Bro, you want your characters to have development and arcs? What are you, some kind of pleb? Don’t you know this is a Shakespearean tragedy? The genius writers knew having any form of character development would cheapen the story.
Story was so moronic. Do they expect us to feel sorry for some billionaires, i mean each of them has at least 4 billion dollars. The only one i felt sorry for was greg for how clueless he was about everything.
>Story was so moronic. Do they expect us to feel sorry for some billionaires
No, and that's very obviously the point. I don't think they could have been any clearer about that without literally putting cartoon villain mustaches on the characters.
What show are you watching dude. This is about a power struggle among a bunch of rich incompetent debutantes, they are all horrible people who repeatedly do horrible things
Need a QRD on how the show ended, didn't see the last season and I don't plan to. Thanks in advance, jut want to know who got the company
logan dies of an embolism midflight to sweden to broker a deal to sell the company to swedish elon musk. Ken and Roman seize interim control and try to tank the deal. Shiv gets in cozy with swedish elon musk, and briefly seems that if the deal goes through she will be made ceo. In the last episode swede musk informs tom that he will double cross her and just wants to frick her. He plans to make Tom CEO. Greg leaks this information to Ken. Ken, Shiv and Roman agree to vote against the deal, but when Shiv learns Tom is the successor she votes against ken at the last second and the deal gpes through. Roman has teouble grieving and admits they are not fit to wear their father's shoes. The final scene ends with Ken staring out into the ocean broken and defeated
The reason why they are in a power struggle is because of their moronic father playing them against each other. We could go on like this all day and it would still go back to the father's sins. Con was smart enough if not damaged enough to stay out of it because his father fricked him over first. I don't know what show you watched dude.
>Greg
Even the characters acknowledge he's a good for nothing parasitic leech.
And past the first season, the show is written by literal drooling morons who can't even convey why a character behaves the way it does to the viewer, it's always the same fricking monotone take "look at the billionaire idiots look how stupid they behave look at how wasteful and careless they are"
Can't believe I got meme'd into watching this shit, only good thing about it is the theme music.
Would Greg have really gotten 250 mil when his grandfather passed away? I feel like that was a pipe dream, and the grandfather would have found someone else to give it to. What about his kids? It wouldn't have all been given to Greg the egg now would it?
At any rate, he was a moron for not waiting on that inheritance. He could have been set for life >but what about power and influence
frick that
$250 mil was likely only a small part of Ewan's estate. He was an original investor in Waystar and had voting power on the board, he was probably worth billions
He was always going to disinherit Greg. It's a bit of a theme in Succession. Characters have their mind made up about something but act like the other person forced their hand. Like with Logan, he was never stepping down. Doesn't matter what Kendall did, his mind was made up.
Its not even that. Greg at multiple times had leverage even tom told him to use it. What does he do when he discovers shiv was playing her brothers, he calls ken and tells him instead of using that as leverage to get company ownership, he could have asked for 100 million in stock and ken would have agreed because of how desperate he was. He hanged out with billionaires and got absolutely nothing but a job position and a salary cut from his usual 200k.
they fumbled the final episode, i think we all wanted to see Kendall win just so he could frick it all up in the end. But no, tripped at the finish line just like in season 1, becoming more like his father and better at the job was just a rug pull
>Kendall running the company
If you thought this was ever going to be a thing, you must think Succession is a joke. Just because he puts a serious face on every 5 episodes, people conflate this with running a whole company. I wish the show really hammered it in that the kids were just quip machines and absolutely useless. They didn't go hard enough if people think the show should end with Kendall in charge(even if it's him fricking it up).
running the company
but he has run the company, twice?
again no one expects it to go well with him at the top, but a little catharsis would've been swell 4 seasons of his story considered. Also pretty sure the idea that Kendall could run the company after everything he went through is a valid one, for frick sake he was about be announced in the first episode if not for making key mistakes, but multiple times in season 4 he's shown glimpses of how much competent he became, due in no small part thanks to Logan. Had this version of Kendall been the one in season 1 maybe Logan would've done things differently, he had Mattson on the ropes several times, lets also not forget that while the vaulter thing was embarrassing, even Mattson acknowledges it was a good move that Logan was to senile to see.
Yeah, it would have been nice if after Living+ and getting his dog and bodyguard that Kendall would evolve but the show is realistic. Kendall is a drug addict cuck with entitlement issues and no kids. If his name was Roy, it wouldn't even be a question to make him CEO.
Open some small to mid size firm, find mild success in media, maybe music related, maybe a.i. Does something with Stewie, maybe gets back with Naomi, still haunted by his failure. Ends up facing getting acquired by gojo waystar, decides to sell so that he could be on the board. Sells all he achieved over the last decade just for another shot at ruling the carcass of his father's kingdom, wins, then loses, then finally kills himself
The only thing more pathetic than Kendall is Kendallgays.
These gays spent 4 seasons watching a drug addicted cuck be an absolute embarrassment and loser and STILL think he should have won.
Logan always wins.
as oppose to Tom, sucked enough wiener to the top just so he can have mattson's hand up his ass and his wiener in his wife's ass
what a chad
Tom started as the lowest in the Roy Family and btfo of all of them. And he is giving Logan something that Kendall and Roman could never do. Provide him an heir to continue the Roy bloodline.
just don't find Tom respectable, man looks you dead in the eye and says you are going to be my puppet and im going to frick the woman you loved, your wife ok? and he's just like "right right okaay"
he should have won, frick this stupid show it went nowhere
nothing ever happened its just some pretentious rich people going around in circles and mumbling
I just wanted something major to happen
I just liked him more than the rest and felt like he was the main character from the start, wasnt that the intention? The other siblings barely got any screen time. He was the main character.
Liked him for what? All he does is get sad and mumble "it should be me". You're right about screen time, in season one at least. He became less and less the main character over time.
it's over -> it's so over -> we're back -> we're so back -> etc.
Very well said, if I say so myself, sir
In season 5 he will start his own firm
His dad fricking wins, he fricking loses.
Bro, you want your characters to have development and arcs? What are you, some kind of pleb? Don’t you know this is a Shakespearean tragedy? The genius writers knew having any form of character development would cheapen the story.
bait
not bait and also you dummies, ofcourse people change....all the time
nobody asked you anything you fricking b***h
he learned he should've just kept doing drugs
Story was so moronic. Do they expect us to feel sorry for some billionaires, i mean each of them has at least 4 billion dollars. The only one i felt sorry for was greg for how clueless he was about everything.
>Story was so moronic. Do they expect us to feel sorry for some billionaires
No, and that's very obviously the point. I don't think they could have been any clearer about that without literally putting cartoon villain mustaches on the characters.
The story is about how the dad fricks them, he is the villain, so we are supposed to feel sorry for them for that.

