Some of them seriously claim the name Palpatine or the original movie being ANH didn’t come up until the prequels. Even though the ANH subtitle was added in 1981 and the Emperor was named Palpatine in 1976 (named after Palatine from Taxi Driver)

Han was originally going to be an alien, that alone already shows the degree to which things had been changed by the time of the first movie

It all went to shit once Lucas got divorced and Gary Kurtz left. ROTJ was not meant to end the trilogy at all. Lucas just rushed it so he could retire early and just be a casual producer.
Lucas even got burned out again after TPM and AOTC/ROTS were filmed much more cheaply.
Anonymous
I don't. Even in the backstory for Vader that Lucas spells out during RotJ's story conferences no mention is made of the Sith. Vader was what he was because he was a Jedi. He can use the Force and has a lightsaber because he was a Jedi. Hence why the Emperor refers to lightsabers the way he does.
>magazine interviews from 1977 where Lucas talks about Vader and Obi Wan dueling in a volcano
this actually reminds me of a question I've long had for Star Wars production history buffs: why is the Darth Vader-Obi Wan duel so shitty in ANH? Was it just that Guiness didn't want to bother with any choreography or was it always planned to just be two dudes standing at each other flicking their wrists every once and a while.
The lightsabers were extremely expensive and fragile, they went back to the drawing board for the effect in ESB which allowed them to do actual sword fight choreography
Were they not planning on rotoscoping over them entirely like they ended up doing? Because as it is, there's no reason the actors couldn't have used wooden sticks with a lightsaber hilt.

Anonymous
Lightsabers in ANH are rotating poles that were coated in a super reflective material. I think they were always planning to rotoscope over them, but the idea was that they would cast light off onto the actors and set around them but it barely worked and just make the lightsabers nearly unusable for fight scenes.

>two dudes standing at each other flicking their wrists every once and a while
Obi is old but still a master, I'd say it's supposed to be like an old fashioned samurai-duel (esp. given Lucas's inspiration from Kurosawa), not wasting as much energy and sizing each-other up more while building up to a quick, conclusive blow
there was a time when i still would have recommended 1977 star wars, but the new sequels and prequels have ruined every ounce of the film. every line has been retconned. every interaction is fricking moronic now. every motivation is bullshit. plot points and backstories are dogshit and confounding. characters you once thought were neat or interesting or human are now just "black dude who cheated at cards" or "white guy named solo because he was alone". mystery and fantasy story ideas are now just bacteria. jedi that ruled the galaxy for 1000s of years just suddenly lost all power in one single day. despite being superpowered with the ability to read minds.
any number of the stupid shit can and will come back to ruin your enjoyment of this film. just abandon it and watch something else.
I very much understand people who don't like Star Wars due to the massive, oversaturated brand it's become. The thing I always say in response is that I 100% agree, but viewed in a vacuum the original 3 are just some fun space action films from the late 70s to early 80s. It didn't need to be like this.
The biggest changes are Han shooting first and CGI Jabba right? They're pretty irrelevant to the whole overaching thing, and definitely aren't going to make or break a new person's enjoyment.
>CGI Jabba
Jabba was cut from the original because they couldn't make the scene work. They took the dialogue, almost word for word, and inserted it into the Greedo scene.
Lucas, dumb frick that he is, restored the scene with a CGI Jabba. What you have now are two scenes that are practically back to back where they say the exact same exchange of lines only now there's a cartoon slug making funny faces. That's really not a minuscule change and it's just the tip of the iceberg for weird unnecessary shit that Lucas added for his "vision".
What makes it worse is Han stepping on Jabba's tail. Bad boy rogue smuggler or not, I doubt a mob boss of Jabba's standing tolerates that sort of thing in front of his underlings.
>They're pretty irrelevant to the whole overaching thing, and definitely aren't going to make or break a new person's enjoyment.
Holy shit how do you know these interesting facts? do you have a psychology degree or something? did they teach you how cinema as an art works and it's effect on people?
>The biggest changes are Han shooting first and CGI Jabba right?
Perhaps if you're talking about plot but the really big change was in Jedi where they altered a scene in Jabba's palace. Changed the music, added in two CGI singers/dangers and some other s hit. For what reason? None. It doesn't impact the plot, it doesn't involve any of the main characters, or anything else. Its like Lucas just looked at one of the few good parts of that movie and said "You know, I'm going to make sure nobody gets to see this scene again" and then did his very best to do exactly that.
But the horrible looking fuzzy guy. I dont mind the song when you're playing battlefront 2 (original) but its just so bad especially with the cgi in the movie.
The terrible early-2000s CGI is incredibly distracting - it takes you right out of it every time. There'll be a location shot and your brain will just go "oh look there's some dumb-looking shit that is clearly from a totally different decade to the actual movie". If you took Casablanca and added random gifs of cartoon characters in some location shots it might not impact the plot but it's still going to detract from the experience.
I feel like George is legit autistic which is both his charm but also sometimes his downfall. He put the Vader NOOOO in ROTJ because he seems to believe in a "Tell don’t show" type of storytelling.

