What no pussy does to a homie.
He was a racist old timer.
No he wasn't
He was simple, like the brass wanted.
Tarantino put in a weird out of place racist rant about breeding black horses or something that didn't make sense in the context of his character.
For me, it's the weird out of place discussion Tarantino put in where Denzel Washington has to pretend he knows anything about the Silver Surfer or who the frick Jack Kirby or Moebius are
Incredible acting from him there, should've won an Oscar for that scene alone tbh
It's hilarious how easy the Tarantino lines are to detect
i never thought this part about horses was some hidden crypto-racism, i just thought they both like horses and scott wanted to show that hackman was a hack
The funny thing is that almost everything about the horses said is wrong.
They're not from Spain or Portugal. They're from Austria and were trained and bred at "The Spanish Riding School" there. They're white/gray at birth and throughout life.
Sneed gritty Live Action reboot
Most emotionally stable boomer
Pretty sure he's silent gen.
He did nothing wrong. But neither did Denzel. That's what makes the movie so good.
I think it was a combination of him being a war mongerer, wanting action, wanting to keep being the boss and not liking being the old guy and being replaced. Then they had to slip in a selective type of racist like remark at the end that came out of nowhere for extra levels of homosexualry.
This movie sucked, and I'm tired of people pretending it doesn't.
Its Amerilard propaganda. Distracts from all the wars they lost lol
filtered. both denzel and hackman in their prime. viggo fricking mortensen and a bunch of "that guy" supporting actors. it's an edge-of-your-seat thriller. perhaps it was a bit too cerebral for you?
The script is awful and the plot feels so tired and worn out.
The script is tight and the movie is well-paced. It was exciting cause it used a familiar trope, but only as a setting for the inter-personal drama between an old, battle-hardened, experienced captain and a young, book-learned, up and coming commander. the generational tension/clash is the point.
hunter attracts all the young people to him by making pop culture references, while the captain is so old, he's older than star trek. then you have viggo, who is torn between his friend/doing what's right and following orders/doing what is lawful.
it's a character drama, a stage play set on a submarine. I guess you didn't understand it.
>the generational tension/clash is the point.
You forgot the RACE part of tension, which was the real main point of the film
>white old captain vs young black uppity "new" captain
>You forgot the RACE part of tension
just because there's a white dude and a black dude doesn't mean there's racial tension. that's a total red herring, at no point is either of them racist. only racist is james gandolfini, but I think that's just him adlibbing and the director just going with it.
>The script is tight
Tarantino worshipping homosexual. The script is crap and has all the annoying features of a Tarantino film mixed with all the worst parts of a stage play as you so poignantly mentioned.
Tarantino isn't that good.
you know that tarantino didn't write the script, only slightly edited it, right?
Yeah, and it shits up the whole thing.
I actually had no idea Tarantino participated at all.
Once you know, you can smell every piece of dialogue he touched.
smells like feet
nah it's litty
It's stupid but highly entertaining, except for the Tarantino dialogue
Alabama fans are well known to be mentally unstable. A few years back, two female Alabama fans got into an argument over Alabama losing a game, with one of them saying the other one wasn't upset enough. When she laughed and said it wasn't a big deal, the other woman pulled out a gun and murdered her. These weren't fans of opposing teams. They weren't drunken guys having a fight. It was two women who were both fans of the same team, Alabama, arguing over the correct amount of grief over their team losing a game. It ended in murder.
Around Alabama fans, never relax.
I remember when the 'Bama fan poisoned some popular trees at their rival, Auburn. He called in to an Auburn radio show and bragged about it. It was pretty hilarious.
what race were they?
asking for potential masturbatory purposes only
You already know the answer.
Thank you for demonstrating what ignorant loudmouths Alabama fans are.

>ROLL DAMN TIDE
You have no source, Auburn-Black person
Having had the misfortune of being transferred to Huntsville for two years, I can testify that it's not only Auburn fans who think you guys are insane.
butthurt Georgia/Auburn troon
Why would anyone from Georgia be butthurt about Alabama? Kirby has Georgia running on all cylinders while Alabama has a coach that was at a community college a few years ago.
butthurt Auburn/Georgia troon
those programs will never have dynasties
cope and seethe
>AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA GONNNA NOOOOOOK!! GONNNNNA NOOOOOOK!!!
>red hat
he votes for trump
Captain Hackman did nothing wrong. Denzel was just too much of a pussy, like that gay at the start of Wargames, or the IRL Russian guy who wouldn't push the button. Frick those weak b***hes.
Someone explain the horses' dialogue to me, I haven't seen the movie
Is Moebius' silver surfer really that bad compared to Jack Kirby's?
everything moebius touched is kino
>Screenplay by Tarantino
How the frick didn't I know this? This actually blew my mind to know. I have never seen the movie but i'm an unapologetic Tarantino fanboy.
He couldn't get control of the first mate. Uppity first mates are a pain in the ass. They need to do wtf they're told and stfu. The Captain is The Captain. That is all. Carry on.
>t.
He had to get it on. The Russians were makin a move.
had the mindset of a hammer and not a swiss army knife
Denzel ripped Tarantino a new butthole on the set for using Black person in his movies.
>During the filming of Tony Scott’s Crimson Tide (1995) starring Washington and Gene Hackman, the Malcolm X star took offense to scriptwriter Quentin Tarantino’s dialogue which he deemed as racist, even going so far as to publicly confront him about it on set. From there, the relationship deteriorated until an interview with GQ in 2012 revealed what led to the pair burying the hatchet.
>Over the course of a conversation with GQ in October 2012, Denzel Washington revealed a few matters that led him to rethink his feud with the Django Unchained director:
“My oldest daughter—I see her digging her independence. She doesn’t like me talking about it, but she’s working with Tarantino. Isn’t that interesting how life goes?… I buried that hatchet. I sought him out ten years ago. I told him, “Look, I apologise.” You’ve just gotta let that go. You gonna walk around with that the rest of your life? He seemed relieved. And then here we are ten years later, and my daughter’s working with him. Life is something.”
>I forgive you for using the n-word in your fiction films because you hired my daughter for your film in which the record for n-words said is broken.
It makes you think. Also damn nepotism, I didn't know she was Denzel's daughter
He did nothing wrong.
And nothing right.
Why the frick is Tarantino involved in this movie anyway?
scott & quentin duo make guaranteed kino
>Why the frick
Because him and someone else wrote a screen play and a studio picked it up and a director got attached to it? How is this news to you?
