there was a porn drought for a few years until this issue has a whole creampie.
Truth is Larsen will just see porn art on twitter and want to try doing it too.
During the "porn drought" was it worth reading? Was it interesting? And the "porn drought", what issues were those? I'd like to know for how long it went.
>Erik isn't a fast artist like say, Fred Perry.
uh, I don't know if you know who you're talking about. Larsen is infamous for being FASTby cape artist standards, even pre-Image wise. Perry is faster, I'm sure, but Larsen can crank out an issue a month regularly and does dozens of layouts in a day. Granted it shows in the more roughness of the art, which is a style he embraces.
At this point it's soap opera. So if you're invested in the world it might be interesting, maybe not so much for a new reader. The infamous cumshot issue was back in 2017 or so, there was still some sex and nipples but nothing as explicit as that for a while.
For the 1st 100 or so issues it's about amnesiac dragon man superhero who is also a cop. Now it's loosly a slice a life book about his son, who has a family of his own and occasionally breaks format to whatever Eric Larsen wants to draw
>the Sonic/Image crossover
It's mighty generous calling that issue a crossover, since all Sonic did was stand next to those characters in different locations for a single panel each.
Wasn't that special basically just Ken Penders promoting his own original Image series (which only lasted one issue) for 48 pages, while shoving in Sonic characters and some obligatory cameos of Image characters to justify its existence?
The first 100 issues are fun, after that it declines in quality and coherence. I think he ran out of stories to tell long ago and is just filling pages now.
>The purest comic book in existence
Disqualified due not remaining in the same spirit throughout all of its run, in the beginning Larsen was actually trying to make a superhero comic, now it is just his soapbox for his fetishes and political commentary. Something like Calvin & Hobbes is more pure, it never changed its spirit.
>in the beginning Larsen was actually trying to make a superhero comic, now it is just his soapbox for his fetishes and political commentary.
Based, an improvement.
what
Max is Dragon’s Asian wife. She’s the lady in on OP’s cover.
Anon was just summarizing the last few years of Max in the comics.
Porn. Just porn.
It also had a Saturday Morning Cartoon.
Anything Larsen wants to draw that week.

>infamous cumshot issue
Have you seen the latest issue? If not, take a look then come back.
I wish, it would be more enjoyable than just spinning its wheel
a buff green guy that presuming does gay shit disguised as straight shit

I don't really read Savage Dragon but this isn't even the original right? It's like his son or grandson or some shit right?
It's his son. The grandkids are right there on the front, too.
You know how /misc/ likes to complain all comics are made by insane liberals? This one is ACTUALLY made by an insane liberal.
Yep, these two posts couldn’t be more complimentary than that.
It's an outlet for Larsen's fetishes and political takes. Literally. There's nothing else to it.
And to think to the Original Dragon appeared in the Sonic/Image crossover

Savage Dragon had a toyline and a Saturday morning cartoon.
And TMNT appeared in the Savage Dragon ongoing
And Hellboy
Wasn't that special basically just Ken Penders promoting his own original Image series (which only lasted one issue) for 48 pages, while shoving in Sonic characters and some obligatory cameos of Image characters to justify its existence?
Correct.

What the frick is this degenerate garbage?
The purest comic book in existence. 1 writer/artist and no one with the ability to say no because said creator owns the company

Calvin and Hobbes is sellout shit designed to sell car decals to redneck moms, it's inoffensive as a book can get
#268 is nothing just Larsen referencing himself from 30 years ago.
>in the beginning Larsen was actually trying to make a superhero comic, now it is just his soapbox for his fetishes and political commentary.
Based, an improvement.
So Savage Dragon is Sonichu and Erik Larsen in Chris-chan? Did he frick his mother in an issue?