Yeah honestly if he didn’t go back and edit the OT I’d like him a lot more, he’s fantastic at world building and I really respected him in the 80’s and 90’s for standing up to film censorship.

Not to mention how sloppily done some of the changes are. Greedo shooting first is one thing, but the 2004-2011 releases also had messed up colors like Vader’s saber being pink and it phasing through Luke’s saber, well as the 2004 sound mix having reversed channels and sounding weaker compared to the 1997 sound mix.
>everyone all over the galaxy instantly knows that the emperor is dead somehow and the rest of the empire has just vanished for some reason
yeah, no, I'll take my jubjub song (or whatever the vietnamese teddie bears were saying while using the dead bodies of stormtroopers as toys)
the little vietcong bears playing with and using the helmets of the stormtroopers as instruments really enhances it for me, I imagine some of the imperial troops ended up becoming food for the fur covered terrors

I was able to download harmy's no problem, I'll give the 4k releases another shot tomorrow. It's funny, I was checking to make sure the harmy's were good and I ended up just watching 20 minutes of a new hope. That movie really holds up.
4k77, 4k80, and 4k83 if you want the closest thing possible to the original theatrical versions, and don't mind that coming with the (soulful) imperfections like the image being kinda fuzzy at times, saturation and contrast not being hyper consistent (though IMO they often look better than the other versions which all seem to be filtered/tinted in odd ways), and a couple of goof-ups like Ben's lightsaber not having the lightsaber effect over it in a shot from ANH during the duel with Darth Vader, etc...
Despecialized if you want some sort of chimera of bluray footage, older cleaned up footage, and lots of color-correcting that creates something between the theatrical and special editions but with newer sources and clearer visuals
Yet intended for transfer to film because that's what every theater in the world still had at that point. The theatrical versions of Episodes II and III look significantly better than any home media release.
>intended for transfer to film
Yes, in the sense that was the practical reality of film distribution at the time. Most theaters were not willing to shell out for digital projectors and a lot of the production-side of the industry wasn't entirely convinced yet either.
But the actual reality is that Lucas was very much pushing for digital projection. He was one of the first and loudest advocates for it. If he had it his way theaters the country over would have adopted digital projectors overnight. >The theatrical versions of Episodes II and III look significantly better than any home media release.
True, but that doesn't change Lucas's actual intent or attitude. After all, nothing was stopping him from scanning film prints for home media.
my dad had a copy of ROTS on reel and this is actually true. the film grain really made the movie look so much better than the digital releases. wish he never got rid of it
Incredible.
Here is a scanned trailer. Dont fall for redditlettermedia lies, this how it actually looked in theaters. Anyone who watched these movies at the theater remembers they looked great.
Yeah they did look a lot better in the cinema, especially TPM. The DVD transfers were complete shit.
Still Episode 2 and 3 do look worse than 1, no way around that
I haven't watched the old star wars in a long time, is this a scene where they showed adult anakin before vader with a random actor? i dont remember that tbh
>they showed adult anakin before vader with a random actor?
No, they showed the force ghost of 50yo Anakin after his death. Bringing back a 20something Anakin was really stupid, implying the last moments of his life (when he shows his face to Luke on the Death Star) were useless and not the cathartic conversion they were in the previous version.
So how are they going to explain in Kenobi when Qui Gon's force ghost appears and Liam Neeson clearly looks old as shit compared to himself in Phantom Menace
