    >Flatline
Villain who can control people’s heartbeat rates, raising or lowering theirs and his own, with an all black helmet that had a flatline monitor thing in the front. Yes I know there’s now a dc e-girl called flatline
    >Treeborg
Basically a cyborg with Krakoan style technology, but I had the idea first dammit!
    >Shrapnel
Has the ability to make objects fracture, and shatter

Shen Xing had always been an unassuming asian-american, though plagued by nearsightedness from an early age.
One day he went and had laser eye surgery done, but something must have gone wrong during the surgery: Though Xing's vision was fully corrected, he was shocked the next day when he found he'd become able to shoot laser beams out of his eyes, and he vowed to get to the bottom of this ghastly occurrence.
As he investigated the practice where he had had the surgery, Xing participated in uncovering an evil world-domination plot by a cabal of mad ophthalmologists. Xing was soon thereafter recruited by a mysterious organization dedicated to foiling this and other similar plans. The organization granted him a code name, and that was how Shen Xing became known as... Asian Ocular Laser Man!

When I was 8 I had "The Venom", he was Venom without the Spider-Man symbol and acted like Machoman Randy Savage. Also Iron Cat, a super intelligent black cat in a white human sized powersuit that was like a Cat themed Guyver/Shriek from Batman Beyond.

The protagonist is part of a secret international organization that is devoted to policing and monitoring supernatural activity on Earth. Think of them as the Men in Black but with supernatural instead of extraterritorial. Potential membership is limited to recommendation and recruitment. Official membership is granted once it's approved from the senior leadership.

The protagonist is a field agent that was recruited by a relative that retired from being a field agent and moved into a leadership role. Like all field agents, the protagonist was supernaturally enhanced to possess enhanced physical attributes ( ~20 ton strength, bulletproof level durability, faster than speed of sound movement and reflexes, perfect equilibrium), regenerative healing factor, enhanced senses (sight, hearing, and smell), precognitive vision, and ability to sense the presence of the supernatural and magic. The protagonist was also given a medallion that functions as an inventory box. Within the medallion contains an armor that provides additional defensive capabilities and various other functions. And a night-indestructible anti-magic sword that's capable of negating magical effects and cutting magic/energy.

What are the supernatural monsters that they fight?

        Anonymous

Just the typical stuff you see in the supernatural genre and video games. They are divided into 2 categories, friendly and unfriendly. Friendly are supernatural beings or phenomenons that were confirmed to pose no threat to the individual and community. Unfriendly are supernatural beings or phenomenons that pose a threat to the individual and community. Threat level is based on the danger they pose to the community as oppose to the average field agent. Low level threats would be limited to supernatural beings that even an average human could deal with. Medium level threats would include a monster nest located within a community and supernatural beings that the average human is incapable of dealing with. High level threat would include devils, evil gods, eldritch beings, cultists attempting to summon a devil, evil god, or eldritch being, immensely powerful wizards, corrupted ex-members of the secret organization and etc.

I made up one called Duke Aegis that's literally just a good guy version of Baron Zemo based on a Zemo story I made up, then changed just enough to be original, where he's the son of a supervillain and has to fight all of his father's former allies and foes

      Anonymous

I had the idea that he was born and raised in a hyperbolic time chamber style controlled environment facility underneath his father's layer where he was forced to constantly train and study being groomed to become a supremely powerful world conqueror dictator, but he grows to hate and resent his prison and his father who put him there plotting his escape for years on end. There's another subject who's imprisoned near him who I based off of Ezekiel Stane/Ghost who's being experimented on in a more transhumanist fashion that becomes his closest friend who he is deeply protective of and motivates him even more to break free.

Once he pulls off his escape and kills his captors he begins a long form battle against the Hydra knockoff secret society and all of their leaders and secret bases. He recruits more people to his cause, like performing a ritual to summon my rip off version of Enchantress and Executioner, and fights then befriends a freak monster character similar to Abomination or Tiger Shark, somebody like that. Becomes kind of like Thunderbolts eventually

The Enchantress and Executioner are more like a succubus and grim reaper, or a Fury and Thanatos, and the Abomination monster is more like a giant gelada baboon

funny enough I had a friend who wrote a character like this on an old RP forum, and used Zemo as the look for his character.

