also thought were really fun was a guy named Ashley, Ash for short, who was based on Yellow Steven but with a blue color scheme. He was born with the power to generate electricity and blue fire which he discovered after melting a corrupted gem that attacked him while he was in a cabin in the woods.
The other wasn’t as developed but was based on White Steven. She was never given a name but was a telekinetic gal with white hair and a total spoiled brat. She always wore white clothes and had her hair in a pair of twin tails, and she’d freak out if either got dirty or messed up. She was also not used to losing or not getting her way.

I see him as sort of the lightweight even compared to Blanche/White Psychic. His spirits protect him but he’s barely able to handle just hearing them all the time and is placed against guys like Ash who love a good brawl.
So now we’ve got five supers of varying mental instability

I would say Valentina has more or less succeeded, Steven just doesn’t have a thing for milk just yet. But yes these people would be unstable as hell, I consider Ash to be like pretty unstable violence wise, decent guy, just close to like a classic angry hero who will start things for petty reasons, funnily enough I’m pretty sure Stella’s the one that can function best in society. I don’t know if Blue Esper can beat any of them physically, I think even Blanche has a better shot if he gets a ghost that’s like Slimer to piss her off
Well, maybe the blue guy can do more than just ghost speak. It’s possible he has something similar to observation haki to and could maybe predict movements or slightly read minds.
I mean he basically does have a couple of ghosts fighting for him. It’s pretty tough, I think it would just be a location thing: I did like the idea of him being able to see what mentally ill people could see. Since it is real in terms of like mindscape just not physically there

Honestly whatever works. I just think it’s fun to use her to show the difference between an alpha b***h and spoiled girl. Because one has to assert her authority and be at least a little clever about it while the other just naturally does whatever she wants because she’s used to it.
Alright as a fun contrast, whenever picked up by her force I’m imagining Stella struggling and trying to get free and Carol just going limp like a kitten.
That is a fun contrast. I see her as the type to want to force Stella to be like her, because she simply can’t stand seeing someone so unladylike and her autism is triggered by tomboys. Unlike Carol however she’ll straight up force Stella into dresses and petticoats and hetting rid of her old clothes. Their first meeting involved Stella and Carol forced to play tea party
I could see that. And it’s honestly made worse by the fact that she can really show up at any time and expects people to just drop everything for her abs whatever she wants to do.
Luckily Carol can speak her language and probably packs some girly clothes for Stella to wear in case she shows up (usually sundresses) saying something like “either I choose what you wear or Blanche does.”
I also always think of her as having a slight goth tint to her style and being a monster in combat despite hardly ever being touched or touching others directly
I think Stella is usually scared into dressing Carol’s way, especially after Blanche put her in bloomers and a corset and she had to walk home like that while everyone treated her like a flower. I think I’m addition to the hatred towards getting stained dirty, she would also have a thing about being touched. She’s so used to not having to actually put her hands on anything. I consider a beast with most humans but superhuman powerhouses are a different story. She’s fine with taking out fodder but put her against someone who can slam her through walls and she will struggle.
I think the way we’ve written her, Blanche may genuinely have autism. But besides that she’s a rich neat freak powerhouse who hates it when things aren’t cute or formal and thus conform to her style. She’d probably get along with magical girl Stella.
I could also see her slightly pissing off both Stella and Carol by doing things like consuming an endless stream of sweets while never gaining a pound because psychic energy burns a lot of calories, or immediately ordering some custom uniforms and demanding the two cheer her on next battle after finding out they’re cheerleaders.
I would maybe throw in a rain man reference with her then. I do definitely se where as one of those anime girls who end up constantly eating sweets. So neatly too, almost inhuman about it. Just playing around with Stella and Carol is enough for her. As long as Stella conforms to her rules of course. Otherwise there will be consequences
You know what’s funny? We’ve kind of made a sort of all blonde messed up version of the Powerpuff Girls.
We have a hotheaded tomboy, a playful and somewhat b***hy girl who loves to be in control, and an absolute control freak spoiled brat who flaunts her power.
It also gives a nice contrast where Steven is being manipulated by Valentina for her benefit, meanwhile Stella has two girls trying to control her in part to help her and who genuinely consider her a friend. It just so happens that one likes seeing Stella being pretty and the other is autistically uncomfortable around tomboys due to the potential for dirt or making her less neat.
I’m sure Valentina herself would have a field day with all that psychological issues Stella and her band of friends/enemies/friendenemies. Blanche is definitely less caring than Carol for that matter, part of her reasoning for making Stella dress like a girl comes from a need to defeat her. Once she has Stella a quiet little lady who can’t fight, she controls Stella, and makes her a weak human just like the ones before she met superhumans
Yeah, I could see Blanche being one of those recurring enemies that appear in some shows who also hang out with the main cast for fun activities.
Her main issue is that she doesn’t really know how to handle not being the most powerful, and she gets extremely ticked off whenever things are dirty, loud or in any way not orderly. She just wants to make Stella nice, quiet, and pretty so that the world will make sense again.
It’s her biggest fantasy to be able to shut Stella up. I see her going too far in a Valentina team up eventually after the first few hangouts when she’s at her limit. Using her own psychic power along with the psychic members of Valentina’s group to bury Stella’s personality to one suited to her wants. In exchange Valentina gets to test out if she can truly cause ego death in a superhuman as well as Blanche signing up as a patient
Hmm, maybe though I see her being far less inclined to want to work with Valentina as she doesn’t like being ordered around.
Honestly, shutting Stella up isn’t really a huge fantasy to her in my opinion, she just gets really annoyed by Stella and similar people such as Amythest, or even Peridot. Really anyone loud and causing disorder. Blanche feels like the kind of person to fall down and clutch her ears of someone keeps playing rock music.
Valentina would kinda quickly be able to tell the way to get Blanche is to let her think it’s her who’s in control.
And I agree with the noise issue, I combine it with a winter aesthetic as snow tends to be great at muffling noise. I personally see her willing to have her own little side. She will help Stella one minute against Steven and the superhumans then attack her for getting her dirty
Yeah. The way I see it Blanche is in a weird spot where she’s kinda both an ally and enemy for Stella and Steven. Not necessarily a bad person, but VERY used to getting her way and tantrum prone.
I think Carol would be the one to befriend her. Get her to let down her guard a little and actually see Stella as a friend too. After that, all attempts to girlify Stella are attempts to get along from Blanche’s perspective. Or maybe we could have a hilarious episode of Blanche and Carol trying to be a “tomboys” and failing at every single step.

