Argento cut of Dawn
Argento cut is fun because of the weird and random the soundtrack cues.
Theatrical cut is the best of the trilogy imo.
Romero's best film is Knightriders btw
>Argento cut of Dawn
GIVE THIS MAN AN AWARD
the BEST version
MUSIC IS 10/10
Pacing is better
and a cut down movie is ALWAYS better than longer
>dont waste your time with diary
BULLSHIT
diary is underrated kino, and is as good as any of the 3 originals
Day of the Dead, easily
Day 100%
the night remake is really good too. in fact, so is the dawn remake. even more in fact, day is the only good movie remero ever made. land of the dead was okay
dont waste your time with diary and survival
>day is the only good movie remero ever made
Creepshow? Monkey Shines?
was referring to his dead movies
Objectively Night is the most important as it divided the Horror genre into two eras, Pre-NOTLD and Post-NOTLD, but Dawn is more entertaining and iconic.
Day is trash!!!FACT!!!
why haven't you killed yourself yet?
It's not a trilogy, he made two more.
>b-but those suck
Deal with it. They're part of the series and made by the original creator.
He made 6 total
Night
Dawn
Day
Land
Diary
Survival
The bleak atmosphere in Day is unlike any other film I've seen and I can't get enough of it
Dawn is my favorite, but Day is the best, Night is pretty boring.
Land and Diary are both fun, Survival is the overall worst but still worth watching.
Day
I have only watched the first 2.
Day>Night>dawn
I used to love Dawn the most, but rewatching it is just awful because so little happens for a long stretch of the time. Which is fine the first time you watch it but upon more viewings it's boring. Day is just endlessly entertaining with the acting, the way they portray the world, the insane way the survivors are treating each other.
I love them all. Dawn is the most dated of the three, but its also the best. Night is the comfiest. Day is the cheesiest and also underrated.
Night of the Living Dead (1990)
>Night of the Living Dead (1990)
this is the single greatest "zombie" anything of all time, in its most aesthetic, simple form
patricia tallman has some big fat breasts that its an absolute crime were not gratuitously featured in more movies
Finally a good thread on this dead (lol!) and otherwise bot infested site.
My favorite is Zombi Dawn of the Dead (1978), closely followed by Day of the Dead.
I grew up with the German exclusive Final Ultimate Cut which runs at 156 minutes, but the older I got, the more appreciative I have become of the Argento Cut and the Cannes Cut. I began to collect all kinds of versions of Dawn over the years; I even have a copy of the rare Japanese TV version that is heavily cut and censored but with superb Japanese dubbing and the Suspiria soundtrack in the background for a change.
Day of the Dead has aged superbly when it comes to the makeup and effects. I showed my mom a screenshot of it and she thought it was from The Walking Dead lol, which she is a fan of.
Day.
I also like the remake of Dawn.
do all movies have a powerful black man striking a weaker white man?
Generic take but definitely dawn, heck I even like the Snyder remake...
I dunno there's just something about that movie that clicks for me, I see it as the blueprint for what a zombie flick should be. Granted my favourite zombie movie of all time is 28 days later but I don't think it's iconic in the same way.
>I dunno there's just something about that movie that clicks for me
a 1970s philly swat team indiscriminately liquidating a ghetto apartment block of gangs and zombies and poverty
Lmfao
Nah I just see it as one of those movies that defined a genre, established a bunch of tropes. Heck we probably wouldn't have dead centre in Left 4 Dead 2 if it wasn't for dawn and it's the best campaign for me lmao.
solid take
It’s called The Trinity, and for good reason you zoomer bastard
I can't find a reason to like day of the dead, it just feels like it doesn't have a reason to exist.
dawn of the dead was one of my favourite films
Dawn is the only correct answer. It didn't invent the genre but it established all the meaningful elements for countless other projects to emulate later on down the line.
these
it follows the best vision of survival in the modern world. captures the imagination of a what would you do in an empty world and has varying degrees of fear of zombies, respite and then being overrun.
day just feels like some morons waiting around for no reason for something that will never come, which is what the plot of the film seems to be.
