inb4 Baby Driver
Guardians of the Galaxy
scott pilgrim vs the world
another vote for this one although Baby Driver is a strong contender
Baby Driver.
agreed
i watched that movie with a few friends. I don't like not finishing movies even if they are absolute shit. we ended up skipping to the end. edgar wright should be embarrassed. to anyone mentioning guardians of the galaxy you're fricking crazy. it's one of the few capeshit franchises since Riami's that have any soul.
Lord of the Rings
my biopic
Boondock Saints
It’s pretty cringe nowadays but was unironically cool back then.
In German it was called „The Bloody Path of God“ and that name enhanced it.
The Martian
Deadpool
Scott Pilgrim
Guardians of the Galaxy
Your favorite movie.
Kingsman
The dark knight rises
>Ah.. you think darkightrises is your ally..
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Black Panther
or some other comic garbage
Ready Player One
ready player one
Frog poster
The entirety of Marvel's catalogue minus Raimi and Blade. All Star Wars movies except the prequels and Empire.
>All Star Wars movies except the prequels
Reddit loves the prequels, though.
>I watch Star Wars but only the prequels even though they existed solely to add context to the original trilogy
Whatever your favorite movie is.
What makes a movie reddit? What makes Baby Driver a reddit movie? (haven't watched it)
I-It just is ok?!! And when I say it’s reddit, it’s reddit… OK??!!??
>What makes a movie reddit?
combination of things
>constant references to pop culture
>characters who do moronic things that don't make sense but the movie wants you to think are cool as frick
>dialogue clearly written by someone trying to sound smart and failing
>unfunny quips every 2 minutes
Unironically lurk moar. Reddit is a concept that have been built by years of Cinemaphile hivemindery and is only loosely connected to the actual website. Putting it into words is difficult.
why don't you put these nuts in your face then !
>Putting it into words is difficult
it's just "millennial writing", it's very easy to put into words
nta
Yes, I too will continue lurking more to learn the ways of the reddit without actually going to the reddit.
This is true, it is an abstract principle that you can only begin to grasp by immersing yourself in it, it defies all categorization
>what makes a movie reddit?
Le quirky humor and inability to deal with/acknowledge controversial/hostile/competitive/manly subjects
Le quirky humor is a response to the later, as when you strip all hard objective truth from things, all humor you have left is le quirky humor
Something like this
Start watching from the 4th minute, and hear that curly hair Black person speak, this is reddit.
That's just bad acting
The Big Lebowski, even though I love it.
The Martian
Chappie
Unironically the Breakfast Club and Fight Club. They're decent movies but pseudointellects latched onto them because the movies make you feel smart
Okay how does the breakfast club make you feel smart? How does that make any fricking sense? I don't even like the movie.
Everything Everywhere All At Once. The rest of these are fine and anybody can enjoy them.
I feel like I lived my entire life just so that I could see Everything Everywhere All At Once. This is easily the best movie I have ever seen in my entire life. This is the only movie I have ever seen that made me cry. Most recommended film I can ever recommend to someone.
some of you guys are mixing up "movies reddit likes" and "reddit movies"
for example Big Lebowski is one of the most quotable movies ever and reddit likes it but it doesn't have the reddit characteristics
Because it was pre-reddit?
>Captcha
GAY0Y
no, because it doesn't have the smugness, affectation, terrible one-liners etc.
That's helpful, a well deserved (You)
Synecdoche
man I hated this movie. Basically the entire thing boils down to Bobcat Goldthwait telling you he hates pop culture and wants to frick jailbait. And I'm not judging but I expected a movie
Adversely, what is the most Cinemaphile movie of all time?
star wars and capeshit. The whole "4chin is full of degenerates who watch e-girl porn and A serbian Film" thing is about 10 years out of date
Unironically Fight Club, Scott Pilgrim. For Cinemaphile specifically it's TDKR.
Somewhere between cuties and silence of the lambs.
Jackass the movie
Deadpool
Bad Boy Bubby
>Bad Boy Bubby
Kino friend
God, you've got great breasts. Great big whoppers, if you can say
The K_.ller
no thats r/Cinemaphile
Cannibal Holocaust
happiness
Triumph of the Will
Taxi Driver
Deadpool
Deadpool
I can't stand this homosexual and his shitty fricking movies. Such an obnoxious character. I didn't laugh once in either one.
NGE or Haruhi
star wars and capeshit.
the whole "reddit is lebowski and A24" meme is about 10 years out of date.
A24 is extremely reddit though. Sounds like you need to go back.
it was reddit a while back. now star wars and capeshit are reddit.
>Sounds like you need to go back.
I go wherever I like on the internet. You know why? cos I got brass balls. Big, burley brass fricking balls. No wienersucker on 4chin is going to tell me where i can and cannot go...... and anyways, all post2015 anons started on reddit and still post and lurk there.
Nah you're forever a homosexual
all the cool guys left around 2015/16 leaving just the gays behind
eeaao
scott pilgrim
big lebowski
napoleon dynamite
anything that can be characterised as "nerd culture". super hero movies, anime, vidya adaptations, sci-fi, that kind fo thing
Star wars
Every single one
Everywhere everyonce at once
if Avengers Endgame is too obvious, I think pic related.
redditors think over-quoting 'so le bad its le good' movies makes them genius irony masters
The oscar baits like Everything Everywhere All At once aren't that popular really, outside of cultural circlejerks. Reddit movies and shows are pretty much the same ones that Cinemaphile discusses; old classics like LOTR, capeshit and onions wars
But the answer is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
the everything at once movie
I hate it with a passion and I'll never watch that trash
It's a great movie with a stupid dildo scene. You wouldn't know though because you didn't watch it.
I agree with all of these
>Baby Driver
>Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
>Everything Everywhere All at Once
>The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
monty python
A cabin in the woods
Free Guy
The spiderverse movies
Druk
Free guy
Guns akimbo
Ready player one
Bullet train
The Martian and it's not even close
Everything everywhere all at once
KINGSMEN
Do you mean Kingsman? Yeah that was extremely reddit although surprisingly heterosexual
how do you gays even know what reddit likes
Never been there
everything by nolan, but especially tenet
>reddit
>reddit
>reddit
HOLY SHIT SHUT THE FRICK UP FOR ONCE
>Reddit
cope sneed and dilate
>nobody has posted the real answer to this question yet