Yeah most likely. They’d probably get along semi well since Carol follows her rules, and Blanche could give her a chance to have an actual meal. Though the no touching part might bug Carol a bit, and she’ll probably have her hair telekinetically put into twin tails the moment she walks in.
She may have a trouble with Carol sometimes wearing revealing clothing but overall I see them as pretty friendly all things considered. I could see her enforcing a dress code on most women who enter her home. And possibly men, she seems to only tolerate suits in her home
I think over time, Stella may weirdly come to respect some of Blanche’s tastes and her dress code. While Blanche may be powerful, she still considers most of the outside world to be dangerous, scary, noisy, dirty and mean. Her house is her safe space where she can enjoy herself.
Sure she can be a bit overzealous and controlling when enforcing the rules, but ultimately her house is the only place where she actually feels safe and relaxed, and she just doesn’t wanna ruin that feeling.
I see her respecting Blanche’s power if anything and getting closer to feeling sorry for her and respecting that she’s built different. Girl collapses at loud noises and contact and messes, and doesn’t go out of her way to interact with the world, whenever she did, it was just so she would be alone ,not looking for an excuse to break down, she just wound up in this mess like her and the other superhumans did.
Yeah. For someone so powerful, Blanche is very fragile, like a beautiful glass sculpture. She really just wants to be alone and able to enjoy her things, but like all humans she craves company. So she surrounds herself with likeminded ladies and gentlemen so that she can enjoy her peace without any of the usual people issues.
She probably has a secret garden where she’s willing to get dirty but only briefly and when tending to it. Definitely has an ojou ohohohohohoho laugh
Right she’s just usually used to being able to force things and roles into people with that telekinesis of hers. I don’t see her liking any of the males in the Steven counterpart group, old Steven might have made the cut but current Steven is a brute who follows Valentina because of his lust
I don’t know about her getting dirty ever but I do like her having a little garden perfect for her to control. It’s where the world is quiet. Possibly even a greenhouse
Yeah, probably no dirt there. I could see her maybe controlling the greenhouse via telekinesis. Still doing gardening with a focus and intensity but refusing to get any dirt on herself whatsoever.
She probably also has some strawberries growing in the garden as I could maybe see them being her favorite food. Beyond that her very large house is not built the same way as GOLD’s or Valentina’s. While other rich people in the SSau focused on vanity, Blanche’s autism made comfort her first priority.
In a way, her house resembles a massive dollhouse, everything designed to look perfect and act efficiently together.
I do love the idea of her basically living in a dollhouse, aesthetic wise. She’s not as focused like Doctor Turner’s, with everything designed to make you feel like your presence doesn’t belong, it’s just very old fashioned in that sense. It does tend to be very white and almost constantly being repainted to make sure it doesn’t fade.
Yeah, and that’s in part why she’s always dressing people up and having them act a certain way.
People will actually notice that once they’re wearing the proper outfit, they do seem to fit, and then Blanche starts to relax and not worry as much.
This is her world, and a heavily contrasting individual looks far too much like a stain or smudge on it to her.
It’s a big part of her distaste for other superhumans. Imagine having a perfect dollhouse only to find someone has stuck action figures in them, it messes up her sense of what is right in the world along with the fact that many of them can kill her which most humans can’t. Which forced her to deal with both powerlessness and the fact she could die to them.
I think this is also why she kind of likes Stella despite her distaste for the gems and other supers.
