She joined the show and then didn't want to be known for a star trek characyer so left, then couldn't find any work and begged to get moronic retcons to star in a few more episodes?
Seems pretty ungrateful.

Actresses innit.

main walking dead guy 20 years ago in teachers
the two examples i can pull are male
the only difference is they didnt let her back into the fold. glass ceiling and all that i guess sexism is real after all? frick,
and good riddance
it gave us Worf and Klingon basedness instead of proto-Bossgurl bullshit
great trade
What is that pic from?
Based off what they are wearing and it looking like Katee Sackhoff, I am going to guess the Battlestar Galactica remake.
There once was a show called Law and Order: SVU, with a character called Stabler that was just Police Brutality over and over again, and Christopher Meloni thought he could do better than that...
She was bored because they never gave her anything to do, too early for her to bail before the show found its feet though
She made the right choice; there was no indication it was ever going to find its feet and honestly I'm not sure it ever would with her there instead of Worf.
Wouldn't have hurt her to stay on for another season, it was a well-paying job I'm sure
She admits she basically did it out of boredom which I never understood
Imagine being on one of the greatest shows ever created out of boredom. Even when it wasnt popular it was still a sequal to the original. I would be honored.
Fricking nepo babies.
No she quit out of boredom, because they never did anything with her character. She's pretty much the only one on the show who got Uhura'd. She was very enthusiastic about joining the show at the beginning.
Ahh. To be fair she wasn't a very interesting character. I don't remember her being particularly bad at acting though.
she got to seduce data
>I don't remember her being particularly bad at acting though.
I thought that one time when she tried to act like she was crying was pretty bad.
>if only you weren’t a captain…
she quit out of embarassment at having to do the 'say no to drugs' campaign ad in the show and talk about getting gang raped all the time (writers fettish?)
>gang raped
kek I forgot about that. Trekkies are embarassing
>THE RAPE GANGS
Her backstory was fricking hilarious. The Federation rescued her from a hentai nightmare 10 years before it became popular.
>Ree I'm bored with fame and a well paying job in one of the most famous franchizes ever
Women are fuking moronic.
?t=1896
First season was barebones and low budget, nobody was having a good time, according to Shatner's documentary about TNG, Chaos on the Bridge. She talks about how she had to steal food from the set of Cheers. She gambled that it wasn't gonna get better and she lost.
No.
TNG got good BECAUSE she left. There were too many characters in the show. 9 regular characters is too much. Worf took her place. When she left we finally had time to focus on other characters.
The show even got better again when Wesley left. They now have even more time to focus on the core cast. 7 regular characters is the magic number and feels just right.
I thought Wesley episodes were ok
They weren't and he ruined my fricking name so shut up.
shut up wesley
I had a friend named Wesley in hs with a bit of a curved spine and probably the only guy who got my Cinemaphile jokes. Is that you wesley?
I'm not hunchbacked and when I was in highschool Cinemaphile jokes were still about mudkips and all your base are belong to us so probably not.
I think boxxy was just coming around right when I was in 9th grade maybe a little bit earlier.
She's all grown up now, and I hear she's been doing some voice acting for TV.
my queen
the moronic version of ShoeonHead
Shoe (June) copied Boxxy, not the other way around.
>voice acting
Anything good?
My older brother once took me to a party with a bunch of like 20 year olds and military guys when i was 13 and they were all dicking around on omegle or whatever and some guy recommended going to Cinemaphile saying "it's a really messed up site but it's actually really funny" and all I could think was God damn they're gonna open up /b/ and see a bunch of cp. Luckily the girls using the laptop kind of just ignored him.
c**t should keep her politics to herself.
lol you trumpkins are as hypersensitive as your orange daddy. Better prepare your anus three of his lawyers and his former chief of staff are making deals with prosecutors ;^)
Sounds like you'll gladly suck the dick of anyone who reinforces your TDS.
>TDS
Projection? All I hear about Trump on a daily basis anymore is how fricked he is. And I'm supposed to be upset? Where's all that winning you were promised?
>surely this time they'll get him....please...
Three of his lawyers and his chief of staff in the last week anon. Let's see who else has flipped by tomorrow lol.
They've been going after his henchmen for ages.
And now he has four felony indictment against himself personally and the people I just mentioned took plea deals contingent on their testimony against him.
And how is he doing in the polls?
Terribly? Independents will still take Biden over him any day of the week. He's not going to be president again no matter how much support he gets in the Republican primaries. Remember the midterms? And how has the GOP been doing with their razor thin majority in the house lol?
>Remember the midterms?
Election fraud has nothing to do with Star Trek. Please take this convo somewhere else.
Go back
Oof, she certainly hit the wall.
There are two good Wesley episodes: the one where the Enterprise crew gets brainwashed by video games, and the one where his Academy classmate dies in a training accident
pretty much ALL his eps took away important story telling from the other characters and made them look moronic
the ONLY fricking ep where he was actual indispensable were these
and the mock battle one
where he took antimatter from his science experiment on Riker's abandoned ship
Shut up Wesley.
Filming a star trek show during peak trek was fricking grueling (like 16 hour days) and season 1 TNG was apparently a goddamned nightmare on top of that, i dont blame her for wanting to leave if she thought she could do better.
>She admits she basically did it out of boredom
robo-wiener was not as good as advertised
Data had a longer battery life than the sex toys of the day.
9 out of 10 producers enjoy gang rape.
Did she grew up in india?
space india

