Has to be Cheers. Make's me wanna tend bar in New England.
the correct answer, nothing else comes close
especially the early seasons. fun fact, the full version of the theme song shits on trannies.
Ones aimed towards family audience were fav.
Family Matters, Step by Step, Home Improvement
Why did you put Frasier twice? You couldn't think of a fourth candidate?
Fraiser is more cozy than comfy
Those are synonyms
Early seasons of Seinfeld had a very comfy aesthetic to them. It mostly took place in Jerry's apartment

The true GOAT
>made poverty look kinda comfy
how did they do it, is it because they shot on film?
Probably
that's a pretty funny gag. what show is this?
Malcolm in the Middle
Enjoy anon, wish I could watch it all for the first time again
its in the filename
the shows called malcom_hal_lightbulb
>poverty
this was Hollywood poverty, not real life poverty. Look how big their house is and the kind of neighborhood they live in.
They were never really in poverty though, both parents worked full time and they had a largeish house in what looked like a nice neighborhood
it was just the boys being a massive drain on their income
And Hal skipping every Friday at work
They always had a table full of food and a warm home. Everything else can suck but if you've got that you're good
Based. No laugh track proves how funny it really is
except it isnt
Married with children
Perfect Strangers
Bronson Pinchot, who played Balki, is one of my favorite audio book readers. His reading of 3 Hearts and 3 Lions has the best dwarf I have ever heard. It's so gutteral and gruff you can barely understand him, but that's how I imagine a dwarf would actually sound. It's impressive how good an actor he is.
King of Queens
8 Simple Rules
I miss filmed shows
there was a period several years back when i would have pretty much daily panic attacks and i would calm myself by watching seinfeld episodes
your insanity is not a criterium anon
At its best its peak comfy
Dang. I didn't even think of this one but you're right.
I can't watch this show due to my disdain of the Zach braff and the black guy
frick them and the at&t commercials
The Nanny
based, one of the few sit coms that I can re-watch and still laugh
home improvement
>comfiest
probably friends, every other sitcom has so many episodes focusing on a plot where someone snowballs a lie or something someone's unaware of to an embarrassing but funny pay-off in the end, it felt like friends didn't do that as often
>that episode where Rachel gets her butthole bleached
not as often =/= never do it
friends did that plenty as well, I really hate it when "embarrasment = funny" is the entire theme of an episode of anything
and it's not actually bleaching because the doctor keeps cumming on her ass
There's too many episodes of friends when they just spill secrets about embarrassing things each other did
Feels like a copout for cheap laughs in what are otherwise good episodes. The Brad Pitt one included
That's literally what a sitcom is supposed to be, moron. It's in the name SITuation COMedy. Friends is mostly stupid quips and one-liners with heavy laughtracks in the background
that's one situation, yes, and it's not comfy, thus the less there is of it, the comfier the sitcom in question.
The third season of Seinfeld is not the best season, but it is the most comfy.
Roseanne or Boy Meets World
roseanne had some top quality halloween episodes
You think you know comfy sitcoms? You don't know SHIT
Don't watch the animated series.
I'm never watching any tv show from canada that isn't kenny vs. spenny
Not exactly a sitcom but The Wonder Years. Sometimes you see shows that are so peaceful and sincere they make you feel strange, and TWY is the best example of that.
Cheers > Seinfeld > Frasier
Wings >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Cheers
Maybe Father Ted
Frasier
Seinfeld
Night Court
The Dick Van Dyke Show
Newhart
The Honeymooners
and
Take your pick, they're the only ones that matter.
Cheers
>comfiest sitcom of all time?
Winrar
i think the good place is very comfy
can you really call it really a sitcom?
But IMO it was a decent show for its first two seasons or so but I felt kind of eh about it afterwards. Also, why do the characters all look photoshopped into that picture?

Becker.
Had the only friend group that acted like an actual friend group.
Becker is on rewindtv every night so now every night I watch two episodes. Linda is very cute. Speaking of Becker, it's hilarious seeing the "very special episode" where his high school buddy shows up as a troony. The same channel also plays Just Shoot Me and they had an episode with the same plot but with the David Spade character.
comfiest? cheers
best overall? cheers
highest peaks? early married with children
not a sitcom but easily the comfiest series
I marathon it at least once a year
I just started rewatching Frasier. Is it worth watching Cheers to get the whole backstory?
It's worth watching Cheers because Cheers is good.
It's not required for Frasier. The only episodes that might feel weird are the ones where Cheers cast come back as guest stars. And of those only the Diane episode really needs some kind of explanation and Frasier gives it to you anyhow.
Yeah whenever a cheers character comes up I've been able to infer the backstory, credit to the writers. Honestly they're good enough characters it makes me want to watch the show. I'd kinda like to know what Frasier was like back in Boston. What did he say about his family of origin? What was Lilith like before/during the marriage? Might just have to give it a look.
Cheers is a solid, timeless show. There's an episode here and there that reminds you how old it is (there's an episode where a WorldWar One pilot comes to the bar to meet his buddies and he's the only one left, or the episode where Frasier gets a cell phone that's an entire briefcase) but otherwise it's a bunch of guys past their prime in a bar. It's comfy levels are off the charts.
There are some inconsistencies about Frasier's family, as you never see them on Cheers, but the spin off chalks it up to Frasier being a douche and it works fairly well.
Cheers is fricking KINO
Yes, especially within the context of Frasier; you get to see the full breadth of Frasier's character development from the fairly straight-laced normalgay psychologist to the unhinged spastic he eventually becomes
He gradually goes more and more insane as things go along
Does this count?
Such a comfy show.
