Wrong. Stabbing usually represents repressed sexual desire. Stranglers usually rape first. Axe murdering is pretty rare but nothing to do with sexuality.
Halloween, right around Halloween I know... shocking right? imagine going trick-or-treating after watching that and Michael shows up behind a fricking hedge...
I was like 7 and screamed like a banshee, he was a bro though and gave me candy.
I wouldn't be able to recall. Probably Alien or Jeepers Creepers if that counts. If it has to be a slasher it was probably the early Friday/Nightmare movies. I know I was watching horror movies before my dad started using P2P in the late 90's but I just don't remember what they were. I do have a vivid memory of watching the original Night of the Living Dead and it scared the piss out of me. I looked out the window after it was over in the middle of the night and there was a face looking back at me. I nearly shit myself. I could tell all the blood left my face. I told my dad and he didn't listen. I looked again and it was still there. He finally looked and said "anon that's the cat." Our cat was sitting on the window sill outside waiting to be let in.
Candyman
I was like 4. I was more terrified and scared of the disgusting buildings and dirty pooped toilets and low income conditions than Candyman himself.
I have a phobia of nasty bathrooms because of Candyman
Not sure if it counts as slasher, but Final Destination 1
I was so scared of random shit after watching that lmao I was like 12 and I was afraid of my mom dying in kitchen or something
Saw this last night. I think it qualifies as a proto-slasher. Weird, disturbing movie. It couldn't decide whether it wanted to be a comedy or thriller, without really committing to either. There's a few scenes that will stick with me, though.
Alright other people are saying alien and predator so if those count it was probably predator.
Actually I might have seen aliens before I saw predator if that counts.
horror movies represent a desire to be castrated
by axe murdering the hot blonde, you are seeking to be relieved of the burden of sexual desire
correct.
horror is castrative
drama is onanistic
comedy is coital
take your meds

What are action movies?
Wrong. Stabbing usually represents repressed sexual desire. Stranglers usually rape first. Axe murdering is pretty rare but nothing to do with sexuality.

Halloween 4 on AMC
Also Child's Play 3 but I'm not sure if that counts as a slasher
I got scared watching Clue when I was a really little kid because they'd play scary musical stings when the dead bodies appeared.
When I learned I was hetero
Same, wore the frick out of the tape

silent night, deadly night. I rewatched it recently and it holds up very nicely
Probably the Exorcist, my mom and my aunt were hyping it up as this extreme shit but it bored me, Ringu/The Ring were far scarier.