I can wait, but wish I knew how long I'd be waiting. I got a 4k tv nearly four years ago and i've been waiting this whole time for 4k80 to be done before I will watch all the rest
I think he should be able to do whatever he wants with his film and release his definitive version, but he cannot do that while destroying cinema history.
The 2011 Blu ray one was based on the DVDs which had rather saturated and sometimes mistimed colors (ie Vaders saber being pink). The 2019 Disney+ one was a 4K transfer Lucas was working on in 2012 when converting the movies to 3D. It went back to using the 1997 SE as a base, so the colors were less saturated.
Only contrarians would choose that drunk looking moron, even if he was in the original film
Darth Vader was played by pic related which is closer to what prequel Anakin looks
When I watch the OT, I use Harmy's for 4 and 6 while using the Special Edition for 5
For some reason, the changes made for ESB are a lot less incongruent and intrusive
Agreed, ESB was definitely hit the least by the changes, or at least in the least offensive ways. The changes to the background aren't nearly as noticeable (unless you put the two versions next to each other) as the shitty CGI aliens and stuff added into ANH and RotJ
I'm almost certain the Harmy releases only exist in 720p so you're either gonna have to settle for that or dedicate the drive space for the Team Negative1 4k scans.
They aren't even close to being the same thing you absolute fricking cretin, Star Wars is a timeless epic that just so happens to be set in space and doesn't deserve to be compared to progressive goyslop propaganda or The Expanse.
>Luke did I ever tell you about Bane? >Nobody cared who he was, not until he put on the mask that is. >He was a cunning warrior, even getting caught was a part of his plan... >and he was a Big Guy.
I suggest you never see it. Star Wars is completely trash. Nothing good except the original trilogy which is outdated and also bad but not as bad as the rest.
D+77 and 80 are based on the new 4k hdr blu-ray releases, so any frames from project 4k were dnr'd and color corrected to be visually consistent. As far as the quality goes, it's seamless. I've watched them on a 4k tv and eat amazed at how professionally made they are. As for 4k83, it was made from a pristine 35mm scan, didn't have much in the way of heavy grain anyway.
Depends on what you want. 4k is scanned from a 35mm film reel and D+ is reconstructed using blu ray footage, they're both effectively the same movie shot for shot but 4k is "pure" if you want an easy label
Here's 4k77. It has no dnr, so it looks grainer than the other releases I've posted, which is why I skipped it before.
The D+/4k Blu-Ray version if you don't care about the special edition changes, 4k77 if you do.
The d+ version is the original movie with no cgi dinosaurs or other frickery. Only things that get transferred from the special edition is really miniscule stuff like matte lines getting cleaned up and so on.
In the pre prequel timeline Anakin was 55 in ROTJ, however the prequels retconned it so that he was 45. Shaw does look like kinda he could pass for 55, but not 45. So that’s why Lucas made the change to Hayden. But people are frustrated that Lucas tries to rewrite the OT to fit the PT instead of writing the PT to fit the OT better.
Because the edit at the end of ROTJ looks terrible and makes no sense, even though I enjoy the prequels George was a total hack when it came to all the OT edits and was rightfully shunned for ruining the original prints.
Because it's an attempt to shoehorn in prequel garbage into the OT, and I'm sorry to tell you anon but the prequels are fricking awful and Christensen was a big part of that
4K77 is the best and most soulful. The image is grainy and feels like an authentic theatrical experience, and it's still much more detailed than Harmy's.
Harmy's is a blurry mess due to only being at low quality 720p, and his color grade is severely oversaturated at many parts, giving it a weird digital look.
The 2011 Blu-Ray is irrelevant now. If you want George's CGI additions, check the Disney+ version or the 4K Blu-Ray.