>Female has a role in one of the most famous franchises ever
>Female is well paid and cared for
>Female is bored and destroys everything
>Female never admits that she did something extremely stupid and self serving
It's almost like woman are moronic and this happens all the fricking time.
>She made the right choice
clearly she didn't. when you are an actor you dont turn down work even if you think its crap.
Word got his shit pushed in by every alien that attacked the bridge/away party without fail.
I can’t help but think that if Yar had still been in that role we would have seen a lot of proto-girlboss beatdowns.
Worf was a house homie, every time some other klingons showed up he was basically made to look like a b***h.
Watch DS9.
I gotta finish tng still but thats probably next on my list
Oh so you had to wait for years for a spin off that wasn’t guaranteed to have multiple seasons that a supporting character goes on to said spin off in the middle of it’s run to be a supporting character on that series and the writers decide to throw him a bone and not make the character a pussy ass b***h anymore? Yeah there you go Worf fans.
calm down
No you guys will simp for anything. Just admit they made Worf a little b***h which as the tough Klingon guy that makes it even worse. Don’t tell the other anon to watch DS9 just admit that.
Admit my ass, you weird little goblin. Worf got to frick Jadzia.
Yes.
>Klingons kill his girl
>throws his badge down (it misses the futon and falls on the floor)
>beams aboard and kills their captain on his own bridge
yeah he was a b***h, that's what he was
Worse. Worf had to job to establish the threat as a threat, Tasha being a tiny woman can't do that so they'd give the role to Data or Riker and Tasha would stand around doing nothing.
>give security guard to woman
>she cant preform the duties because of physical limitations
>push them off to other people while she sits the bored
This show really was about the future huh
No, the present
Wonder if the female head of security on 'The Oreville' having alien superstrength was Seth MacFarlane's way of parodying TNG and Yar.
Sound very likely. Her design is also basically a vulcanised klingon.
>we would have seen a lot of proto-girlboss beatdowns
the show simply wouldn't have worked with her getting beat down constantly, like Worf
it was really a godsend the b***h left
she was pretty great as a conniving fem-Rommie though
>her getting beat down constantly
that would work for my penis though, if you know what I mean
>with her getting beat down constantly, like Worf
Hot. Could've got some ryonakino.
This is a fricking bullshit meme, Worf wins most of the fights he has in TNG
Yeah, he sure taught Sito Jaxa a lesson.
He loses a few fights against superpowered aliens and a few against Klingons. Oh and a few where he “loses” for the sake of another character. He wins most of his fights. Go and count them. This is a lame Reddit tier meme
BRB, I gotta watch 284 Star Trek episodes and all of the TNG movies before you move the goalpost.
Its more than a few. The writers leaned too much on beating up Worf as a way to show that the antagonist was strong and dangerous.
I like Worf; but I think DS9 used him much better than TNG did. On TNG Worf spends way too much time voicing legitimate security concerns but getting overruled by Picard or Riker to show how peaceful and civilized the Federation is or getting his ass kicked to show how tough the alien of the week is.
>The writers leaned too much on beating up Worf as a way to show that the antagonist was strong and dangerous.
There's even a trope named after it - the Worf Effect.
>le trope
They’ve got a trope for any little thing and most of them are horseshit generated only for clicks
Back to the downvote shithole you came from
Goalpost moving homosexual moves goalpost right on schedule.
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheWorfEffect
Friendly reminder that Worf once lost a battle with an inanimate object.
He's not saying he didn't believe you. He's saying that it's stupid and meaningless.
I say it is a valid trope used that applies to a lot of media, and that he is an argumentative butthole.
>someone getting down by an object is losing a fight
What a dumb homosexual. I absolutely despise low IQ nerds and their attempt at memes
>tvtropes
Troglodyte
>I can’t help but think that if Yar had still been in that role we would have seen a lot of proto-girlboss beatdowns.
...but we also could have gotten plenty of fix-it fanfic where Yar gets fricked by every alien of the week as well.
the rape-gang planet was pretty moronic
Basically. She didn't think TNG was going to go anywhere (to be fair she not alone) and so she jumped. TNG becomes a huge hit whereas she goes on to do nothing - pretty sure she did nude for Playboy or something. She got a few pity episodes that the show could also use as a gimmick for mini-hype. Bit of trivia, she is the granddaughter of Bing Crosby.
ya they killed her off and even had a memorial ceremony at the end of the episode instead of having Q show up to bring her back to life or something. The producers were angry at her. Gates Mcfadden was being a c**t too and they sent her off the star fleet headquarters for one season.
It was just the one producer who had a problem with McFadden and he was replaced after season two
i didnt hate crusher. i mean to say i didnt hate beverly crusher. but i liked the old lady doctor too. she had that kind of excellent crispness to her. like eating an apple. i would have liked to have seen more of her interacting with data too.
holeo frick it did not click that the orville doctor was siskos fancy piece until right now thinking about all the different space doctors.
Penny Johnson (who played Kassidy on DS9 and Dr. Finn on The Orville) is living proof that black don't crack.
She and Avery both look the same as they did 30 years ago
