Seeing your comment made me curious about who's directing civil war vs who directed the last decent action movie I saw, Extraction.
On the left, directing Civil War, we've got English novelist and filmmaker David Garland, and on the right, for Extraction, we've got American stuntman and stunt coordinator-turned-director Sam Hargrave (and notice he's actually got Hemsworth wearing a pretty decently fitted plate carrier).
Also, those were the first pictured Google returned for each of them. I wasn't specifically trying to make Garland look like a depressed, overweight soiboy.
The vibe I got from this scene in the trailer was more like he was just some redneck LARP'ing as a soldier and not an actual soldier that's why he's wearing those goofy glasses.
Then again I'm not american and I don't know anything about guns or gear.
They want to make him look less well equipped because he's supposed to be some militia leader or something, in real life militia types spend all their free cash on tacticool shit so he should look kitted out, but this is meant to convey to the audience that he's not "official". At least that's my take, he could end up being the grand wizard of the Florida alliance though so who knows.
No, but maybe you're another oldgayerino. I've been here so long that I can't give you dates for anything. Even if someone arrived at an earlier date, I've spent more time on Cinemaphile, so I'm pretty seasoned.
>Are white societies superior?
Sorry for the late reply, but I was posting in a Lord of the Rings thread. Do you really need to ask this question? You know the answer, because it's given by statistics. White countries receive the most immigrants, because they're the best places to live. Is it the land that makes it the best place? No, it's the people. That means one day it won't be the best place.
What is up with Brits and their fascination about a second American Civil War? They seem to write about it more than you’d think foreigners would, even Churchill wrote a weird alt history,
>What is up with Brits and their fascination about a second American Civil War?
They probably just realise that America will be the first place to fall.
>A handful of Brits colonize India >India improves >India makes them leave >Infrastructure collapses
In terms of the French that more came about from a thousand years of North Africans either invading the Iberian Peninsula or being pirates so occupation seems fine with me.
The idea that Texas and California would be on the same side of a second civil war is beyond absurd. Enough so that a lot of people on the right just laugh at the idea and have no interest in seeing the movie. I'm sure people on the left fell the same way, but maybe it will tickle some of their maga killing and/or victim fantasies? I'm not sure that'll be enough audience for the movie.
> that a lot of people on the right just laugh at the idea and have no interest in seeing the movie
Oh damn they lost all the audience they will spend the entire movie insulting?
Nah the funniest thing you can do is to adopt the fashion advice from the amerinazis in this movie unironically and then they’ll scream and moan about how you don’t get it. You’re the bad guy. But you do get it.
>The idea that Texas and California would be on the same side of a second civil war is beyond absurd
only if you're a moron that thinks California is just Hollywood, as if Texas were just Austin
What is up with Brits and their fascination about a second American Civil War? They seem to write about it more than you’d think foreigners would, even Churchill wrote a weird alt history,
The Natsoc flag is obvious, but I meant the country flags. Dunst looks like Israel, but what is that rainbow one? I don't know what the target is either.
Uh huh. Thanks for telling me. See, I haven't even used /misc/ long enough to know meta stuff like that. I think I only went on /misc/ when the coronavirus first started and that's what it was called.
Looking at the scene now it really is pretty stupid. “What kind of Americans” is a perfectly logical question when there’s an American multi-factional war going on and the guys react to his question with bewilderment.
He was actually asking the brown guy what kind of American he was, and he wasn't questioning the white people. The intent of the scene is really obvious. They don't show what happens, but that guy probably gets shot.

It's obvious that this is supposed to be a major suspense scene. The MC are held at gunpoint by men who's alliegence they don't know. He interogates them to find out who they serve and none of them know which lie to tell. Similar to Ser Davos being found by a random ship after surviving the battle of the Blackwater: Which king did you fight for? With his life on the line is Davos the kind of man who will like and weasel his way out or defiantly tell the truth?
The scene is funny, in my opinion. You're being held at gunpoint and questioned by white people. If they don't like your answer, you're probably in the wrong. That's the problem I have with this movie.
It's just going to be the old trope of >he is about to shoot him >other guy yells: "no wait! we're *answer that doesn't get them killed*" >well why didn't you say so

No, I wouldn't be mad, and you don't know anything about me. In fact, I filtered 90% of the board to get away from people like you and you showed up in my thread. Reply after the hide and please doubt what I said is true. If someone wants me to prove I'm an oldgay, I will try to, but I won't speak to you.
Oldgay is a status symbol. Especially og ones. Or at least it used to be.
No one gives a shit if someone claims they browse Cinemaphile or something but claiming you're a oldgay that old is something different entirely
To be honest, I'm not sure how I'd prove I was an oldgay if asked, but least I'd try. I know Cinemaphile used to have a e-girl board, or at least I was told that. How many people do you see use the term e-girl anymore? I know what it is, because I jerked off to it, like every other anime fan.

Oh, thank you for clearing that up. I see the symbol so little that I thought it was a swastika. Must have been seeing what I want.

>but that guy probably gets shot.
nah, it's pretty obvious something else happens, like an attack from a third party, and MCs escape
The trailer gives it away. He gats ran over by the black guy in the white truck.
no he looks at all of them, the woman on the ground the longest. he's obviously asking about their allegiance
I guess I was giving my head canon with confidence then.
