I always liked Seinfeld even as a teenager because my life never had meaning in the first place.
Season 1 feels completely different to the rest of the show.
They hadn't really figured out the characters and their dynamic in season 1. They were starting to figure this out in season 2, and season 3 starts to have some great episodes. Season 4 is when they really hit their stride though. You don't have to watch it in order for the most part, you can just watch some of the classic episodes from later seasons.
The finale.
For larry david to come back after not being involved with the show for a while and just make one last episode that says "these people are awful, and so are you if you like them" was genius, and the perfect tonal and thematic set up for "Curb Your Enthusiasm".
I didn't laugh at all during the entire show and i watched it from beginning to end. I still enjoyed it though, i found it entertaining and well written. I just didn't really find it funny.
So just drop it and move on.