Obi is old but still a master, I'd say it's supposed to be like an old fashioned samurai-duel (esp. given Lucas's inspiration from Kurosawa), not wasting as much energy and sizing each-other up more while building up to a quick, conclusive blow
dangerously based
This. Go watch anime instead. Macross Frontier just got a theatrical release in the states.
Based Macross chad.

Thank you, Sir Guinness.

goddamn weebs are so embarrassing. might as well just skip the anime and tell him to cut his wiener off
there was a time when i still would have recommended 1977 star wars, but the new sequels and prequels have ruined every ounce of the film. every line has been retconned. every interaction is fricking moronic now. every motivation is bullshit. plot points and backstories are dogshit and confounding. characters you once thought were neat or interesting or human are now just "black dude who cheated at cards" or "white guy named solo because he was alone". mystery and fantasy story ideas are now just bacteria. jedi that ruled the galaxy for 1000s of years just suddenly lost all power in one single day. despite being superpowered with the ability to read minds.
any number of the stupid shit can and will come back to ruin your enjoyment of this film. just abandon it and watch something else.
I very much understand people who don't like Star Wars due to the massive, oversaturated brand it's become. The thing I always say in response is that I 100% agree, but viewed in a vacuum the original 3 are just some fun space action films from the late 70s to early 80s. It didn't need to be like this.
based based based
original 1982 VHS release
The truth is that it doesn't really matter. The changes are miniscule.
>The changes are miniscule.
Some are. Many aren't.
The biggest changes are Han shooting first and CGI Jabba right? They're pretty irrelevant to the whole overaching thing, and definitely aren't going to make or break a new person's enjoyment.
jabbas scenes not even in the original version it was cut out
Defenders of the Special Editions are morons, all of them.
That scene is fricking ridiculous
The Jabbas palace music is so fricking bad and that fuzzy guy just ruins the whole scene like what the frick were they thinking?
George thought the Jedi Rocks scene would be more fun than Lapti Nek and more befitting of a goodtimes place for slime and scum.
He thought wrong
I mean Jedi Rocks is arguably more exuberant, but Lapti Nek is less cringey as a song.
I kind of want to see this now though
>NOOOOOO
It’s amazing how little George understands these movies decades later
brainlet take
Hi George
KOO NEE TAAAAAY
I feel like George is legit autistic which is both his charm but also sometimes his downfall. He put the Vader NOOOO in ROTJ because he seems to believe in a "Tell don’t show" type of storytelling.
Yeah honestly if he didn’t go back and edit the OT I’d like him a lot more, he’s fantastic at world building and I really respected him in the 80’s and 90’s for standing up to film censorship.
Not to mention how sloppily done some of the changes are. Greedo shooting first is one thing, but the 2004-2011 releases also had messed up colors like Vader’s saber being pink and it phasing through Luke’s saber, well as the 2004 sound mix having reversed channels and sounding weaker compared to the 1997 sound mix.

>everyone all over the galaxy instantly knows that the emperor is dead somehow and the rest of the empire has just vanished for some reason

the little vietcong bears playing with and using the helmets of the stormtroopers as instruments really enhances it for me, I imagine some of the imperial troops ended up becoming food for the fur covered terrors
Harmy
The latest release, for George's true vision
Harmy's are all on archive.org, 720p, but still great. I wonder if there even are 1080p despecialized editions.
4k77/79/83 are scanned from film reels.
English?
4k77 is the codename for A New Hope that was scanned from the "original" rolls of celluloid film.
4k79 is Empire Strikes Back and 4k83 is Jedi.
4k80, there was no sw released in 79
I want it
garbage hack butcher job
this never happened, the final cut of the negative was altered for the Special Editions before 4k was even invented
Star Wars "fans" really are moronic
>this never happened, the final cut of the negative was altered for the Special Editions before 4k was even invented
Except those project don't work of a negative or claim to do so, they're working off 35mm film reels meant for theatrical release. that people have managed to find laying around.
The moron here is you.
>4k
>invented
are you actually moronic
Is this a weird troll or are you this stupid?
Here's links to D+77, a project that takes the new HDR bluray rips and uses frames from the project 4k releases to recreate the original theatrical version.