Any anyone here should catch her on The Larry Sanders Show as Larry's secretary. She gets a lot of screen time on that show
tipping my cap to a fellow Pulaski enjoyer
I like Pulaski's character more, and I think Muldaur's a better actress, but I want to go balls deep in Beverly
I can't choose
Pulaski brought balance to the show. Season one it really seemed like they wanted to start having lots of daytime soap opera crap about Picard and the Crushers, perhaps even finding a way to make Wesley into Picard's bastard son with some technobabble explanation of why none of the medical systems noticed before. By the time season three came around, the series has firmly gone in the direction of scifi stories with some relationship drama but avoided the really dumb shit that shows like 'Stargate Universe' fell for years later. I would liked for Muldaur to have been able to continue in her role but even having her there just for a year set things on a better course.
I as soon as the fixed the oxygen recyclers on that ship, I could tell that the ship had more direction than the show.
Pulaski's problem is she's a McCoy clone and they tried to re-create the Spock and Bones frenemy dynamic with her and Data, but instead of the back and forth verbal sparring those two had it just felt like a mean old lady bullying an autistic boy
she came off as really smug to me which bones never did
that's because Bones usually got btfo by Spock in their arguments despite usually being the one who started it with him, making his prodding seem less mean spirited because it just rolled right off Spock's back. Data is very naive compared to Spock's and just kind of takes the verbal abuse with no comeback most of the time.
Yes but Data is an object not a person.
t. Commander Maddox
she was smug to everybody though not just data
Except to Riker’s dad
Do you think she ever passed him in the passageway or argued with him about something related and was like “bro I fricked your dad, call me ‘mommy’” to establish dominance?
I recently watched TOS for the first time and Bones seemed a lot meaner to me. There were times he dug the knife in even unprovoked by Spock.
That even carries over into the movies. Kirk asks what would happen if Genesis is used on a populated planet and Bones spurgs out over Spock saying it would essentially reformat the planet because Spock didn't add in a bunch of moralistic hysterics to the answer.
yeah I still liked him a lot but he was a much bigger butthole than I was expecting him to be, not having seen it before.
It's been a while, but I believe they edited out McCoy's more civil moments in the conversation because they were unnecessary and tedious.
The crux of the scene is the same; McCoy is aghast at the awesome power of this stand-in for the atom bomb and is unnerved by Spock's nonchalant attitude.
The difference is that Bones actively disliked Spock's way of thinking and doing things. Pulaski simply refused to accept Data as a person but she didn't have a problem with him otherwise. She even seemed to enjoy his company in an academic way.
They were probably saving that story line for a later season of how she accepts Data as a person and part of the crew, not a thing. Too bad they never got around to it.
No, they were on strike.
A lot of the arcs for S2 were thrown out the window (including the Borg tying into the parasites) because they started so late.
>simply refused to accept Data as a person
He is not a person.
thanks i hadnt considered the parallels and now feel extremely moronic
Maurice Hurley was sexually harassing Gates and fired her when she didn't give in. Hurley left as showrunner after S2 and Rick Berman immediately brought her back.
It was an open secret among the fans and production staff when it happened.
So she was a trustie?
She was in Red Shoe Diaries where she fricks Robert Knepper who also played the guy that Troi had an arranged marriage with in TNG
nearly everyone involved thought TNG was going to crash and burn the first season and never get a 2nd season.
she did movies
Yeah, straight to video movies
She was in Miracle Mile
>Mutant Species (1995)
Don't know about Playboy but she was in an episode of Red Shoe Diaries which is basically the same. Man, there should be a Cinemaphile thread on HBO schlock like RSD and Dream On. So many great breasts..
Yes, I had that issue of Playboy. It wasn't all that great but keep in mind I'm comparing her to other Playboy models. IIRC, the photoshoot was space themed as you'd expect but they slicked back her hair and the look in general felt like it crossed the line between tomboy and androgyny. Of course she was naked, so there were breasts and bush but Playboy wasn't like Penthouse, Hustler and other hardcore porn magazines of the time. They generally didn't do extreme pussy shots and stuff like that. If you were a man in his 20s or 30s at that time, you probably had personally gotten a woman with a better body and face naked at some point. Her photoshoot was entirely the novelty of her having been on Star Trek. Without that, she would have been lucky to have been able to appear in a bottom tier porno mag like 'Screw'.
>Bit of trivia, she is the granddaughter of Bing Crosby.
Wasn’t he the one who mercilessly beat his kids?
Not hard enough apparently
I thought she got kicked off because of drug use partying and they didn’t want the associated with the show so killed her off
uh no who told you that
My dad told methat was the prevailing rumor at the time but I guess hindsight
Your dad is damn dirty LIAR.
She had enough money to white wash it years later but I know she was into crazy parties I’m pretty sure that’s why and time erased it
If that was true Patrick Stewart would've been axed as well. He's a complete maniac on his free time.
American Dad isn't really, anon.
Sludge pile got AD&D full monster stats after this, it was worth 15k xp.

