Darius went from a reasonable person with empathy for dinosaurs to a person willing to kill people, which I hate is one thing to want to save animals that is fine, but putting human life over some some cloned animals in a zoo is going one step too far.
This is why I don't like pic related in Jurassic Park 2, all the deaths in that movies up to the point the leave the island are his fault, hell he keeps doing it once both groups camps are trashed and they are in a life or death situation, he takes away the bullets from that rifle as the T-Rex is eating people. Darius became that, his friends lives are in danger and instead of trying to put them as a priority dinosaurs are.

The movie is supposedly about Ian being a flawed guy that needs to change but Holy SHIT Sarah the insufferable predator “expert” spends how many hours and miles walking with fresh fricking REX BLOOD ON HER JACKET? Like you can reasonably infer that Burke was initially right and the rexes would have kept to their own territory but followed the smell of baby blood since that’s literally what the rex zeroes in on when it arrives at the camp and sticks it’s face into the tent
I’m sorry, Ian being kind of a bad father really doesn’t stack up to the nature tards

Well, at least Darius is, like, literally 12 during most of the series. It doesn't absolve everything but it's more reasonable than Sarah and Vince Vaughn, especially since he was possibly expressing his own trauma of the various incidents by leaning extra hard into saving dinosaurs as a surrogate atonement for losing his father
I would still put him on a government watch list for possible future dino-terrorism