Yeah I'm trying to find seeded torrents of the despecialised versions but can't find any working ones except these 720p Harmy versions

Harmy's is also up for DDL on archive.org if you have trouble finding it elsewhere
That's odd, these all have a decent amount of seeders last I checked. Maybe check your torrent settings?
Harmy's despecialized editions are only in 720p. He's been working on a new edition since forever but doesn't update unless he's made significant progress. Despecialized are fine, I had them a while ago but they're been effectively replaced thanks to the people behind team negative doing these 4k scans.
I was able to download harmy's no problem, I'll give the 4k releases another shot tomorrow. It's funny, I was checking to make sure the harmy's were good and I ended up just watching 20 minutes of a new hope. That movie really holds up.
thank you!
why did pepe let blue pepe kill him?
4k83
Wait, why is Disney+ different? What'd they do to that version that's different from the 2011 release?
D+ is in 4K
its the new 4k remaster with the added mcclunkey line
the frick is mcclunky?
what did it say before?
Nothing. In the original and special edition, blaster bolts started flying right after Han's "I'll bet you have" line.
He said something like:
>Reply to this post or you'll shrink for eternity.
McBlack person
Is this real wtf lol?
MACLUNKEY
oh wait that was the first one
The Disney+ versions are the cancelled (but finished) 3D conversions, but aren't in 3D. Only Phantom Menace was released in theaters.
Even Hayden looks embarrassed to be there
Any links for Harmy's 2.7? There's nothing on public trackers.
Any despecialized editions only, the new versions are disgusting
Whichever one doesn't have this thing
4k project version or despecialized it is then
Was still in the original
Not nearly as emphasized.
Why don't I remember it?
because it wasn't CGI and taking up the entire screen singing some godawful song george lucas wrote
You were busy jerking it to Leia and the green prostitute
because George had yet to rape your eyes with it while pretending he was making Spykids 3d
looks 1000x better than the cgi monstrosity as well
Not the first israeli characature in star wars honestly
>SW makes fun of israelites
>Jews take it over and shit in such a way that they kill the franchise while making banks.
How do israelites keep wining.
Yeah but it didn't get a 5 min solo in that one, also looked better.
The song Lapti Nek was also better; it sounds even better on the vinyl as it contains 80s reverb drums
Chose at random anon.
>nah bro Lucas is actually heckin based just look at Disney bro!
Go frick yourself
The one the artist wants you to see
4k77, 4k83, and when they finish cleaning up 4k80 are the only right way to watch.
When are 4k02 and 4k05 going to end up on torrent sites?
never, the film was rendered/mastered at 1080p
Yet intended for transfer to film because that's what every theater in the world still had at that point. The theatrical versions of Episodes II and III look significantly better than any home media release.
prequel autism literally knows no bounds does it
>intended for transfer to film
Might as well record your blurays to the VCR if you want to go that autistic
my dad had a copy of ROTS on reel and this is actually true. the film grain really made the movie look so much better than the digital releases. wish he never got rid of it
Incredible.
Here is a scanned trailer. Dont fall for redditlettermedia lies, this how it actually looked in theaters. Anyone who watched these movies at the theater remembers they looked great.
Goddamn, this looks delicious...
Yeah they did look a lot better in the cinema, especially TPM. The DVD transfers were complete shit.
Still Episode 2 and 3 do look worse than 1, no way around that
Where can I get the rest of this? It's fricking gorgeous.
context on this scene?
I haven't watched the old star wars in a long time, is this a scene where they showed adult anakin before vader with a random actor? i dont remember that tbh
Yeah basically.
>they showed adult anakin before vader with a random actor?
No, they showed the force ghost of 50yo Anakin after his death. Bringing back a 20something Anakin was really stupid, implying the last moments of his life (when he shows his face to Luke on the Death Star) were useless and not the cathartic conversion they were in the previous version.
there was no 4k print in 83
