Wow how do you look at yourself in the mirror you lying dickless little toad? Roger Eggers is all about ambiguity and allowing the audience to interpret his work. He would not and did not say that the message of The Witch is “you either are born a witch or not, you cant really become one, the point is basically that she was a witch all along”

When Adam and Eve were expelled from the garden of Eden God turned his back on them and their descendants for all eternity. Eventually he sent his son to suffer and die for their sins and show them the way to heaven. Jesus brought the word of God to humanity and now it is up to humanity to listen to that word and live a life of virtue in-line with the scripture. God watches and listens silently, and only accepts the purist and most deserving spirits into paradise. On the other hand, the devil is everywhere. He tempts you always, is always ready to speak to you, and can and will take anyone who isn’t careful and give them the hollow and agathokakological gifts of worldly pleasure in return for their everlasting soul.

      >When Adam and Eve were expelled from the garden of Eden God turned his back on them and their descendants for all eternity.
YHWH favors Noah (a descendant of Adam and Eve), Abraham, Moses. He specifically talks about his people always turning against him, and being stiff-necked... but then he always helps them when they turn back to him in the stories. If he abandoned them, I don't think this would be happening.

      >Eventually he sent his son to suffer and die for their sins and show them the way to heaven.
Heaven is not a place. Heaven refers to "the heavens" because YHWH is an Israelite/Canaanite storm/sky god. There is also no afterlife in the sense of a paradise given in the stories.

      >Jesus brought the word of God to humanity
I'm really not so sure about this. Moses, Elijah, Isaiah, etc certainly did. YHWH also spoke directly to many other people and appeared to them directly. Moses and YHWH even spoke face to face several times. YHWH doesn't directly appear as a character in the New Testament as he does in the Talmud. His presence is inferred and sort of attributed to many things. The message Jesus provides is also much, MUCH different from what came before in many, many cases.

      >and now it is up to humanity to listen to that word and live a life of virtue in-line with the scripture.
The scripture says to make burnt offerings daily, but Paul pointed out how useless that was.
It also says that you must make offerings for sins; and once a year, the entire tribe must put all their sins on a goat and kill it to atone for the year. There are other examples - don't eat pork and other dietary rules, but Jesus says it's not what goes into a man's mouth that defiles him (rather what comes out of it).

        >God watches and listens silently, and only accepts the purist and most deserving spirits into paradise.
YHWH listens to prayers yes, but there is no paradise after living. There are no pure and deserving spirits. YHWH rewards people during their lives for honoring him and the rules he gives people and following his instructions to the tee - but there is no afterlife or gold star upon dying or paradise in the stories.

        >On the other hand, the devil is everywhere. He tempts you always, is always ready to speak to you, and can and will take anyone who isn’t careful and give them the hollow and agathokakological gifts of worldly pleasure in return for their everlasting soul.

There is no "devil". There is no "satan". The entity appears in 2-3 stories and always with the definite article "the" in the form "hashatan" which just means "the accuser" or "the adversary". In the context of Genesis, the adversary or "bad guy" is just a plot device to trick Eve. In Job, there's another mention of the "bad guy" who just is a plot device to get YHWH to frick with Job. But it's not the same thing, and there is no specific entity it is referring to.

    >I didn’t have a lot of gas in the tank, really,” Ineson says of sparring with the beast, who weighed about 50 pounds more than him. “He was horrible. Really, really horrible. From the moment we set eyes on each other it was just kind of hate at first sight. He had two modes: chilling out and doing nothing, or attacking me.

    >On the fourth day of filming, Charlie rammed his serrated horns into Ineson’s ribs, dislodging a tendon. “Everything hurt,” Inerson recalls. “I spent the rest of the five-week shoot on painkillers.

    >In the end, several elaborate Black Phillip sequences had to be abandoned.

    >Despite having gotten the shot, Eggers says he would not work with Charlie again. But Anna Kilch, Charlie’s wrangler, insists Charlie did the job and did it well: “It was a difficult shot, but he did it perfectly quite a few times so we were really happy with him.”

when I was a kid (lol) I used to visit my aunt's farm in the summer. She had a bunch of small stocky goats fricking about, bullying all the weaker animals (poultry, cats, dogs). We used to spend whole afternoons just chasing after them, ramming them into the grass, baiting them into an ambush with a nice branch. They never got tired, endless fun. I hope I can have a small pack of goats one day.