It’s like being annoyed at all the action figures in the dollhouse, and then noticing a supergirl figure there too. Sure it’s not a perfect fit, but the clothes are changeable unlike some others, and it is the right size, so maybe you could make this one work.
It’s also why she gets so annoyed whenever Stella resists her. She just wants to make Stella fit to prove she can relax on this new status quo. But nooooo, Stella just HAD to be difficult.
And she does know what’s best for that little supergirl doll anyway. Why wear a grayish monstrosity when you could have a lovely pink sundress? Why punch a monster when you could spend your days reading romance novels set in the past between a prince and a princess? Once you have it fit right, no one will ever be able to tell it was a supergirl and it can leave those nasty days of fistfights behind until it’s just like every one of the dolls in the dollhouse. Conformity is best.
I feel like that attitude of conformity being the best is also something she’s imposed on herself. Maybe she was a bit of an outcast as a little kid. Perhaps her parents sent her to a boarding school before her powers developed and she enjoyed the structure. Really I see her as someone who hates violence and chaos all together… sort of like Kira but not a psychopath. Blanche just lacks a healthy way of dealing with those emotions so she creates a space for herself to enjoy.
And she really does want to help Stella and be her friend, but from her perspective, Stella is ruining her life with all that nasty fighting and hotheadedness. She’s in desperate need if help.
And Blanche probably also hates Steven for ruining Homeworld in her eyes. Seeing it as a paradise that was snatched away before she had a chance to visit.
Maybe there’ll be a future emotional scene with her dealing with the noise of a con while cosplaying as the Sailor Senshi with Stella, Carol, Connie and a few others.
Yeah could work with the Matilda thing. She just always wanted that fantasy of a dollhouse life and when she was strong enough she was able to make it happen until superhumans broke that world too. She basically wants to cure Stella of the things preventing her from being a pretty young lady. I think she would hate Steven a lot too, he’s currently a Homelander light driven by his lust for his mother figure, that has to be so against Blanche’s rules or a proper life. Especially with that british s Greg th of his. She consider’s Stella’s refined at the very least , like a well oiled machine. Steven is more like a Savage beast, looking less refine and more hulking and so breaking of the norms she loves. The con experience sounds fun, and sad at the same time
Indeed. She’s ultimately just a girl who wants to connect with others without leaving her comfort zone. So her arc will have to be about getting better about leaving that comfort to discover new things that she also enjoys. But to coax her out, Stella is gonna have to do some things out of her own comfort zone too. But in the end I think it’ll be a good experience for both super humans and might give Stella a human friend she can truly relate to. Something Steven and her desperately need.
Yep. Carol is an alpha b***h for a reason. Even if she’s fragile on the inside she still has that drive to take control and gain power to feel secure. But for Carol it’s more about seeking positive affirmation than true power. She’s digging for gold not to be rich, but so that people will congratulate her for getting so much gold
I always love for Stella to accept the fact she does have girly interest and maybe even become a girlier tomboy. I see Blanche relapsing a lot though in stressful situations. I don’t see her and Steven becoming close, though it’s mainly because Steven is isolated with his thing with Valentina. He’s on just the inside of it but doesn’t mind since he has his needs fulfilled elsewhere and is becoming isolated from connections to anyone else in general. I would love for Stella and Blanche to fight together if they could. I could see Blanche using TK to throw Stella fist first at someone
Indeed, it would be cool. Honestly I kinda wanna see Stella, armor Carol, and Blanche fighting together. With Stella as a berserker, Carol raining down laser bullet hell from above, and Blanche providing support, rescue, and terrain control

