Mario movie made a billion and it was also advertising the theme park. Toys don’t sell anymore. Video games do. Plus, the Toads were the Minion stand-ins. The single Luma was just a gag character.
>toads were the minion stand ins
the toads weren't given any personality. I agree with the film's grossing but the Luma was clearly meant to be the marketing icon for the film given how much they pushed it in marketing
Lumas are made to die, fat Lumas are ones at the end of their life cycle that need starbits to form a new galaxy, we see the Lumas at the end of the game sacrifice themselves on mass to reset the galaxy. They are a universal force, given mind who exists to die and expand the universe.
The mario is good in the sense it's an actual Mario movie. The movie does suffer from problems.
Luigi side story is he's captured
Just in a cage
Why? Just because Bowser thought Peach would like a sacrifice at the wedding. No grand reason, he just thought killing his captives would be fun.
BP. The movie was clearly made for kids and severely autistic adults but the amount of references was pretty decent, which likely solely came from Nintendo's end. That's literally all the movie has going for it. The plot itself was trash and trying way to hard to be a Pixar film as opposed to an original film idea, the music was way too inconsistent given all the out of place tracks and the celeb voice cast was completely unnecessary given that none of them other than Jack Black added anything to the characters. Movie's a 5/10 at best from a critical viewpoint.
Being in a bad movie
>it's STILL relevant
Unfunny writers

When Lumas die, they become new worlds/galaxies.
That would require a lot of energy.
mario galaxy ends with Bowser destroying the entire universe, and a new one being created to replace it

I was expecting this edgy little homosexual to be important

I genuinely forgot this movie existed
I still think about the Sonic movie.
He saw a window into our reality. The problem was that the window was a Ukrainian drone camera.
Autism.
Extended period of separation from mommy.
How this homie gonna come back. By the time they release a sequel, the director's daughter would have outgrown the role.
