i after browsing 2013 Cinemaphile archives, its clear a lot of people were not excited for batfleck.

I don't know if you're aware of it, but Guardians of teh Galaxy is an offense to the comics books, James Gunn changed it and made it worse, the live action version of it is a sloppy, lazy version
the guy he cast for superman is a homosexual too, he dropped cavill for some twink. You can tell by the casting he's going to reboot DCU into a bunch of light hearted comedies full of quipy shit.
He's going the Kathleen Kennedy of seeing how disastrously he can soil the brand before they fire him. If he does it right, the brand will become so toxic that he never gets replaced because no one else will take the job
It's Feige's style of doing capeshit, Gunn learned all the worst things from him, choosing a famous actor that nobody wants in the role is one of the keys