Personally I don’t see Steven ever breaking free, I like the idea of him one day in the farther future knowing the truth about her but being with her anyway. I think it’s about finding what makes you happy even if it breaks you. I do like the idea of Ash and Steven being friends, since Fragments showed Steven does love a fight he just doesn’t enjoy killing. As of now though, Steven is still submissive to Valentina and viewing her as his girlfriend/mother substitute. I like to think Stella gets grossed out as hell once she realizes she is both for Steven

I think she would be the one who ends up contacting the Gems about this Steven guy her mom is focusing on and entering them into the Metal Men scene
Honestly kinda sad. Carol is just trying to finally bring in at least one consequence after everything Valentina’s done, but she just doesn’t care.
She just brushes it off, just like all of Carol’s hopes for any affection.

They’re mainly disgusted at the extent she uses Steven for pleasure and essentially for superhuman dogfighting just so she can enjoy the power. I think the main thing that would creep them out is the extent she can fake emotions. Like going from stoic with them one minute and crying into Steven’s chest in order for him to keep them away from her.
Yeah, it’s just scarily manipulative. And every time she encounters someone new and potentially useful she immediately tries to manipulate them she only becomes hostile if that becomes impossible.
She’s probably gotten a good chunk of the non crystal Earth gems on her side through that manipulation too.
It could have even have happened when Steven wanted to show her around his hometown on a date. She was basically scanning all the Gems around while he went out of his way to win her a giant stuffed bear. She even left her card with some of them like Jasper and Lapis, all while the main Gems were busy in their own lives.
She really is like a Pokémon character going around and catching. Except these “pokemon” are actual people
It’s just how she has fun. She considers Steven her ace monster in a way, Pikachu, Agumon, Dark Magician, that sort of thing. Which is why he gets the more lucrative rewards of well, her. I think she could easily end up taming Jasper once she sees how Steven is willing to submit to Valentina. A perfect sparring for Steven or even a live sample for Dr Turner (male)

The way I see it, though it’s a bit unhealthy, Carol has actually given Stella some outlets for her trauma and desires, and in that way is a much better therapist than Valentina (Universe breaker) Turner.
And it’s not a true split identity since Stella is aware on some level but subconsciously chooses the dream

>lady helps her reclaim her childish innocence and actually be vulnerable for a change. She can be weak, and devoted and just let someone else take care of her for a while. It’s why she distanced from her true self.

Oh totally, in the end I see Stella integrating those to her true self. Valentina essentially does the opposite since Steven unironically works better power wise when he’s mentally broken, she’s constantly making him worse while filling the role of his support. Carol though is inadvertently helping Stella, and sooner or later I see Stella willingly enter those states in her down time
Indeed, it is so. Probably Lady and Knight most commonly since they let her be vulnerable and fearless respectively which have good used in downtime activities
She might even end up trying to a regular day in her life as Lady. I think it would be a fun experiment for her that could go either way. Either she is unable to reconcile the comfort of Lady with her every day life or Lady finds her place in Stella’s routine. Either way I get to see Alice react to Lady Stella
I think Alice would be very mixed about lady. On one hand, she’s hypnotized to be girly, vulnerable, and submissive.
On the other, it’s a good outlet for Stella, Carol absolutely pampers her (when she’s not getting pampered by lady maid Stella) and Alice can finally talk to her daughter honestly about her feelings.
Plus, Alice can trigger at her any time to make Stella do her chores
I think she would like Lady Stella but miss her little brat a lot. Kinda like Stella having a little sister more than anything. She might feel a little guilt though seeing Lady be so innocent and knowing Stella wishes the same. The chores thing would be something she would take advantage of though, or if Stella was in a mood

