Whatever it is, it better fricking be in 4k.
i watch movies on my iphone
In 1080p, in 60fps, like a FRICKING MORON.
my phone has a resolution smaller than 1080p
lg c2 42"
>screenlet
65 incher here. The only downside is that moving it yourself is essentially impossible.
das rite
An LG c2 oled 77"
This but 65". Hands down the best TV I've ever owned. I'm moving soon and I'm already nervous about it.
My man.
Amazing TV.
Are you me? I have the exact same TV and moving it has caused me some serious concern. Wish I hadn't thrown out the box.
based, i have a 42 for my PC and getting the 77 for my living room when i move, it's so good
I don't own a TV. I come to Cinemaphile to get my opinions on tv.
I exclusively watch movies on RealPlayer on my Nokia N95, after which I send a signed photograph of me doing this to David Lynch.
why are they watching the tv side-on?
i know they have poor vision but are chinese basically blind?
your mom's
also have an LG dont care what anyone says truemotion is fricking awesome.
>truemotion
stop it
Actual moron
I dont watch tv or movies
I use half of my monitor to watch shit in 1080p, because 4k is a total scam.
GO FRICK YOURSELF.
GO
FRICK
YOURSELF
Does the truth hurt that much?
The Disney Wish trailer loses all of its artistic intent because DISNEY is stupid enough to upload up to 1080p, and YOUTUBE compresses the video quality even further to ABSOLUTE SHIT.
The problem there is dogshit compression, not 1080p as a format. There still isn't even a service that offers 4k in a passable bitrate, BDs are too small, streaming offers sub 1080p bitrates for "4k" content.
Sony Bravia claim lossless 4k streaming.
And I claim my semen prevents cancer, want to give me a blowjob?
I DO
No such thing exists
The BRAVIA CORE™ app is a video service included with eligible TV models. This app offers access to a range of new releases and classic films, including the largest IMAX® Enhanced movie collection, lossless UHD quality with Pure Stream™, and more!
"Pure stream" tops out at 80mbps, which is a fricking joke.
It is amazing how someone can come across as so unlikeable, even as an Anon.
It's not his fault you bought into corporate bullshit pillow-talk. Your TV is FINE, it's not doing the thing it claiming to do tho.
does it spy on you?
Just upgraded from a 2008 Samsung to this year's Sony X90L. Not generally a fan of local dimming because of the blooming but it looks decent on this one as long as peak luminance is set to the minimum (I don't want to go blind anyway) and you're looking straight on at the screen. Never getting an OLED after burning the screen on my PS Vita years ago. 4K doesn't really look any better than well-encoded 1080p even at 65", but HDR does a great job fighting off color banding.
The remote literally has a camera in it kek. Japanese businessmen get to stare at my ceiling and listen to me watching Godzilla movies. Tested out the Bravia Core app briefly and it looked pretty good for streaming, but I didn't go too deep into it. Mostly I'm excited to use it because they have the alternate IMAX matte for certain movies and I'm pissed next to nobody releases those versions on disc.
Sure, specifically, does Bravia Core spy and sell your data? I have an A90J. Does my remote also have a camera in it? It has a microphone, that's for sure. I'm going to remove it.
720p plasma that I also use as a monitor.
55 inch vizio smart tv. I wanted a 65 inch but it wouldn't fit in my room
I factually watch the very television in the OP's pic. No regrets, either.
>2023
>watching tv on anything but a tablet or phone
Lmao grandad haven’t you got to go collect your pension
>lg oled tv's
Watchng snowy landscapes and nature in documentaries on it have provided some of the most beautiful things I'ver ever seen.
would it be worth watching kinometique on a steam deck oled
you guys watch TV?
I watch 4k disks on my OLED, and I play PS5 on it. I do not watch actual live television aside from NFL.
