Can you explain further?
They've been dying since long before the woke era, in my opinion it's that young fans have access to so much free media they don't see the appeal of overpriced monthly episodic stories that can't have an proper ending and the older fans aging out or leaving because of the overall low quality of the current books
>overpriced
why in the frick don't Marvel and DC have constant sales like steam does for video games?
>it's that young fans have access to so much free media
I don't think the price has anything to do with it, more just the outdated format.
You can only tell so many stories with the same characters before it just gets old.
Shit stories and having to compete with manga.
The former killed the big 2 and the latter killed creator-owned in the crib.
Marvel & DC getting bought/taken over by larger companies. This meant they no longer had to actually sell comics to stay afloat as the parent company could subsidize them & prop them up.
movies didn't kill it but they sure didn't do anything to save it either

It was ME! I did it!
The comic book industry.
Self-inflicted gunshot wound.

THE ICE AGE
Sana Amanat and Heather Antos in Marvel, and Andy Khouri in DC, then Erik Larsen and Eric Stephenson killed Image.
The same thing that "kills" every piece of media for Cinemaphile, normalgays becoming the target audience.
Bendis
The comic industry post-1996 killed itself.
