What shows have been better than Sons of Anarchy since the series ended? Talking just tv series, so excluding docuseries.

Does it get better? I watched the first season or two and then got bored.
No. The concept is interesting but it literally goes nowhere the entire first season and then spirals straight into the shitter.
I kind of figured that's where it was going. It seemed to be a show that created drama not from external sources, but by the characters making increasingly bad decisions and fucking themselves over.
You might even say it was a tragedy.
Unsatisfying is what I call it.
>the characters making increasingly bad decisions and fucking themselves over.
If they had showed them all smoking meth at least once an episode it would actually explain their idiotic behavior perfectly.
This. Characters just getting more and more retarded and not in the fun way.
>oh my god, why does Ophelia go in the lake and drown?
>ugh, why did Hamlet stab Polonious?
What hasn't been better? Sons of Anarchy was as retarded as Jackie boy's saggy pants.
I dropped it after the season where they go to ireland. maybe its different if you watched it when it was still airing
We need to all be honest: it was terrible in retrospect.
I tried to watch a few reruns recently; unwatchable.
In comparison, I've made it through Breaking Bad a few times since, even if I had to use ff through some lagging bits (Marie).
I can rewatch Sons if I skip the Ireland part. I can't make it at all through Breaking Bad even a second time. It was great the first time around, but it's way too slow for reruns.
all of them. sons of anarchy was shit. i somehow watched the entire series but only because i was already balls deep in it. the season they go to ireland is one of the worst things i've ever seen. kurt sutter is a hack.
the only reason i watched it was the shield being a GOAT program and SoA isn't even half as good.
Comments like this suggests you barely, if at all, understand the serial tv medium. Serial television veers towards the absurd or caricaturesque almost inherently by virtue of its form, owing to the fact that serial television is typically crafted to be long running, and so the injection of motorcycle club (MC) culture into the narrative template established by Hamlet (arguably the greatest play in the Western canon) winds up being perfect and builds tonal metacommentary as it progresses through multi-season arcs and ultimately concludes with the sacrifice and martyrdom of Jackson Teller.
It still wasn't good tho.
No MC Content will ever come close to this Shakespearean masterpiece. BRAVO KURT
American MC would like a word
American MC has all the gravitas of Spinal Tap with none of the intelligence.
It's definitely not an accident that potentially the best entry or one of the best entries in the MC content genre takes heavy inspiration from maybe the best play in the Western canon.
>prison rape scene
>peg bundy starts playing
Jesus Christ
>compulsive masturbator guy
Mayans is better.
Latest Season was better than the previous ones. It felt more like Sutter/SOA and less like a mexican soap.
>Nobody liked Ireland
Is this an American thing?
As the country has changed rapidly, "Americans" have forgotten that Americans had a period of loving Ireland, St. Patrick's Day, Irish culture, etc...
>"Americans" have forgotten that Americans had a period of loving Ireland, St. Patrick's Day, Irish culture, etc...
False. I love Ireland (I'm mostly descended from Irish), but hated the story line in SOA in Ireland.
Not saying that's the reason you don't like that part of SoA necessarily. But it's weird how the Irishism basically disappeared overnight in the country.
I don't think it's gone, it's just overshadowed by homosexual pedophile worship. St. Patrick's Day is a still a big night for 911 calls.
