What is the least worst Marvel film/production?

I haven't watched more than a minute of any modern Marvel film (but I do like older Spiderman). I can't believe how many normies I know will vehemently defend capeshit, specifically Marvel. It makes me wonder if I'm missing something with these movies. Is there any Marvelshit worth checking out unironically?

Of the MCU films the best one is Iron Man 3. Probably the last time it felt like the directors voice could be heard through the studio meddling.

Guardians of the Galaxy is like a sequel to the fifth element. Kind of.

      It's the best one.

Thanks tbh might actually check some of these out

I am a shut in recluse who, at least used to be, bad at social skills. The divorcee neighbor next door used to love Marvel and read the comics before the MCU was even a thing. Inexplicably, he loved the MCU and would always try to make smalltalk with me over it. Despite hating Capeshit for the most part (Raimi's Spiderman being the sole exception) and hating what Marvel and it's influence on cinema has done to the already shitty movie industry, I endeavored to watch every single Marvel movie just to have something to talk to him about. Some of them were downright painful, wheras some I enjoyed more than others. I quite liked Doctor Strange and the first Ant-Man for some reason. I didn't particularly enjoy many of the others. Guardians of the Galaxy didn't suck, it was entertaining. The Captain Americas kind of blend in with eachother. It worked, and I gained much XP in the social skill tree by talking to my lonely boomer neighbor and his son.

Yeah that's basically why I want to start watching them. It's such a huge part of the pop culture conversation that I feel like a contrarian avoiding them, and want to see at least what they're about.

Should swap Hulk out with Ant Man & the Wasp.
Hulk ‘03 has a ton of style compared to the later films where they all end up blurring together. Plus you get JCon

I liked the second spiderman movie and the two Guardians of the galaxy movies...
I guess Iron man was good too? I feel like the rest of the marvel movies ruined it for me; but if you are unfamiliar with them it might be worth a watch

I also liked the first Avengers that had Thanos i cant be bothered remembering the name. It had a bunch of characters I had no idea who they were but it was still entertaining enough

Why did the MCU become so fricking popular?

      Anonymous

Because it was designed to become a huge overarching movie franchise where the "hype" was built up from movie to movie to then a big crossover movie, which itself became a franchise that built up MORE hype for an even bigger and more "epic" crossover.
It already had an existing demographic from comic fans and they made it appeal to a broader audience; which wasn't hard since broader audiences had already experience some commonality with comic book movies (Reimi's spiderman, xmen, etc.) And now the MCU lives on tv-series or on movies with a much smaller-budget movies, it's too culturally integrated on pop-media for it to not be somewhat profitable to just still release them.

Or maybe they sacrificed goats for it. I don't fricking know.
If they really wanted to Amazon could easily do something like this with Tolkien's stories (I think? i'm not very familiar with them)

I agree “Logan” is a great movie (“Days Of Future Past I think is great too) but it’s (and “DOFP”) are a part of the Fox X-Men universe, not the MCU.

Daredevil and it's not even close.
In a world of capeshit, one show stands out above the rest and actually reaches KINO levels of quality.
    Daredevil is not only the best marvel production;
Daredevil is not only one of the best shows netflix has ever made
Daredevil is one of the best tv shows of all time
If you haven't seen it. Watch it right now.
If you have. It's time for a rewatch.

One thing I am amazed that Daredevil did was make a Catholic tv show that didn’t negatively depict religion. Him being Catholic was part of the character and they wove elements of that in without making it a critique of religion or spirituality like most Hollywood shit. My personal fav season was 3 because I thought they did a great job with Bullseye, and did the whole “mirror image of the good guy, villain” while still feeling fresh.

Aparently theyre reviving it next year and making the "daredevil born again" arc, which was apparently the best arc in the comics (i wouldnt know cause I havent read any comics except the sly cooper comic for sly2) the same actor(s?) Are in it and hopefully it wont shit the bed, but even if it does. S1-3 on netflix are basically perfect. I can understand why some people have problems with the electra arc in s2, but punisher stuff was enough to keep that season very high in quality on its own right

Season 3 pulled quite a few elements from the Born Again storyline, so they couldn't really do it without it feeling like retreaded ground.
I mainly view the Born Again subtitle as a tounge in cheek in-joke about it being a revival of a dead show, like how Spider-Man Homecoming was for Spidey being back under the Marvel fold.

Infinity War and Winter Soldier are kino. Civil War was pretty good too. The Spiderman movies are all worth watching, IMO. The rest are bad or uninteresting capeshit

The 50s-90s sitcom parts of Wandavision were really nice, a lot of care went into creating them. The only downside is it intercuts with generic tv-level capeship too often.

if you've seen one you've seen em all, marvlel is the most formulaic, cookie cutter, corporate approved, bullshit. it is targeted at a global population, so it's dumbed down for poos, chinks, and monkes. gays and libtards love it because it doesn't challenge any of their world views and promotes globohomo.

They are entertaining to huge audiences and young people will rightly remember them fondly as the world descends into ecological collapse. I love how your image is full of butthurt from buttholes who can't make decent movies anymore and need to spend their time b***hing about something fresh. TL;DR OK boomer.

GOTG 2 or Thor 3, they leaned into being funny. Imagine that, a COMIC book movie being FUNNY. Stark snark ruined the MCU's humor.

All you need in their real order is Ironman, Guardians of the Galaxy 1, Captain America Civil War, and Infinity War.