>everything is your fathers part
Having a shit father doesn't absolve you from being a piece of shit.
>i can't enjoy a show unless i feel sorry for the characters!
yikes
>Greg

I am firstborn.
There are no arcs, people don't change. So sayeth Lord Armstrong
change is the ONLY thing people do, and I tire of it
People don't change
except Logan after he believed he was to blame for someone's death, kind of like Kendall
He was a cynical shitlib who deserved to suffer
Need a QRD on how the show ended, didn't see the last season and I don't plan to. Thanks in advance, jut want to know who got the company
He was trying to help get the most money out of the shorts
they fumbled the final episode, i think we all wanted to see Kendall win just so he could frick it all up in the end. But no, tripped at the finish line just like in season 1, becoming more like his father and better at the job was just a rug pull

Saddest clown in the world is tortured eternally to amuse the audience
Anyone else feel like Kendall in the final episode is nothing like the Kendall we get from the rest of the season?
he was always the oldest boy, even when he puts on the adult pants and playpretends to be his dad
i don't give a frick, Kendall from season 3 episode 8 to season 4 episode 9 is not the same character as the one present in the finale
Kendallbros what's our plan for next season?
bring back dasha nekrasova
I want to Cum Free!

based Tomcat

>Provide him an heir to continue the Roy bloodline.
Kid is a wambgans
And still has more Logan Roy Blood in him than Kendalls mutts :^)
Autistic indians that are scared of dinner
Tom will die of a heart attack after 2 weeks as ceo simply out of stress if the rest of the show is any indication.
as oppose to Tom, sucked enough wiener to the top just so he can have mattson's hand up his ass and his wiener in his wife's ass

just don't find Tom respectable, man looks you dead in the eye and says you are going to be my puppet and im going to frick the woman you loved, your wife ok? and he's just like "right right okaay"
This. How many times do you have to see Ken self sabatoged before you just expect it?
Why was Stewey so rich? Did they ever explain his story?
He's canonically persian/iranian so his family probably stole everything that wasn't nailed down to the ground before fleeing the Islamic revolution
There are a bunch of those types around LA and DC
Why aren’t we talking more about Shiv’s dump truck ass?
it lost it's appeal after she ballooned up, any fat b***h could have a fat ass
…but it was nice for a season or two…
>fat ass on a fat woman.
Pass
he should have won, frick this stupid show it went nowhere
nothing ever happened its just some pretentious rich people going around in circles and mumbling
>pretentious rich people
but
>he should have won
Kendall must have had an impact on you if you think he should have "won"
I just wanted something major to happen

>ken
>likable at all
None of the siblings were likable except maybe Con because his nievete was charming, but he'd still sperg out on stuff he couldn't control.
