Mostly formulaic, filled with "handsome" asiatics, fashion and whatnot. They censor weapons at the most random scenes, you might see a stabbing scene and suddenly they will censor some scissors out of nowhere. Also, tons of >APUTIIIIIII! >Aigooo >Oppa
Like it. They can make comfy TV out of the gayest themes.
There has to be a suicide or a funeral in each show. Period, non-negotiable.
Main actresses can never show too much skin. You can have short close up of their breasts or asses but they have to be fully covered.
For some reason they cant do "happy ever after" stories the same way as others. When a couple of protag finally hooks up, 99% it's the second to last episode, and then after they resolve the whole storyline there's some other random reason why they cant be together right then, and then the epilogue is a year later when they meet again.
Sometimes they have no fricking clue about their moral compass. Black is a good example. Protag throws off kids from buildings in front of the female protag who is suicidal, save another kid from a murderer only to arrange for the kid to be killed by a pedo the same day, and somehow we're supposed to somewhat like him.
Hotel del Luna is good (and IU is just insanely hot, every new scenes is a different outfit like in picrel), but Mr Sunshine is better.
Boring, soulless bug shit like most modern media that comes from Asia
