Never really respected Tony to begin with and now he has to call him boss. That, plus some jail time plus Janice's bpd pussy plus a gay kid would make anyone mad.
No he fricking wasn't, you don't frick up a high stakes poker game your BOSS is running because you're pissed someone who is playing owes you money
You wait until after the game is over, and then kick their shit in. Ritchie had no respect
Entitlement. All the guys who come back from the can have a chip on their shoulder and think time away gives them a license to do whatever they like. Also his brother was very recently acting boss, so it probably sucked that he just missed the opportunity to come up quick. All the shit he pulled might have worked with Jackie, but not Tony. And ultimately he started blatantly disrespecting Tony once he thought Junior was in his corner. Also Janice kept prodding him as well. Either way, his fate was sealed. If Janice didn’t get him, Tony’s guys would have the next day.
I think a lot of the characters were pretty realistic but he was the one that nailed the psychopaththe most. You really did not know where you stood with him
Hard to take orders from someone a decade younger than you. Going to the can didn’t help, all those guys came out with a chip on their shoulder, Phil, Tony B, Richie, Feetch
That arc of him getting the drugs/money and getting back into the lifestyle was so weird and forced. If he towed the line and kept his anger in check he would be making legit bank and probably score some kung pao coochie, pic related.
Plenty of old capos take their orders from younger bosses, respecting the chain of command is the most basic principle of La Cosa Nostra. If Ritchie and Feech couldn't put up with it, then they aren't Cosa Nostra, they're just wastes of space. Tony was actually pretty merciful with them, many real world mob bosses would've offed them the second they started talking shit to their capofamiglia. Phil gets a pass because Johnny Sack was a weak boss and Phil held more respect than he did. But Tony was far more respected than Ritchie or Feech or Tony B
A lot of viewers miss that from season 1 the show is about Tony destroying the family (glorified crew, really) he always wanted to run by killing or driving away all its best captains and earners, until they're down to just incompetents, sycophants and the desperate and Tony's actions drive them into a war with a real family.
There is essentially nothing left by the end due to his psychopathic behaviour and New Jersey gets absorbed by NY
nah right from s1 here's the main highly depressing message >you're going to try really hard >and believe in yourself >and feel happy >and have friends/family... >but only for now >it'll be gone in a moment >everything turns to shit
that's of course what the ducks represent - tony realizing these salad days with your kids and wife ain't gonna' last
they really were just a glorified crew. The Lupertazzi family was also degenerating but It's no coincidence they were the closest associates of the sopranos. Carmine Senior and his son Carmine Junior were the only ones with proverbial heads on their shoulders
He was oldschool. When he came back from his 30 day ban, he saw the current state of Cinemaphile. Multiple Fish Tank threads, dead threads bumped by their OP hours later, newbies asking “is Harry Potter a good movie?” It was too much for him and he snapped.
he was Italian

He had a hard on for Chrissy but lacked a reason.
Adrianna was his niece and Chris disrespected her but not enough for him to take any real action just warn Chris.
> Hey don't fricking threaten me Richie
He was 100% in the right with Davey
No he fricking wasn't, you don't frick up a high stakes poker game your BOSS is running because you're pissed someone who is playing owes you money

Napoleon complex
Nobody respected the jacket
Tony didnt need to guve ut away immeadtly after Richie gave it to him. Couldve tossed it in the closet forever
Everyone on that show was too fricking old, ever Chrissy looked like he was in his 50's by the end
my dude, most real life mobsters are fricking OLD as SHIT
Funny you should say that. James Gandolfini was only 36 in the pilot. He looked so much older for some reason.
Chris's actor just aged kinda hard, Chris is canonically just a little younger than him.
>characters you are slowly turning into

Fricked up what he did to Beansie
Was he the most realistic character on the show? He acted exactly like how I would think a messed up mobster would.

Tony B never really had a chip on his shoulder.
>Tony B never really had a chip on his shoulder.
Then he wouldn’t have beat the frick out of the Asian dude.

Why didn't Adriana care when he died? Wasn't he her uncle or father or something?

I necro post threads a lot. I keep interestng tabs open in the background and sometimes don't get around to reading/replying for 9 or 10 hours.