Rape gangs
Excuse me? Bit of an apropos of nothing
Come on anon, you don't remember the rape gangs? It's one of the few scraps of backstory she got
>She joined the show and then didn't want to be known for a star trek characyer
Denise Crosby, daughter of Big Band Leader Bing Crosby, did some nude/adult work for some publisher, so -- because that's naughty -- she was written off the show once this was discovered.
Pretty sure she left because Roddenberry was meetoo'ing all over her. Then when he died she came back.
Gene was non compos mentis by that point, it was one of his flunkies that put the moves on her
Still would.
She’s missing this. A-gah-gah-gah-gah-gah-gah.
Fricking savage
you cheeky c**t
WELL BLOW ME DOWN
She's pretty based, too. Trekkies is basically just her bullying Trek nerds for 90 minutes.
Thank you. I was bored and put on Trekkies.
Just a couple minutes in, we meet this.
Enjoy. It doesn't get MUCH wilder than that, but it's still a a wild ride. My dad liked Trek as a kid and took us to see Trekkies in the theater when it came out. I could feel his shame of being associated with those freaks.
Just been jumping through it. I know it is real but, it almost comes across as some sort of cringe comedy mockumentary.
Do they have a moment where they mention something going up to 11?
I'm 20 minutes in, this just makes me want to go to a convention lol.
Some of these guys build sets for their fan-films that are fairly impressive.
wasn't there an episode of seinfeld where jerry walked into kramer's apartment looking like a star trek bridge?
sounds like you're mashing a couple memories together.
kramer turns his apartment into a tv talk show set in one episode, while one of jerry's standup bits is about how guys want their living rooms to be the bridge of the enterprise
No, that was Frasier.
In Trekkies 2, they have a section, where everyone is saying, that it was a huge mistake to include a fricking weirdo like that into the document.
Whatever happened to the Spiner-femmes lady?
She became convinced she was Lal, stalked Brent and tried to kill him. It's all in his memoir.
She’s got nothing on Gail. I actually convinced Gail to shitpost in /trek/ earlier this year
That's a novel, not a memoir. The story about the stalker is fictional.
No shit, Sherlock
She let her blogs die.

