One thing I never understood was when they found out tusk wad funnelling donations through lanagin's casino. Why did Frank send Doug there? He couldn't find out any information hanging out in the public sports betting area and their cameras picked up on him being there right away.
Mainly for the insight into bohemian grove sheninigans and Mad's brother, not-putin, was fun to watch. Unfortunately the wife's scenes get longer and longer.
They should’ve cut out Claire entirely and focused the entire show on Frank. And let Kevin Spacey actually kill people and sexually assault secret service.
I don't understand why she was such a c**t. I know that she had issues with her mother but by all accounts things were great between her and her father, before her died and she grew up wealthy and privileged. She started sabotaging frank in the first season and in general seemed to have a putrid, toxic soul, masked by her beauty and class. I mean Frank could be an absolutely ruthless prick and would do just about anything to achieve his goals but he came from nothing and still had a shred of humanity about him and wouldn't frick people over without a good reason.
1st season is the best obviously. Spacey carries the rest of the seasons he's in. Final season is abysmal. Claire didn't really have the charisma to carry the show afterwards.

I've stopped watching 7 shows at S3E3 and this is one of them. I've seen the opening scene of S5 though and it's extremely kino.
