im tired of seeing magic disguised as "muh quantum mechanics"
ideally one where there is no such thing as a magic faster-than-light travel (like the ISV Venture Star from Avatar)
i don't think "cryosleep" is real either, suspended animation/hibernation is real tho, but it's not enough to travel to another star system
ideally hard-sci fi would be restricted to technology/science we know exists/is actually possible/observed in experiments etc..
so not theoretical stuff like string theory, or entangled particles for instant communication (which is scientifically impossible) no more than 4 dimensions, etc... and of course no aliens

Ah shit I just saw that you don't believe in cryosleep to other star systems so you can't read Project Hail Mary
Isaac Asimov books like Steel Caves could be considered hard scifi, you just have to replace positronic brains by electronics if you want. But the fundamental problems exposed in his books are still valid, and his world building is mostly realistic (except maybe in foundation). Plus he explicitly said that women shouldn't do the same jobs as men, that it was tried but ultimately failed, which means that he understood a thing or two about mankind.
Yeah, apart from the original circumstances which lead to him being stranded on Mars, which are not part of the plot at all, I think the rest is hard sci-fi
I only saw the universe flicker clip and it was as bad as I expected >what does it mean???? >her nerdy black pet has to explain it all and do math for her
kek
the 3 body problem is actually real but instead of crazy astro-physicists talking to tri-solarians it's dmt-hippies talking to machine elves or some shit like that. the machine elves argue the human population has to be reduced before they'll share their knowledge with the cultists.
High fantasy
Face it Chud. Women are one of the main consumers of media and will continue to do so. Just admit it’s not for you and move on.
truly scifi
I want to find the c**t that lied to me online how this was "hard sci-fi" and punch them in the mouth
The book was. And it actually could have been a decent movie if someone like Denis Villeneuve had taken the job of making the adaptation.
Lmao frick off Denis
>Denis
Frick off me?
can anyone recommend any good hard sci-fi

the frick kind of science fiction are you looking for if it can't have anything that isn't real. even hard sci-fi isn't that limited.
Just read a science journal. They're all full of irreproducible fiction.
>I want science fiction
>but must only contain non-fiction elements
The Martian and Andy Weir's other novels are unironically the best thing you are looking for if you haven't read them already.

seveneves
Project Hail Mary.
Even in P:HM the author doesn't believe in cryosleep since it kills most of the crew.
There is no hard sci-fi Cinemaphile outside of The Martian, and even that is a bit soft
You'll have to go to Cinemaphile or your imagination
Yeah, apart from the original circumstances which lead to him being stranded on Mars, which are not part of the plot at all, I think the rest is hard sci-fi
what about pic related? yeah there are moronic parts like "pirates on the Moon" but it surpasses 90% of modern sci-fi in terms of believability
Science fiction that is restricted to modern day tech, have you read 1984?
Goddamn bots stop posting about this trash.
It should be memoryholed as fast as possible.
>israelite helps promote gay propaganda
wow I'm shocked
i skipped most of cancer guy scenes and overall it was 7/10. not bad considering its shitflix
I only saw the universe flicker clip and it was as bad as I expected

More like "what if women literally doomed the fricking world"
Marathoned the first 20 minutes of this.
It's a British murder mystery with themes of SCIENCE
It's a dumbed down, washed up, quippified, womanified version of something much better
Just say woke bud
I'm not a chud, and my point still stands. Stop defending mediocrity.
>British murder mystery with themes of SCIENCE
the only accurate part in this sentence is that it's British
I love the science fiction in this show. For example, you can see a black man who doesn't kill rapes and robs, but is a smart scientist.
Just watched the pilote and debating with myself whether I watch season 1. Yay or nay?
It's shit. Don't watch it. Read the books or watch something actually good like Shogun.
Nah. Shogun looks like trash. Too much violence against men. Especially pointless violence.
Just have a nice day. It's kino unlike this expensive excrement of a show.
>Too much violence against men
wow almost like real history
No need to show it in a gratuitous manner if it isn't relevant to the plot and is only going to be brushed off later. I don't like seeing men in pain.
Woke garbage
>OH, NO, SOMEONE'S DEFINITELY BEHIND THIS!
I hate goyflix so much.

im on the penultimate episode and im hard as balls for both auggie and jin, goddamn
We get it, only ugly woman can be smart and save humanity. No attractive woman has done anything worthwhile in human history