mmmm saucy grandma

she has to shoe some boone cleavage else trekkies will not come to her table?
also she was in walking dead.
checked
>she was in walking dead.
Can confirm.
where she was repeatedly gang raped until her and her gang turned the tables only to then become cannibals luring people in with the promise of sanctuary only to end up as dinner.
>where she was repeatedly gang raped
That might have been a reference to Tarsha Yar's backstory where when she got drunk under alien influence she seduced Data and told him about how she had to avoid rape gangs on her home planet but I doubt she managed all the time....and her character does end up being the sex slave of a Romulan commander later on.
>That might have been a reference to Tarsha Yar's backstory
yup why I posted it, might also be why WD producers cast her.
From Tasha Yar to Tasha Yarrrrrrrrrr
lel'd
Such a fit tomboy in her prime.
Indeed.
She looks like the Big Bertha cellmate that exists to scare girls off from committing crime.
Did they ever send her that dvd.
From what I can tell she thought she was about to have a film career, had some roles lined up, and rolled the dice on more film work instead of TNG. Shame, I liked her.
These
Didn’t the same thing happen to the chick who played the first Dax on DS9?
The first Dax wanted to go part time for the final season of the show, so she could go full time on a new show that was just starting. She was fired for not wanting to go full time and she ended up doing that other show for 4 seasons with Ted Danson. When the whole cast held out for a pay raise, she ended up being the only one that was let go. She didn't do anything else significant since.
>She didn't do anything else significant since.
Other than marrying Spock's son.
lucky bastard
Not exactly, after their six season contract was up she didn't want to sign on for the final season and instead be made a recurring character. Executive producer Rick Berman said it was a take it or leave it offer so she left it and they killed her off. She blamed Rick Berman and called him a misogynist, he blamed the studio for it being an all or nothing situation. Show runner Ira Steven Behr claims he was in the dark about it all and probably would have worked it out or left with her.
what is it with "Ricks"?
They’re dicks?

That's not true. She had several borderline softcore pornos in there somwehre.
Oh?
I mean a lot of actors back then did softcore porn. They called them either erotic thrillers or sex comedies. It was respectful work back then that put food on the table because they needed a ton of shit to sell on late night cable and direct to video. Actresses back then got naked all the fricking time because nudity is the cheapest thrill. Nowadays actresses don’t do softcore shit because it’s seen as rape or whatever.
name then
She also starred in Hellraiser III. Not Citizen Kane but a lead in a major horror franchise film and no doubt a decent paycheck. She's married now to Leonard Nimoy's son.
You're thinking of Jadzia.
Kind of mad we never had her sister join the crew.
Also Yesterday's Enterprise was a great episode. Definately in the top 10.
I always see her as hotter Linda Hamilton
You see it too, huh?
>Kind of mad we never had her sister join the crew.
Yeah me too
This was broad was hot as balls and made to order for schlocky 90s tv yet had no career, she must have been crazy/insufferable even by hot actress standards
Maybe she made a bunch of money acting and wisely invested it instead of spending everything on houses and cars then quietly retired and lived off her investments. Not everyone wants to be a celebrity their whole life. Ezri sells houses now and hangs out with her dogs and girlfriends, for example.
No, I need to invent dramatic conspiracy theories.
My guess is she didn't take job seriously. Lots of rich people with connections get into these kinds jobs as a hobby thing. They want to be famous but they don't really care how so they do some modeling, acting, maybe some singing, etc. They don't have a passion for it however so when it is time to work long hours or apply real thought into the work they become flakes and get a reputation for not being team players.
>she just wanted to make money and didn’t take the craft seriously
Okay, Brando.
Yes when I said that rich people get into acting as a hobby I totally said that they do it for money.
She has a pretty long list of men minor roles.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beth_Toussaint
That's not a particularly long list. That's like a guest appearance on a show or a scene or two in a movie every year and its on stuff most people will never have heard of and it cuts off at 2006. Her background in modeling and music videos fits right into what I said as well.
Compare that Crosby who is basically having the same kind of career except putting in thrice as much work in the same time period and is still working.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denise_Crosby#Filmography
I always thought she was Linda Hamilton’s sister
Linda Hamilton's sister, Leslie, is a twin (was; RIP). She looks exactly like her. The scene in T2 where Sarah is having that dream, and sees herself in the playground with baby John, Leslie is the Sarah in the playground, and Linda is the Sarah at the fence.
She appeared in flashbacks as Sheridan's wife in B5, but they had to get someone else for her live appearance due to scheduling conflicts.
That someone ended up being Bruce Boxleitner's actual wife, which turned out to be a good casting choice. I enjoy the contrast between her being in Babylon 5 and her best known role on 'Little House on the Prairie'.
We could already see where her character was going: rape rape rape rape rape. Developing her more would have turned the show into a trivia question about short lived sequel series.
She's so hot in Miracle Mile.
i'm heckin trekkin
>they're all good eps
Nice.
Spock's Brain?
Yeah, TOS is at its best when it really leans into moronic camp. Unless of course you think Roddenberry pushing his commie shit makes for better TV
Point taken, no need to get combative
To be fair, if you have unlimited free energy and also a machine to turn that energy into basically any matter, including food, communism is a lot more feasible.
11pm: ahhh time for bed
This is how Trek used to be watched. You didn’t have the luxury of streaming apps to marathon whole seasons. They gave you various series with random episodes and you watched them back to back and liked it. Frick this new tv shit.
You can still watch episodes in random order with commercials, grandpa.
As a Gramps, I approve of this method.
>my bladder when no commercials
They're not really random. They're playing them in order.
Frick off moron stop acting ike television was better. Obviously the streaming industry is a mess and has helped turned kids into morons but it's way better than waiting a year to rewatch an episode or having to buy the physical copy.
I grew up with dvr so it was a little better.
My step dad once beat my ass because the dvr filled up and I deleted Rambo.
>step pappy busting out the belt
>well at least it ain't ma with the wire coat hanger again

