>connery: really established the character, has some classics
>moore: generally lighter and sillier ("bond goes into space!") but looked back upon fondly
>dalton: only two films and they're both a bit dark after moore, dalton is the sleeper best bond
>brosnan: took bond into modern times, his first three are decent, die another day is a noticeable step down, goldeneye is competitor for best bond film ever made
>craig: neutered the character a bit, films feel more generic, casino royale and skyfall are his only good ones, CR in particular
Since you've started with brosnan you might as well watch all his films, then maybe go back and watch some / all of connery, then dalton or moore, and end with craig so you're up to speed for the next one. Chuck lazenby in there wherever

Also, worth noting that there's two James Bonds which is the character from Connery to Brosnan being the same person with the same life and Craig being a non-canon imposter.

I've watched all the james bond movies up until quantum of solace and the only thing that bothered me about them was his plot armor. The silly romances were stupid but still fine.
Bond has lasted for 60 years because the movies are everything men want in their media (cool guy protagonist to identify with, real world setting, guns, girls and action with finesse and style) it's more or less capeshit without being capeshit. It's a perfect formula and they pissed it away with Craig who appeals to no man.