2k prints weren't even done until the DVD reissue in the prequel era
Rick Worley dabbed on all this garbage
Congratulations, you're moronic.
So how are they going to explain in Kenobi when Qui Gon's force ghost appears and Liam Neeson clearly looks old as shit compared to himself in Phantom Menace
Would have been kino if the scene took place at night
The 4K series is the best for a first viewing. Ignore contrarians, there's a reason Star Wars fans sperg out over the special editions.
REEEEEEEE WHEN THE FRICK IS 4K80 OUT
PAGE HASN'T BEEN UPDATED SINCE THEY FINISHED SCANNING THE LAST REEL IN FEBRUARY FRICK
Beta V3 is out. You'll have to stick with Harmy for now if you can't wait.
I can wait, but wish I knew how long I'd be waiting. I got a 4k tv nearly four years ago and i've been waiting this whole time for 4k80 to be done before I will watch all the rest
>I know more about Star Wars than George Lucas!
It has nothing to do with "knowing more." It's just about a subsequent version being worse.
I think he should be able to do whatever he wants with his film and release his definitive version, but he cannot do that while destroying cinema history.
the original still looks the best lmao
1980 looks like shit. Do GenXgays really?
Basically imagine if Lucas specialized both trilogies with today's rendering.
The special editions are Georges last stable builds .
Some like the earlier builds
Some like the last stable before Disney
Some like the Disney updates .
The 2011 Blu ray one was based on the DVDs which had rather saturated and sometimes mistimed colors (ie Vaders saber being pink). The 2019 Disney+ one was a 4K transfer Lucas was working on in 2012 when converting the movies to 3D. It went back to using the 1997 SE as a base, so the colors were less saturated.
>that pic
but why? What necessitated changing the shape of the right building?
Lucas just does things...
Only contrarians would choose that drunk looking moron, even if he was in the original film
Darth Vader was played by pic related which is closer to what prequel Anakin looks
>drunk looking moron
Christensen looks a little rapey but he doesn't look drunk.
are there any versions that keep the cloud city changes? those are actually cool
When I watch the OT, I use Harmy's for 4 and 6 while using the Special Edition for 5
For some reason, the changes made for ESB are a lot less incongruent and intrusive
I prefer original for all but I definitely agree that 5 has the least intrusive special edition. Cloud City looks so much fricking better it's insane.
Agreed, ESB was definitely hit the least by the changes, or at least in the least offensive ways. The changes to the background aren't nearly as noticeable (unless you put the two versions next to each other) as the shitty CGI aliens and stuff added into ANH and RotJ
disney+ because it's moronic to put any more effort into this dumb series than that
Any link for the Harmy releases in 1080p?
I'm almost certain the Harmy releases only exist in 720p so you're either gonna have to settle for that or dedicate the drive space for the Team Negative1 4k scans.
They aren't even close to being the same thing you absolute fricking cretin, Star Wars is a timeless epic that just so happens to be set in space and doesn't deserve to be compared to progressive goyslop propaganda or The Expanse.
the video games are better
I wish we could see Mike Verta's painstaking remaster of Star Wars 77.
>Star Wars Special Edition
>Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
Same movie.
Only watch the special-special edition
why am i nostalgic for this fricking edit
>Force Ghost Steve Jobs : you are fired, Luke, get your shit and get the frick out of here!
Holy shit anon, thank you. You're doing god's work preserving these. Are these DNR'd or not?
D+77 and 80 are based on the new 4k hdr blu-ray releases, so any frames from project 4k were dnr'd and color corrected to be visually consistent. As far as the quality goes, it's seamless. I've watched them on a 4k tv and eat amazed at how professionally made they are. As for 4k83, it was made from a pristine 35mm scan, didn't have much in the way of heavy grain anyway.
Wonderful, thank you so much anon. My gf has never seen star wars and I don't want her to start with the special editions.
So whats the best version d+77 or 4k77?
The D+/4k Blu-Ray version if you don't care about the special edition changes, 4k77 if you do.