that is easy street.
Bet you didn't fill up that DVR again on his watch though. Now you get to go on the internet and fill up everyone else's hard drives with shitposting and PEPES (Dr. Peppis).
He was a homosexual but I don't really act like a b***h about it like most Millenials. It's funny to see people's reaction when I tell them shit like that though
I used to set my vcr to tape reruns of tng that aired in the middle of the night and then I would binge watch them all in order on the weekends. I had to use the lowest quality recording mode that could fit like 8 hours of video on a tape because I wanted to keep them all, so the quality was absolute dogshit.
Sirtis looked way better in that one than she did in any other episode.
You guys ever listen to these Star Trek audio episodes? A lot of the voices are impersonators but the stories are fun. I got into them when I found one at a junk shop where the Enterprise gets caught between two automated battleships that have been fighting for a billion years.
explains where voyager got the idea
They seem like they'd be comfy listening like the Doctor Who audio dramas.
She did some voice stuff in XCOM 2. Then again, so did a bunch of TNG guys, and their voices are at least recognizable.
And you can't tell me Yesterday's Enterprise wasn't a kino episode
I need to play that again, because I'm drawing a blank. Honestly, the characters in Enemy Unknown were way more iconic. Everyone in 2 feels generic.
You guys may be too young to remember but Crosby was gone for multiple reasons. Yes, she was bored and didn't see the show going anywhere. She was also more hyped about getting her movie career off the ground after films like 48 hours, Pink Panther, getting roles for Miracle Mile and Pet Semetary signed. However her movie career tanked and they offered her a guest appearance to extended her character a bit more as we get Yesterday's Enterprise and eventually her more fun even halfu Romulan daughter.
She's cute.
>industry drama bullshit

She's so qt.

My trekfu is Dr. T'awna so I'm not allowed to post her here.
I love cat Pulasky.
Best Trek show since Voyager.
I prefer Tendi.
Admiral Janeway would disagree, as Prodigy is a sequel to Voyager. Lower Decks is pretty good at telling Star Trek stories among all the jokes, though.
I haven't given that one a shot yet. Any cute waifus?
Janeway, Gwyndala, and Asencia come to mind.
Self reply to post Janeway and Gwydala.

