It's not executives they need but bringing back the creative committee that kept everything together. This is very true, and in every business too. I work at a surgery center for a private doctor group, one of the worst doctors, by far, is a black woman. She’s awful, but she can’t be fired and the doctors have straight up admitted to some of the staff they’re close friends with that they’re afraid to fire her because they think she’ll sue them. People are afraid to give women and minorities consequences and discipline. They can get away with subpar, and sometimes dangerous, work as a result because companies are more afraid of discrimination lawsuits than malpractice and other lawsuits. This doctor is unsurprisingly into social justice issues, it’s like she knows she’s terrible and gets into social justice as a defense/threat to let the partners know that if she is fired she will sue. And that’s also why all of the talentless hack diversity hires in Hollywood are so into social justice issues. Never go to a female and/or non-white/asian doctor and why I only go to white men for all services.

It's a fascinating phenomenon and something that deserves some study. We see two separate cultures in play here. Notice how in every picture on the left side, the women are making public appearances. They're dressing to be provocative, to be sexy. They're make a show of themselves, in a sense. It's the result of the second wave of the bra-burning feminism of the 1960s. On the right side, they're all performing as specific characters, but that role is determined by a man, a man who claims to have feminist interests at heart. Both sides claim to be feminist, and yet they conflict drastically.

        Anonymous

        >Both sides claim to be feminist, and yet they conflict drastically.
There is this divide between nuwave feminists and second wave feminism when it comes to sexuality, second wave was about expressing their sexuality, nuwave is about denying female sexuality because "Male gaze"

        Anonymous

No, that’s just the nature of women/feminists. It’s not men making those women cover up, the women want to be covered up too. Women love to be the victims, they love to virtue signal. They want to pretend that Hollywood still has an issue with sexualizing and objectifying women, so they speak out against it. They demand to be covered up so they can be hailed as a strong, brave woman standing up to a sexist industry.

But at the same time society bawd shames women and invalidates sex work. Sex work is real work after all. So those same women, in a different context where the narrative is society shames women for being sexual, want to free the nipple and sexualize themselves because they’re strong independent women standing up to a sexist society.

The thing you need to understand is that women have no real beliefs, convictions, or thoughts. They are merely selfish, self-centered thinks. All they care about is raising their own social stock and being publicly applauded. Standing up to sexiest Hollywood will get them the most applause in one context, and showing off their bodies will get them the most applause and attention in another.

The men want to cover them in the right, because those same woman would cry to the public for sympathy and if they wore revealing clothing. Look at Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olson, and Brie Larson and the comments they’ve made of you think it’s men making them cover up, men are only “making” them cover up because of the things those women said or would say.

      Marvels revenue:
      $80m * .5 = $40m
      $116m * .4 = $46.4m
So Disney made about $86m in revenue

      Costs:
      $220m production budget
      $100m marketing budget (conservative)
So they spent $320m made $86m

The biggest lessons that they NEED to learn are that men and women are different and that you don't get to tell audiences what they're going to like.

Superheroes as a premise mostly appeal to men.
Men are more visual and introverted while women are more social. Women will go to male-oriented movies for social purposes. That's why aiming media at men prints money while it's fairly consistent across "scenes" (Hollywood, anime, etc.) that female audiences can only prop up like one hit once every 1-2 years.
Male protagonists are much safer for male-oriented movies. If the protagonist is going to be female, she had better be adorable and a knockout, and it's better to sex her up. Keep in mind that the only people who find wine aunts adorable are themselves. Men find them obnoxious and repulsive. Keep them off of the cast and the writing team.

Iger is the person most responsible for modern Disney and one of the most responsible for the current state of entertainment. The types of people who are causing all of our problems saw him as their idol. I'd say that if the list is only CEOs of non-finance companies, he takes the #1 spot.
