It wasn't that bad of an ending but it was kind of pointless to have the obligatory episode 15 breakup when it's clear they will get back together. I think in some point some character said something along the lines of "I hope I run into them on the street, that way I can at least see them" which was kind of what the ending was (which was planned by the little brother), but they clearly get back together

Yeah that does not make any slight sense.
I think they broke up because everyone thought it was insane when the two families hate each other, but yeah it doesn't make much sense to us viewers since we know the whole story. Korean writers always make up moronic reasons for couples to break up near the end and then get back together, kek.
Female lead was the best part of the show, need more characters like her instead of women who can't do anything and cry all the time

Not standard kdrama but Connect, it sucked and ended in a pretty dumb way, not even a s1 cliffhanger more like a part 1 ending.

The ending is literally a copy paste of My Mister's one (as the whole show already is) but sloppy (as is the whole show), and written by someone whose whole life experience is watching kdrama and having done a 2 weeks internship at a company organizing camping fairs, I don't know what's so confusing about it.

I’m on episode 2 and it’s only here that they showed the initial announcement of the asteroid collision but it was only 3 minutes long at best before the timeline jumped forward again. How the frick do they expect us to follow this schizophrenic storytelling?

I'm at ep8 and considering dropping it. Not because it's confusing but it's just a lot of nothing. there's some semblance of plot here and there and then it's back to 20 minutes about the joy of chicken farming or kids playing in the street or people doing some gardening, or 10 minutes of that side character mourning her son by looking at his picture for 57th time... literally wtf were they thinking?
I know they removed one of the main plot line concerning the ML who was canceled, yet instead of shortening the runtime it seems to me they went back and reshoot tons of filler instead

Ok, Bood Free was amazing this week but holy shit Han Hyo Joo is so beautiful in this it's distracting and preventing me from completely following the storyline.
I like how soft-spoken she is.
And I'm really starting to like the show and its near-future sci-fi vibes, even though now there's only two eps left lol.
The ml almost reminds me of Adam Jensen when he has that long coat.
And that actor from Mouse, who plays the politician here, is really good. He has this enlivening presence, I hope his best work is yet to come.
I like the direction they went with Yoon Ja-yu, quite refreshing in terms of character and performance. Lee Hee-joon is always a treat, very charismatic actor

Some things do feel a bit under-baked, yeah. The villains' motivations in particular imo. But I'm still enjoying the overall story and characters (glasses guy researcher really grew on me)

I don't, that's the oldest drama I've seen.
There is "Eyes of Dawn", which covers historical stuff around the end of the Korean War, but haven't seen it yet. That's often paired with Sandglass as the big 20th century historical dramas.
Definitely worth exploring more though

NTA, I tried watching other Replies and I finished one (1997) and failed to finish the other one (1994). I don't think they are that far off in terms of quality, but trying to binge them one after another just feels like too much. 1988 has the technical benefits of being newer and, for me, just a more interesting setting with it being a bit more removed.
I don't think I could do them back to back, movie length episodes are massively time consuming.
