Just goes to show that it's all about delivery. His one liners are some of the worst ever, but the way he would throw them out was what made them funny. He was literally one of those dudes that could've read from the phone book and it would've been entertaining.
>he thinks delivery doesnt matter
It's a very social setting. Some people have a charisma and just "fit" right. It's not always just the joke. A lot of it is it coming across fluid and natural and fitting. Comedy requires some level of charisma. You can't just recite the same jokes and get the same effect when another person does it. At least in standup.
Is that the guy who's super monotone all the time?
See, I just looked it up, it is, I didn't even know the guy's name but I guessed who you were talking about and was right, that's how distinctive and memorable he is.
It’s different for everyone. I have made a room full of Irish people laugh But my jokes fall flat on anyone else. I can make any black, from africa, laugh. People who find me the funniest are people who are themselves good at making entire herds of normies piss and shid themselves. But I personally can not make normies even chuckle.
You’ve got to find people that find you naturally funny and capitalize on it.
None of the talmudvision comedians are funny. The only people that make me laugh are actual chuds types.
I said to my Doc, Doctor Vinnie Boombatz, I said: Doc, I wanna transition! I think I'm a lady! He hands me literature, a prescription for HRT and schedules a follow-up appointment! Then he says: I believe you, I'm here to support you and I respect your decision. No respect at all!
>I tell ya I get no respect at all, the other day I posted a thread on Cinemaphile about funny comedians and used my picture for the post >the first guy who replies said “you first OP” >no respect at all…

I feel the same way about a lot of comics. If you read Andrew Dice Clay jokes they fricking suck but it's all about how he presented them on stage
>american discovers the concept of comedic timing
I’m Norwegian
i accept your concession
i accept your concession
No you aren't. I am.
no way
Your obsession with Americans is comical.
>his one liners are some of the worst ever
Man, it was like 50 years ago. I can assure nothing you’ve said has ever been funny to a room of people.
>he thinks delivery doesnt matter

Steven Wright has no charisma and he's one of the most popular comedians of all time
He does, though. He has a unique and engaging personality because his delivery stands out. That's why people remember him to begin with.

Show them a funny cat video on tiktok and they'll smile very very quickly.
Even the most blackhearted aspie Cinemaphilener will smile at a cute cat video
Ever wonder why you can't have a decent thread about allegedly-supposedly-semi-partially-questionably-right-leaning Norm MacDonald anymore?
Ever wonder why every single innocuous thread regarding him seems to somehow go awry for some reason
Oh no, is it… le heckin conspiratino?
>"conspiracy" is when it's literally sitting right there in the open begging you to look at it
mk
No I never wonder about those two things. What's your ideal Norm thread? Just post after post quoting his jokes?
le acid tongued swedish german doghouse frank stallone
That's not a bad start.
In that case here's one of my favorite jokes about Uganda from Norm. Starts at 3:47 which I think the link leads too anyway.

Works for me.
uhhh because uh hahah
he's uhh actually not that funny and uh just relies on delivery?
