Average movie. I expected nothing and was entertained enough to not regret the watch. Aliens themselves were the coolest part of the movie but sometimes it felt forced in the way they made them feel more animalistic. Would've been creepier without the animalistic calls and being in plain sight so often.

Are you actually moronic? Do you even know what we're talking about right now?

it's not even bad enough to hold a conversation on. it's a mostly forgettable flick with a oddly attractive lead. the most interesting part of the movie was the time I spent trying to work out if i want to frick her or not.

The way you keep using "like" in the way a middle school girl uses it definitely contributes to your general confused demeanor. Combine that with your strange and barely-relevant ramblings into segues about things like the meaning of the word clever, your insistance that I'm somehow pulling a sneaky on you, plus the way all your posts read like you're thinking out loud accidentally and baby, you've got a recipe for a really, really confused sounding moron kek

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAanon you are literally tricking me into being(seeming) confused. How do (you) think anything but? Like I didn't think I was confused and I thought that you were saying I was confused to make me get confused by trying to find what you think I was confused about, but then later I just asked you what you thought it was just incase it wasn't a trick, but it was all a part of your plan. You wanted me to ask that shit because now, ONLY NOW, you can say I'm confused and actually have a reason. But anon let me ask you this: What the frick was I confused about before I asked you what you thought I was confused about? See, your little "victory" was very short lived because in reality, the english language doesn't get you victories. It's like the thing with the unliftable rock. God would make an unliftable rock and lift it anyways because he isn't held back by the limitations of the english language and what is literally possible. And that's proof that you can't "win" by getting me to say something like that. That's called an "Aha!" moment and it used to be common knowledge on Cinemaphile that it's not a win. Idk why it's not anymore.

      >"ayys were the coowest part"
You have zero taste or this is the first movie you have ever seen in your life, because they did nothing that wasn't overdone as hell. The noises they make are the same stock sound effects every movie since the 1600s use for aliens, their movements are just bugshit, something we see all the time both in movies and irl. They ripped off Alien, Dark skies, Signs, Aliens in the Attack and probably every other ayy movie ever made. I mean they literally had scenes taken right from each of those. Probably stole scenes from seven thousand other ayy movies I never saw. Grays are no longer alien in any way, instead they are now just bugs. You can just go outside and see this same shit. They ruined the grays and turned them into every day irl shit! Why do you tolerate movies like that when you can just be alive instead? Also the ayys turning out to not even want to hurt her was so gay. Just... so gay... They remove everything about the grays that makes them what they are and replace them with irl shit anon! I can't stress that enough. What is the point of ayys if they act/move/sound like things from earth?

Could explain why the Greys acts like stupid animals BUT humans are shown to not have the same downsides by the end of the movie. Doesn't really check out

          Anonymous

That isn't really true. Both the greys and possessed humans act similarly animalistic when hunting the main girl. Then you see the greys act calm and curious when the girl is on their ship, showing that the parasites are capable of being more when they need to be. It's clear that while the parasites are prone to an aggression that doesn't always fit the bodies of their hosts, they are easily capable of mimicking their hosts natural states of being as well.

But it wasn't all a dream at all; in fact, the dream-like sequence was to show what the infected people or aliens saw. A perfect world is the point of the movie. The aliens are all infected and help the parasite take over, and once they do, the creatures live in a blissful dreamlike state. Honestly, I like most of the movies the guy made, but nothing happens, and most of it is completely up to the viewer to make up the reasons behind what happened. It has been fun, I suppose, to an extent, but I'm just happy they showed the aliens instead of it being another "spooky creature you never see" shitfest that is plaguing movies as of late. Or you could take it as a woman suffering a psychotic break then killing herself at the end, ya know whatever floats your boat.

You... you thought it was all a dream? This movie was written so even 13 year olds could understand it hahahahahaha

I knew nothing of what it was going in outside of a webm of the first break in which is why I even bothered to watch it. The instant I saw it was an alien my mind tapped out the rest of the movie because that was the worst option the reveal could have been to me. I was genuinely hoping it was some sort of demon or ghost, particularly considering the whole trauma stuff they introduce at the start.
I know it wouldn't have done much but why in the world was she so averse to locking anything? The alien during round one got back in somehow after she locked the door, did she really ignore locking her bedroom window? It's not like anything else was broken. I also don't understand why in round 2 she didn't use the boxcutter until her clone came after her, she was literally going to die in her mind and decides to make noise opting for scissors lying around instead.

The whole Maude stuff also adds nothing to the movie at all, I have no idea why she had to have this trauma stuff. It basically just made the entire entire experience into a deadly therapy session where a bunch of parasites are willing to let her go because...they saw she accepted her grief and doesn't need to be made happy through force? So the parasites are actually a good thing in making people into mindless, killer zombies because they want to make everyone happy? She's fine with being seemingly the only normal human with the rest of humanity overtaken by these things?

It was just a disappointing movie the entire way.

          >So the parasites are actually a good thing in making people into mindless, killer zombies because they want to make everyone happy?
No, but she is fine with it because her mind has snapped. All her loved ones are gone and this is the only way she can pretend to live normally with any human companionship. She's been broken enough to just grin and bear it because theres nothing else. Not really a head scratcher.

            Moose

Fair enough, that was my general thinking about it that she just accepted it because there's nothing else she could do, it just felt super weird to see her being friendly with all of them instead of indifferent or begrudgingly interacting with them.

              Anonymous

Because she was an outcast for 10/15 years or so after killing her friend anon, The parasite world is nothing short of paradise for her compared to her pre-invasion life. Why would she not enjoy herself? she killed a few ayylmaos and gets literal slaves? Win-win-win for her.
