Transgender ideology is built on self hatred and the religious worship of shallow, sexist stereotypes. There's no reason a man can't fulfill the same roles and adopt the same traditions as a woman, and vice versa. There's no reason to "change" your "gender" in the first place because "genders" ought to be equally able to pursue their passions. The concept of gender identity is inherently sexist and limiting. It's built on bigotry. The man who came up with "gender identity" is a murderer who caused two boys to kill themselves. In reality all we have is biological sex. Your sex doesn't determine your hobbies, your roles, your fashion or your personality. You choose those things. As an individual. Isn't that a better, more free world? One where sex is all that exists and people are free to pursue whatever they want regardless of their sex? "Gender" is a needless restriction and it does not serve as a genuine identity. The logical progression of breaking down the differences leads to tomboys and femboys. It leads to people who don't let their biological sex influence their hobbies or fashion. The transgender cult is all about building up those limitations and enforcing them so strictly that any little boy who so much as glances at a Barbie doll gets put on hormone blockers so that he can be railroaded into becoming "a girl" because "only girls like dolls". We used to have a culture that said "if you're a boy you ought to like sports" and now we have a culture that says "if you like sports you ought to become a boy". We skipped right over the healthy, rational middleground that says there's no reason a girl can't play kickball with her friends without mutilating herself and taking testosterone.
It also feels like a semantic stripping of original meanings of words ("woman" in this case), and pulling those words into the realm of nebulous and fuzzy, fluid theory… where the meanings of these terms can just be whatever the individual wants.
The reason it feels like no one in the far left can define "woman" is because it literally has no deeper definition to them than as a profile picture on social media or an article of clothing, or what color socks they wear. To try and define "woman" in their eyes--to any concrete or objective depth--sounds just as silly to them as "please tell me what kind of objective, biologically-cemented person you are for wearing argyle socks" or "what does it mean, biologically or psychologically to be a person with a cheeseburger as a profile picture?" It goes a touch beyond this in that they are also paranoid that they are not up-to-date on the latest press release of some new obscure "oppressed" subset of the trans community that found a small and unseemly nitpick in whatever the most recent definition of "woman" is and are ready to burn everyone at the stake of bigotry for oppressing them.
But you point out something very interesting and contradictory about it, in that, "woman" is so NOT important to them (having no concrete definition beyond "'woman' is 'a mood'"), and also SO important to them that it justifies such extreme reprogramming of children. This is exactly the kind of thing that can occur when a concept is held purposely in theory, without the ability to take some objective semblance and be forced to fight for its survival in the open air of practice. The scene of him lambasting the pannel came across as self serving to me. If I had to describe to someone who's thinking of watching it, I'd say it's interesting and worth it but still a bit cringe/artificial in that sort of kitschy American way.

I did watch it and I'll say again it was just a long "gotcha" daily show segment. The logical progression of breaking down the differences leads to tomboys and femboys. It leads to people who don't let their biological sex influence their hobbies or fashion. The transgender cult is all about building up those limitations and enforcing them so strictly that any little boy who so much as glances at a Barbie doll gets put on hormone blockers so that he can be railroaded into becoming "a girl" because "only girls like dolls". We used to have a culture that said "if you're a boy you ought to like sports" and now we have a culture that says "if you like sports you ought to become a boy". We skipped right over the healthy, rational middleground that says there's no reason a girl can't play kickball with her friends without mutilating herself and taking testosterone.

To try and define "woman" in their eyes--to any concrete or objective depth--sounds just as silly to them as "please tell me what kind of objective, biologically-cemented person you are for wearing argyle socks" or "what does it mean, biologically or psychologically to be a person with a cheeseburger as a profile picture?" It goes a touch beyond this in that they are also paranoid that they are not up-to-date on the latest press release of some new obscure "oppressed" subset of the trans community that found a small and unseemly nitpick in whatever the most recent definition of "woman" is and are ready to burn everyone at the stake of bigotry for oppressing them.
But you point out something very interesting and contradictory about it, in that, "woman" is so NOT important to them (having no concrete definition beyond "'woman' is 'a mood'"), and also SO important to them that it justifies such extreme reprogramming of children. This is exactly the kind of thing that can occur when a concept is held purposely in theory, without the ability to take some objective semblance and be forced to fight for its survival in the open air of practice. Theory can remain muddled and cloudy in our minds, and can switch forms and definitions out of the corner of our eye, and be all at once and be nothing, depending on what the person holding that cloudy theory wishes for it in that moment.