>NFL
wtf is wrong with you?
frickin hand egg moron
>TV
no. Hook tv up to laptop, dl content to watch, and use it as a large monitor to do whatever I want with my computer
I haven't owned a TV since 2008
2008 Panasonic plasma
86" LG Nanocell from 2 years ago.
almost all advanced processing features are disabled
What's a TV?
Something new and exciting
Who the frick sits on the grass with a laptop or a tablet.
where's Mayli
LG C3 77
It’s amazing, shit looks so good.
a 1080 projector
I dont watch sports or play video games on a TV so I dont need high refresh rate or 4k.
60" Westinghouse 4k Smart TV
I use a 4K projector.
it's 4k too
LG C1 50 inch and A90J 83 inch
Pleb-tier budget 4k TV, watch pirated content/discs from my Xbox. Word to the wise: a good 1080p TV from 10+ years ago looks much better than a low-end 4K TV.
i dont watch the israelitebox
LG C1 48
75" Sony X90L
What I had before that was 55" Toshiba that was like 13 years old.
Wish good movies still came out. I want a new TV, but new movies fricking suck. I will eventually, but not until I have more room and won't piss off my neighbors with a sound system.
I’m in the same boat. My 65” is getting old now and is ancient in terms of tv tech (no local dimming, no full array led, no HDR, etc etc). I feel like I want to upgrade, but there’s also not anything worth upgrading for. Any kinos for this feel?
Projector quality isn't and can never be as good.
Yeah, the cinema's really not a way to watch anything.
>laughs in 4k 120 inch screen at the poors
Cinema tier protectors are decent. If you really spent $30k+ on a good projector I guess you're right.
if you didn't spend a minimum of 5k on a projector it's a shit projector. pic related is my Sony VPL-XW5000es.
>tfw $150 used 1080p Acer projector
it does the job
Movie theaers use microLED, pal. No longer are they using projectors, you fricking moronic boomer.
My LG C1 unironically looks better than my local cinemas
77'' Sony OLED a80j
I watch this still image on my 80" oled tv for several hours. lets just say it speaks volumes.
Have 55" LED. I really want to get OLED this time rather than LED. There's a 65" LG OLED on sale for $1,300, which I can afford. Or I could go with 70" LED for 800-1000. Is the OLED picture quality worth the extra 300? (I don't have room for 80" yet)
also, what's the difference between LG series? like B3, C3 C2 etc
Some of the latest mini-LED TVs are quite good, and some can go brighter than anything else on the market. OLED still has them beat on contrast and blacks, but it's a much smaller margin than it was a few years ago.
are mini-led and micro-led similar tech? or is micro some super expensive early adopter shit
whatever you get, dont buy an ips tv with no decent local dimming. light leak is annoying as frick.
Sony a95l 77" after next week.
This.
Imagine watching stuff on a device with less than a 50" 4K screen
samsung
only reason i'm participating in this data collection thread is to let other anons know, samsung tvs are dogshit. do not make the same mistake i did.
Which model?
>samsung tvs are dogshit
Why?
a 55 inch 4k screen. don't know the model name
it's shit due to awful backlighting and displaying blacks improperly.
also doesn't support as many video files as it should, forcing you to use another device to watch 1/2 the crap you may have downloaded
Get your lazy ass up and look for the model name Black person
no.
closing the thread now
idgaf already got my paycheck anyway.
Kys white boy
Anon watch iPad
ONN 4K TV without that roku bullshit
old hd toshiba from 15 years ago
>falling for the oled israelite
IDK I bought it off some Pole for £15 and it lives permanently plugged into the PS2 on which I play burnt pirated DVDs like it's still 2008
I got a decently sized old sony TV from the before the times when they actually packed decent speakers into them. It was thin for its day but compared to how skinny they are now its a big fat boy.
3440x1440 144hz PC monitor
its funny because I didnt buy it to watch movies but most movies fit it without bars
65” QLED 2019, still impressive
Projector with a 150" screen. I'll never go back to regular TVs.
48" C1