I always like the idea of a sequel set around 20 years in the future with gem's having integrated more into earth culture and with that a new generation of hybrids.
It would feature different shadowy organizations abusing the new tech along with hybrids causing problems as their powers manifest in different ways from their parent gem.
Imagine a team of teenage Hybrids raised by a showy group that wished to use their powers for world domination or something.
That way you can also have a neat moment where the main cast is struggling with something and in enter an adult Steven who can casually solve the problem before being written out of future conflicts somehow.
Just have him be in space or something. It’s a big universe

I've proposed a half-brother of Steven before still with Rose as the mother but by a different father. I envisioned him being like an AntiSteven with shadow-based powers but MetalPoster's hijacking of Shadows as his own has me apprehensive about posting their details

Their name has changed over time but the one I've settled on is Michael Thorn
He's described as being very tall (6'9") and appearing older than he actually is (physically is 15 but has features of someone in their mid-late 20s)
His father in my mythos was Black Diamond, Homeworld's previous ruler before the DA took over, having taken a human disguise. From his father he inherits shadow and time manipulation abilties, as well as being able to remotely trigger disasters around the universe, like Wonder Of U on an even bigger scale

It’s just a stock OC and always male for shallow reasons that not actually add anything and just because cringey guys can’t stand the idea of a guy getting powers from his mother instead of his father or they want a guy in charge of all the Diamonds
I don’t think so. It reminds me of a character I’m making for a personal project though only cause of shadow manipulation, which is a pretty common “edgy” power. Just because someone seems edgy or evil at first doesn’t mean they’re entirely so.

Sounds pretty cool, but what’s he like personality wise. Sure you can talk about a character’s power all day but the personality is really their core. It’s what makes them truly enjoyable.
He's more inquisitive than Steven, however this inquisitiveness can also lead to him doubting people's motives. He likes to take the blame for other people's actions so their lives aren't burdened or fix things so other's don't have to, at times he prefers being around animals to people

I always thought it would be a cool idea for an arc if the US government commandeered the remnants of kindergartens and reverse engineered the technology to start pumping out manmade gem warriors, they could even be like Zirconia only to really drive the point home, and Steven and the gems have to deal with that.

Damaging the environment for the military has never been a problem, and I'm assuming having even just a few squads of loyal gem soldiers in an army would be pretty effective on the battlefield. I don't think they'd be all that messed up though. I see them as being pretty soulless seeming on the outside. Kinda like that one fan character that got posted in threads awhile back.

Honestly I’m imagining the military maybe draining inhospitable zines like nuclear test sites if life since they won’t be messed anyway and cause it’s faster. Only to end up with a small squad of semi emotionless and very unstable gems. Like the physical gems themselves look like something a necron would wear.

I actually made this thread because I was super tired of the criteria. All the back and forth of people having to be connected or be a half gem, or metal, or cyborg or be personally engineered by Pink herself.
No, what I wanted was freedom for anyone to make any fun character so they could interact. As long as they’re human, and have some kinda power, they’re game in this thread!

Actually I was part of that, but it wasn’t really an attempt to make them all copies. I just wanted to use Steven alts as a jumping off point for character since it worked thematically before evolving. Then once we had a groundwork, we could start making some more original stuff.
People like to start with something familiar, before changing it to become new and beautiful.

Nah. I think Valentina is gonna get gov funding no matter what, and even if she’s not working with the government, the rich elites will still want her and her husband’s abilities working for them.
Best bet is to do something humiliating that she won’t forget. A grand defeat they can remind her of so that they’ll live rent free in her head.

I remember there was once an idea for a species of dragon like creatures native to a volcanic planet who could effortlessly consume gems as they burrowed and ate through their planet’s rock like worms.
Some metal thoriums managed to tame a few and use them to create the caves for underground city mines.
