There was supposed to be a helluva boss episode set to release back in last year however it ran into legal trouble reportedly due to the episode using the copyrighted song die young from ke$ha with evidence of it had vivziepop fan made music video of the same song getting privatized at the same time with the legal trouble happen

Not legally. A24 studio now owns Hazbin Hotel- that’s the one with the gay spider. Only the pilot and some teasers of that show have been released so far. Helluva Boss is an indie project that goes straight to youtube. It’s the one with the red imps with the horns and the wolfy dog girl. It’s in the middle of its second season. They take place in the same universe, but they’re probably never going to crossover now because of the legal rigamarole with them being owned by different entities.
Why not just remove the song and reanimate the scene to an original song if it was meant to be danced to
It would be a pain in the ass if the latter had to be done but that’s better than scrapping the entire episode

Who reported that? Afaik that was just a rumor. It’s a successful rumor, because it’s a believable theory with some slightly evidential backing, but it’s not proven. I’ve seen other theories that they had a Hazbin Hotel character cameo in the episode that make about as much sense and seem only slightly less likely.
