What TV shows would you say improved over time to the point that their final season was their best? Rather than starting great and sliding downward.

Zamn lana rhoades looks like that??
Twin Peaks
Desk? What desk?
This, what desk is that? Post more of you have any.
Maybe Farscape. First season is pretty meh, but it gets great later on.
I'd agree with that. First season almost make me skip it. I'd add in TNG had a rough start too but got better as it went with All Good Things being a masterful finale.
Season 3 is peak Farscape simply because 4 ended on a cliffhanger with an uncertain future but it mostly fits the bill.
Also good
I would add Person of Interest
Person of Interest started out dire; bad acting, weak procedurals and not engaging in its premise at all. Started picking up mid way through the first season, was good by the second and just kept going up and up. One of those shows you legitimately should stick with.
I don't know if it was it's best season but Justified's final was fully great.
Babylon-5 wins, the ion drive of scifi but last episodes sucked, it leads to movies & Crusade
mad men
Cheers comes to mind, by the end it was just "Fraiser" writing staff but with different characters to write for.
Does it have the caveat that every season needs to get better, or just that the final season needs to be the best?
A general improvement, doesn't have to be perfectly sequential, but the last season needs to be the best.
The Shield is the best example of this
Damn, I stopped watching at the second season. I hate shows that take way too long to get good
You missed out. It gets really good then keeps getting better all the way to the last episode which is the peak of the series. Perfect finale too
How I Met Your Mother's last season was easily the best

Nah, I'll call you a moron. Or, more likely, a troll.
The fact that they cast the daughter of the actor who played Chucky and then had her have sex with the actress who is supposed to be Chucky's girlfriend in the original movie (which his father starred in) , then having her to play her father in a flashback while wearing a prosthetic that looked exactly like her father when he was young is the most fricked up shit I've seen so far.
sopriano's
It’s hard because it goes against the natural flow of things, because money makes shows longer than they should be. Stories need to end. This is why shows shows that end well have a special place in my heart.
The Shield
There's only gonna be a handful of answers here. The vast majority of TV shows that start out mediocre, or even outright bad, will either be mediocre/bad all the way through or get cancelled before the show has a chance to turn it around.
sexy b***h
The Sopranos for sure
The Leftovers. Season 1 was clearly the worst (Cinemaphile contrarians be damned). 2 and 3 were pretty close, but I'd say 3 is slightly better.
There are plenty of shows that got better with time, but all I can think of kept going until they became shit.