I don't have any in particular, but I like the ideas of both

    >dickish superheroes that are only "good" in a very technical sense (though that's been done to death recently so not super original anymore)

    >pathetic C-list supervillains who either have shitty powers or just don't care about or have the will for world domination and just use their powers to commit petty crimes or be annoying

The latter has narrative potential as a "redemption arc" that actually makes sense or as a plot device (like, their powers are actually strong and they're just too stupid or scared of them to use them properly, so other supervillains want to use them as an unwilling living weapon). Could also be used in a more "grimdark" superhero setting where despite not actually doing anything that bad they get fricked over anyway, which could act as a catalyst for becoming an actual proper supervillain or antivillain or something (or just as an X-men style "this is a metaphor for [social issue] actually" way but that's gay)

I created a mutant who could die and be reborn in an alternate universe version of herself when their mutant gene activates, absorbing their memories and whatever power they would've had
I made another that used earth manipulation abilities to create a mutant homeland, and allied with Namor, The Moleman, AIM, and Dracula to create an archipelago representing the earths mutant, magical, and general e"x"tra beings of Earth populations like sentient robots, mutates, and other humanoids on the evolutionary tree

I didn't want it to be as soon as it probably would be, I wanted the world to have a "wait and see" reaction
I wanted the FF already on the scene investigating strange sensor readings on Reeds most advanced machines, and Namor and the the Mole Man being involved would make them stick around. They'd relay info to the US Govt, SHIELD, the Avengers, whoever and that'd pipeline plus their presence could get people to back off at first. No one knows about AIM or the magical stuff on the other islands yet so the focus is on Monster Island 2, upper Atlantis/lower Atlantis, and the mutant/mutate island. M-Island is basically empty beyond a few rescues and their families. QS/SW are picked up in one of these rescues before acting themselves, and are here incognito, having abandoned Magneto and the Brotherhood. There's people messed up from some mad scientists experiment or exposure to something transformative, morlocks

No one's actually done anything wrong, and the FF, SHIELD, and the world at large having eyes/drones on the situation would have some villains or other groups from trying anything for a while too

I played around with the idea of a guy whose power was that he got progressively better at things the longer he did them, but the catch was that once he stopped all the improvement from his powers reset back to zero. So for example if he got into a fistfight he'd start as just a regular guy probably getting his ass beat if he was fighting someone competent, but then the longer he managed to stay in the fight he'd become a progressively more skilled fighter.

Probably call him Idiot Savant or something.

my character is Basedman, he had no actual superhuman powers but he was totally awesome. He had a secret HQ that he named the Basedment where he kept all his crime fighting gear (yes he's basically Batman in a different costume, b/c I just like Batman lol, I think he's cool). His archvillain is his twin brother, Cyber-Cringe, who as a youth was run over by a Chinese lady's shopping cart in Best Buy, and to survive his injuries he had to become cyberdized, which gave him super human abilities but left him traumatized and half-mad. He then became racist against blacks, or maybe he always was. Eventually the two brothers reconcile and team up against the real villain, who turns out to be Batman, just because I hate him. When they finally beat Batman and remove his mask, he's actually an alien.

I've made up a bunch, but the most flesh out is Omega, the emissary of a long-dead race who carries the seed of a mechanical universe to plant somewhere safe from reality-degrading Pheonyx fire. A hero by circumstance, rather than by choice. Has the ability to create technology and gadgets, as long as he has physical contact with them.

I'm sure I've got childhood drawings somewhere in my closet if anyone's curious, lmao

I'm saying superhero stories uniquely can travel through everything, high concept science fiction and fantasy, gritty dystopian science fiction, historical fiction, slice of life rom com type of stories, heavy dramatic stories about families and loss, it has everything all in one.

Created a character for a GURPS superhero game that didn't take off.
1950's style mad scientist who was into biological modification. He had well trained rats in his lab-coat so that he could extend his arm, snap his finger, and a small rat head would pop out of his sleeve and let loose a torrent of flame or capturing goop, stuff like that.
Also he was trying to create the ultimate lifeform in his lab, which was a horror-house of aggressive plant life and strange animals. You know, end of campaign accidental (he doesn't want to do harm, he just wants to do his science) villain type stuff.

She now has powers relating to the Dark and shadows but at the cost being unable to touch sunlight

I had a childhood superhero, Tankman, who was basically a golden-age Superman in terms of powerset, except he had metal skin. He had a sidekick/girlfriend called Bombshell, who could fly and fire energy blasts. I loved those characters and used to write little stories about them, but they're all gone now. His costume looked kind of like this, except nowadays I'd have made the star white to go with a patriotic theme -- and he'd have metal skin, of course.
