I stopped watching halfway through season 3 and every photo and video from the later seasons reminds me of why I stopped.
Is this Walking Dead?
yes
I thought it was Fallout at first glance kek
>I thought it was Fallout at first glance kek
I'm two hours into fallout and so far its good. Well worth a watch. Maybe it goes to shit but so far its been one of the better things I have seen in years.

"Should we include a storyline from the comics in our comic book adaptation?"
They look cheep as frick
Is it nitty picky to ask who are the graphic designer and armor decorator they keep alive in the apocalypse? Like you don’t need those Batman gauntlets or red knee braces
Creating a "religion" of sorts with uniform symbols and ideas is a powerful survival tool. If the show were accurate, the comic for that matter, many new religions would exist.
The gauntlets were used a bunch of times in the show. Obviously very useful.
The Commonwealth has all kinds of "useless" people doing "useless" jobs. They have Lawyers, Government Aides, and even a fricking bakery. They're shown to be an extremely safe community with over 50,000 citizens who are basically able to forget that the zombie apocalypse happened.
>many new religions would exist.
The Whisperers and The Reapers fit the bill nicely. Even the Saviors are kinda religious with their reverence for Negan, especially after he lost.
Let me guess - it's a commune situation where there's a bunch of high class people who get everything and a bunch of low class people who work for them, and the place falls apart when the low class revolts and kills them all but then zombies appear.
Pretty close actually. They have a hierarchy where people who had "important" (bureaucrats) pre-apocalypse jobs are given more rights and privileges than people who had actual important pre-apocalypse jobs. People are assigned jobs that usually exactly match their old job and they have salaries and operate using USD all arbitrarily determined by the Governor.
The show plays up a class revolt but it's mostly fluff/filler because the real conflict is between Governor Milton and her second Lance Hornsby (the unarmored man in OP's picture) who is using the Commonwealth military for his own purposes to try and create his own small empire out of the few remaining smaller communities that haven't yet integrated into the Commonwealth.
Lance gets found out and imprisoned but he's able to get some people loyal to him to create a panic by murdering people inside the Commonwealth and letting them turn. Governor Milton's son gets killed as a result of this and then she turns into r/communism's perfect idea of a villain and just want to kill all the poor people.
Season 11 fricking sucked.
Yeah I basically just gave the plot for Land of the Dead, so...you know.
If you want something even more awful its fear the walking dead seasons 4-8 which are truly truly awful and I also watched them. Unbelievable what they did with the golden egg but I would not go these with the latest one, those who live with rick and michonne, watche dthe first one and straight away knew it had the same aids. The daryl dixon miniseries is ok but that's about it
worth a watch
Feat the walking dead 1-3
The walking dead 1-5
The Daryl Dixon miniseries.
The rick bridge scene
And that's it. Do not bother with any of the rest
The ones who live was okay. It feels more like a prologue for a Season 12 that will never happen. Rick dying at the end of the comics actually meant something and it was unironically profound. Instead I guess he's happily ever after with Shane's daughter and his mutt son.
I really liked Season 9 of the main show. The entire bridge arc was kino and even after Rick was gone the rest of the season was still really good. Especially after how shit 7 and 8 were. I was genuinely surprised at how well they salvaged the show. But then the back half of 10 and 11 fricked it all up again.
5 > 6 > 9 > 4 > 1 > 2 > 10 > 7 > 11 > 3 > 8
>Pretty close actually
You say that like it's a surprise. Shit has been done to death
It is because TWD is unironically one of the most wildly misunderstood and lied about shows of all time. The supposed "TWD Formula" literally only happens twice in an entire 11 season show.
Bakeries would be pretty useful to help keeping people happy and keeping morale up
Why won't any zombie movies or TV shows follow the events of survivors while shit is hitting the fan? They keep flash forwarding to the post apocalypse and the plot inevitably winds up ignoring the zombies and becoming about overthrowing Evil Human Organization(tm) in the form of raiders or whatever the frick the OP picture is supposed to be and the moral is always "humans are the real monsters!". The first 30 minutes of Dawn of the Dead and TLOU1 are the best parts.
Probably budget constraints. Zombie outbreaks in tv/film are always catastrophic. Big crashes, explosions, effects, etc. It's just easier to start in the woods and feature a zombie every now and again.
>Why won't any zombie movies or TV shows follow the events of survivors while shit is hitting the fan?
Because zombies could never take over the world giving the plot confinements of most tv/movie adaptations. The closest was World War Z with the running zombies. Shows like TWD and its spinoffs will only show the initial couple of days of the zombie outbreak, and then fast forward, because every civilized military on earth would be able to wipe them out - especially before it becomes a worldwide outbreak.
I remember my friend who hated TWD saying the show was stupid because slow zombies would be the equivalent of if all 90 year olds with dementia came down with rabies. Would you be able to out run and outsmart them? Kek.
bullshit I am Legend did it right. It was some 12 monkeys virus shit that killed everyone and randomly made some people into monsters. Everyone gets the flu, F35s cant stop that.
>What the frick were they thinking?!
I have no idea. I watched all of that show and just can't understand what they did after about season 5. Cripples, gays, every minority possible and endless endless trite monologues about muh feelings. The only thing after the first few series worth time is the bridge scene. The only character you don't end up loathing is Daryl and that's simply because he does not say much. What a waste of a great setting and talent. Absolute shit.
to be fair, Zombies would stand no chance against soldiers with gear like this.
>EXPS33 optics
>no foregrip
cancelled
This is not even the 100th most stupid thing Walking Dead has done with firearms.
>franchise about zombies
>becomes a zombie franchise
pottery
>Mr. Grimes?
>I'm NWO
The worst thing about the expanded universe of TWD is how the Civic Republic undermines everything that the Commonwealth was supposed to represent.
The Commonwealth is supposed to be the pinnacle of apocalypse survival. They basically get to live "normally" and never even see a zombie for literal years.
Then the CRM makes them look like cavemen. The CRM might as well exist in an alternate dimension.
I see no problem with both communities individually existing, its the fact that TWD writers were too dumb to ever explain how both places existed, which is the problem however.
I stopped watching when Negan was introduced. Don't get me wrong, Negan is fun on his own but it became so tiresome that apparently 90% of humans in WD are morally bankrupt psychos that like to torture people.
>Negan
>morally bankrupt
Sure, he calls it justice, an eye for an eye. He still revels in killing people and making them feel like shit by physical and mental torture. That's not exactly ethical in any way. You can deal justice without going all Joker about it.
I mean Rick and Co. literally killed 50+ of Negan's guys and Mercenary work they had very little second thoughts about. Some of them while they were sleeping.
