How do writers actually show intelligence? Even if the writing is really good, intelligence is usually based on TONS of experience which young characters are literally incapable of having.
She solved a puzzle made by Banner. Even in her own series, they make a point that Luna is booksmart but stupid in a lot of ways. She actually ends up looking up to Ben the most out of any other character she meets and ends up considering him the smartest FF member.
