John Mulaneys first special was good. Louis CK Hilarious. Doug Stanhope Before Turning the Gun on Himself and Beer Hall Pustch. Oddly, old Marc Maron was funny when he was still a nobody. Tickets still Available and This Has to be Funny were very good. Anything in the last 10 years was terrible.

Standup comedy is a dying form of entertainment. It will soon be a relic that only senior citizens go out to see to relive their youth, the same way old people go out to see the fairwell tour of some geriatric song and dance troupe from the 50s.
The only up and coming comedian who gets anywhere close to comedians like Chappelle, Burr and Gervais is Shane Gillis. And even he seems to struggle with new material now that he has become wealthy and complacent, so comedy is fricked for the next 20+ years