Btw, this guy is mistaken
The d+ version is the original movie with no cgi dinosaurs or other frickery. Only things that get transferred from the special edition is really miniscule stuff like matte lines getting cleaned up and so on.
I was mistaken about what the guy was asking, my bad
Despecialized edition
Harmy i think.
It doesn't matter too much, although Harmy is best.
Start with episodes 4,5 and 6 first then watch 1, 2 and 3
4, 5, 1, 2, a carefully curated list of Clone Wars episodes, 3, and lastly 6
Who are the 2 on the left? Thats not James Earl Jones
James Earl Jones is just the guy in Vader's suit, the guy in the OP is the same one who plays Vader in this scene
Oh, when i was a kid I always assumed it was Uncle Owen
So unironically you're moronic as a child and also to this day as a adult...still moronic? Impressive.
it's an English actor named Sebastian Shaw, you morons
Kek
>Sebastian shaw is darth vader
>the story ended with return of the jedi
Hayden is Anakin, deal with it
Next time remember to photoshop him in the death scene with Luke too and age him 20 years, George
I would have laughed by ass off if in the 2004 DVDs replaced Shaw entirely with an immaculate, just of the set of RotS looking Hayden
Imagine that done with a Rogue-One-plastic-Leia-tier deepfake quality
It was 2004, would have had to be a frame by frame stitch job
>It was 2004
Implying Lucas didn't leave a clause to do that later in his Disney contract
Blu Ray
This is where the fun begins
Does anyone have the version of this with English audio?
https://mega.nz/file/ZmA1RDob#AQBGOzqWZ2P3AjhRclToPhCyPV1-t3VO2iqxLlp_MOQ
This one says it's english but both audio tracks are in fricking czech! I just want a high quality rip of episode I with puppet yoda god damn it
just take the audio track from your version and combine them, should work, right?
Is there a 4k99? I want a version with puppet yoda
There's a 35mm print with a Czech audio track floating around
Yes that was linked here
, but isn't there an English one someone made?
The puppet in the theatrical version was actually complete ass
Is 4K80 finished yet?
Original cinema rip. Enjoy all that delicious atmosphere.
I don't see why everyone is so butthurt about this change Lucas made.
Anakin was what, 45 in ROTJ? Sebastian Shaw was in his late 70s and made no sense.
Christensen is based and so is Lucas. Frick off back to r*ddit
>Christensen is based
He's fricking awful
He was good in Jumper
kek
KEK
but he's hot and I relate to his creepy awkwardness
Because the edit at the end of ROTJ looks terrible and makes no sense, even though I enjoy the prequels George was a total hack when it came to all the OT edits and was rightfully shunned for ruining the original prints.
Because it's an attempt to shoehorn in prequel garbage into the OT, and I'm sorry to tell you anon but the prequels are fricking awful and Christensen was a big part of that
>Christensen is based
My man didn't even know he was being put in that special edition
There should be a cut where continuity is kept (like haydensen being the force ghost) and Lucas's edits are toned down otherwise
Where can I even get the 4K versions? Feels like they’re harder to find now.
Usenet or bust
myspleen
archive.org has them in 1080p mp4/m4v files if you don't mind a slow DDL
Is there somewhere that lists all the differences between the versions? Including the fan versions?
Thanks
Watch it on vinyl.
how
So there are no 35mm 4K cuts of the prequels in English? We only get that for the originals?
Lucas was adamant about filming digitally.
We could probably get one for Phantom Menace but the other two were shot on digital which is why they look more soulless in that regard.
astonishing sod ape
based morris poster
for me, its yaddle
yo, I wish yaddle would straddle my duh
get that green dickridin machine on my midichlorian dispenser
she be slobbin on my knob so hard I call her the green gobblin, yuh
on that wrinkly frogperson face my nut never been denser
unironically time machine
Do people watch anything other than Harmy on this board?
The 4K rescans are also a quality option. Either is good.
The last approved Lucas version.
Anything else is incomplete or some horrible fan edit designed to convey what they think star wars is instead of what the artist himself thinks it is.
Disney+ is the true director vision, watching anything else is non-canon.
So where are the links to 4k99, 4k02, and 4k05?
don't exist yet, mostly just trailers, but it seems like some based 'tists have gotten their hands on at least czech reels of one of them