I usually roleplay as a dickgirl Pinkie Pie or Flurry Heart to erp with Fluttershy characters, actually.
Wow, that's somehow even worse. Cheers

Has that ever worked, ever?
The first season of TNG was a disaster production wise and her agent convinced her that the show would be canceled. Her character had nothing to do and was basically just a background extra most episodes. She asked to be written out so the producers gave her a laughable death to spite her, there's an infamous Twitter exchange between her and Rick Berman about her last day on set.
Worf stepped into her role and the show finally found its footing around season 3, it's a shame because it might have been interesting to see how things played out if she stuck around.
As another anon pointed out, her character was mainly pointless. Worf worked well as an indicator of an alien's strength, which never would have worked with Yar. All the shit about rape gangs was tedious and no one wanted to end up with a bunch of #metoo type storylines of female trauma. Many of the cast and staff had backgrounds in soap operas and wanted to do a soap opera in space. Thankfully that never worked out but without those storylines, Denise probably would have been relegated to minor cast anyway.
Her character wasn't pointless, it just wasn't developed. We don't know what her character was because it was never allowed to be.
Honestly, she played extremely well with Worf.
>She asked to be written out so the producers gave her a laughable death to spite her,

No anon. I checked that Twitter exchange myself. The internet screencapped it out of context to make Rick Berman look like butthole.
The truth is that Denise made several follow up Twitter replies, and said that the internet doesn't get her and Rick's sense of humor. That they are actually both very good friends, and that she even had dinner with Rick recently. Denise politely asked the internet to stop making it sound like her and Rick aren't friends, and that there is some sort of bad blood drama between them. There isn't. It was her choice to leave the show and she was fine with it.
Of course her follow up Tweets got ignored and only the screencap you are sharing gets attention. Which leads to misinformed people and false rumors.
Anon we all know he did the same thing to Jadzia Dax's actress.
And he fricked Seven. What a chad.
Marina Sirtis has said that Denise Crosby choosing to leave the show might have saved her role on TNG. She tells a story that Majel Roddenberry confided in her that Gene was being pressured to cut one of the female characters and Troi was on the chopping block.
And of course they can't fire Dorn to obviously he takes over her station on the bridge.
>to cut one of the female characters
Why? If anything it seems like there would be pressure from the higher ups to have T&A.
Why do girls with masculine faces have big egos??
The same hormones that give them gives them the other.
>She joined the show and then didn't want to be known for a star trek characyer
No, she didn't think they were doing anything interesting with her character which they weren't and she didn't think the show was very good which it wasn't in its first season so she decided she wanted to move on in her career.
In retrospect its a terrible decision but at the time it was understandable.
Her leaving the show was probably a blessing for it. Chances are Worf would never receive the same spotlight and development otherwise.
It is interesting how unceremoniously and pathetically she is killed.
>Tasha Yar
>Killed by Tar
BRAVO RODDENBERRY
Why didn't they spar?
Its surprisingly shocking simply because its so random and sudden for a main character to get killed like a red shirt. Its just a pity she was killed by such a lame villain. Armis is creepy and he gave me nightmares when I was a kid; but as an adult he's a dumb concept.
Armus is a great villaim handled very, very poorly. He behaves like a spoiled child throwing tantrums and killing people to demonstrate how edgy he is. He's supposed to be the concentrated evil of an entire superior alien race, i expected a better performance.
>He's supposed to be the concentrated evil of an entire superior alien race
Nah, that's a dumb concept. I don't understand how casting out the evil would work, I don't understand how the evil would be distinct from the rest of their minds so that it could be cast out, I don't understand how that evil would manifest consciousness and I don't understand why that consciousness would take the form of a black tar blob monster.
Its far too contrived and unexplained.
>Nah, that's a dumb concept.
Star Trek is home to many dumb concepts.
Transporters, deflector dish that somehow works FTL, universal translators, warp speed, FTL sub-space radio, replicators, Pah-Wraith and Q magic, etc.
Many such cases.
Some are dumber than others.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO
dont point the obvious about muh perfect lore
you evil scum
The first season was really stupid.
The following seasons were mostly gay.
i could beat up worf
>Come Tasha, show me what you learned on your homeworld.
Honestly the idea of a failed Federation colony turned prison planet was a really interesting concept
I wouldn't blame anyone for getting cold feet from season 1 of TNG that shit was wack
To be honest I never bought her as Security Chief. She didn't have the hardened edge required for the job. They needed Worf in that role. IIRC...Denise actually auditioned for the role of Counselor Troi but got assigned Tasha instead.
I think they wanted to drive home that Starfleet is not the mitary and they specifically wanted someone who was 'tough' but didn't have much of an actual edge. Rodenberry's origi al vision of tng was much softer and more idealistic.
Roddenberry's vision of TNG was realized in season 1 and it suckeddddd. Hence going forward he was more or less kicked to the curb.
Yeah, no argument here.
Would you trust a dentist who has a bunch of Star Trek crap in his dental room and is dressed as a member of Starfleet?
